Hermione and Harry, the most platonic ship in existence (after NaruHina). I just wish Rowling would have done more with Ginny. She did good, but she could have done more.

 

Actually, Harry/Hermione is more platonic than NH.  H/Hr was totally platonic on both sides at all times, whereas in the case of NH Hinata does have more than sisterly feelings for Naruto.

 

As for Rowling not doing more with Ginny, in some ways I think she held Ginny in reserve.  Not only because Hermione got the lion's (Gryffindor's?) share of girl power, but because Ginny was essentially a secondary character who was part of Harry's settled life after he fulfilled his destiny.  Rowling wanted Harry's main focus to be on neutralizing Voldemort and saving the Wizard world, not a serious girlfriend.  That's why Harry and Ginny don't get together until toward the end of the series.

 

Sometimes I think Kishimoto is doing the same thing.  Naruto is very much like his father, just as Harry was like his father.  Sakura is a reflection of Naruto's mother, just as Ginny was a reflection of Harry's mother.  Likewise, I think Sakura may be taking the back seat a lot because she is ultimately part of Naruto's final destiny.  

 

Maybe Kishimoto thinks that if he were to highlight Sakura too much now, it might reduce the impact she will have when she does finally move to her place at Naruto's side.  At least I prefer to think that as opposed to the alternatives....

Luna was always a cracked ship. But come on. In the books there is zero romantic Harry and Hermione moments. Ron and Hermione have them and so do Harry and Ginny.

I ship Harry with no one. Ginny and him didn't spend enough time together early on, and his relationship with Hermoine was always platonic.

 

I accept him with Ginny though. I really liked that he became a part of the Weasley family. They were warm and cozy and always accepted him. :3

Yea she could have done more in terms of quantity but given how many subplots she had to focus on she did well.

 

I can kinda understand why she didnt focus on ships for the first 3 books. If you think about it just how good a ship can you make with two 11,12,13 year olds. 

 

That would be kinda like making NS cannon in part 1. What will they do for the rest of the manga try to get to first base? Nah. 14 is a good year to start developing fictional relationships.
