That whole "Who is the mother" Arc could have been easily prevented if Sakura or Sasuke had just been honest to Sarada (because seriouely, I see no Logical reason why they shouldn't).

"We live in a world that is so quick to convince us to ignore our feelings. Feeling stressed? Get a massage. Feeling angry? Go to the bar with your friends and blow off steam. Feeling lonely? Meet someone in cyberspace and have a conversation on the computer. Depressed? Take a pill. Anxiety? Take 2 pills. Feeling happy? Well, by George, don’t talk about that because no one likes a bragger. Same with being sad, no one likes a Debbie Downer. But, heaven FORBID, that you actually TALK about your feelings and process them in a healthy way."

A sub-plot that sounds like it came out of a rejected script from General Hospital and has no place in a Shonen manga.

Yesss, and it's also unlike any other previous conflict in the manga.

Petty drama was never Kishi's thing to write. Additionally, why sympathize with Naruto's POV when the conflict is seen from Boruto's only, yet shows him in a bad light as well? It's like they want us to conclude they're both kitten.

To be honest, it doesn't shape up to that conclusion?

On both examples, this is chronic tension, relationship issues at play. SS has always been angsty, the drama in Gaiden plays to that sort of flavor. In Boruto we've seen the father-son issue before. I feel for both of them, because the situation takes its toll on both parties.

Boruto is like a spanish soap opera.

Trying to kill eachother isn't melodramatic, it's like you said, tragic.

It's horribly cringey and pathetic for both of them. That DNA test was just an example, a big "WTF is this really happening" moment for the entire fandom. That was like some Maury grade s***.

From a writing perspective, this is how you bring things to a height. Something like this is to be expected.

It was expected of them to look so pathetic?

People already knew Salad was Sakura's and Sasuke's spawn before this scene, so that "height" blew up as soon as it took off. There was no real purpose in making that scene when it was made clear from the start. It was disgraceful to all three of them, moreso Sakura and Salad. The other couldn't care less.

Don't want to give the man any credit for this, because I really want to meet him and punch him as hard as I can right in the face.

But am I the only one that see the whole DNA test showing that whats her face is Karin's daughter and umbilical cord shown to still be with her, as a nudge from Kishi saying "Hey look it's actually Karin's daughter, but since I'm not the one deciding the ending I somehow have to back peddle and come up with an excuse to say it's Sakura's, cause you know I'm not the only that decided the ending."

Do not mistake this as me excusing his actions, cause even though he's not the one that pick this route, he still holds blame.

But that's how I saw Gaiden. Why go through the whole soup opera of a plot of "Who's your mamma" ? Yo mamma so fat :D

I saw it as him getting his hands on something and trying at least to show small things to reveal what he wanted. Like that chapter being called The Real Ending.

It's not brilliant, not by a long shoot, but it's something.

So am I alone in seeing this this way?

Which I've told you - time and time again - is dangerous! There will never be consensus, son, among those you have helped to ascend. They will all differ in their views of what it means to be free. The peace you so desperately seek does not exist.

These men are united now by a common cause. But when this battle is finished they will fall to fighting amongst themselves about how best to ensure control. In time it will lead to war. You will see.

That is true I mean I am not married but I know that things like getting married does take time, but you need to remember that to the NH fans say that their love is so true that this was not needed for them to spend all this time together or some other BS that the NH fans like to come up with.

Again there are thing you and your wife know about each other, what does Hinata or Naruto know about each other nothing at all their fears their likes and so on.

My nan and grandad were married for a long time and when they had a fight like all couples do he went out to his garden for them both too cool down and it worked.

NH and SS married lives are doomed to fail NH rushed into it same with SS I bet, then again I bet NH fans will say they did live together, you have to also remember that pro-enders all live in their own little bubble world they can't face real life.

Hinata didn't even know that ramen was Naruto's favorite food. She had to lead him into revealing it himself.

In theory we are suppose to sympathize with Bolt and take his side since he is the main character. The problem is one we have know Naruto for far longer so we are naturally more sympathetic to him, and two SP don't want to show Naruto as neglecting his family because that means he is neglecting Hinata. So all that does is make Bolt come off as a whiny spoiled brat that's overreacting to his father having a job that may require him to work late. At least the movie and the manga have it resolved by this point the anime has to keep it going as long as they can.

From what I recall Kishimoto was experimenting with the possibility of going with it, but then the SS freaked out and threatened him; so he backed off.

Hell, I'm pretty sure this was the original idea, it evens makes the gaiden have a message "Family is who raises you and loves you, not who you share blood with" , it makes sense considering by this point Kishi didn't give a shiet about Sakura's character and Studio Pierriot got the NH they wanted so they probably didn't care about Sakura raising a bastard SK child. He set it all up, the dna test, the umbilical cord, the photos. But I bet he backed up at the very last second because of SS fans threatening to quit this mess of a series and they've already lost way too much fanbase with the ending, so he said "Dudeees it was a praaank, it is actually karins' OWN umbilical cord for some reason(don't make me explain how and why Orochimaru has it though). In the end, even the Gaiden was manipulated by fans, this is the problem with something going too mainstream, and I fear this could keep happening, hell, the main reason I'm abstaining of watching Boku No Hero Academia is because I fear for it's future, if it's gonna get screwed over just like this did, I'd rather NOT invest time with it, I'm gonna wait for it to end.

“There are many types of monsters in this world, monsters who will not show themselves and who cause trouble. Monsters who abduct children, monsters who devour dreams, monsters who suck blood, and, monsters who always tell lies. Lying monsters are a real nuisance, they are much more cunning than other monsters. They pose as humans, even though they have no understanding of the human heart. They eat, even though they've never experienced hunger. They study even though the have no interest in academics. They seek friendship even though they do not know how to love. If I were to encounter such a monster, I would likely be eaten by it, because in truth, I am that monster.”   -L. Lawliet

You are forgetting two things:

1: Not American Culture. Japanese Culture. Think of Older times when dating didn't exist like it does now, and living together would be seen as not the norm before marriage, the commitment more lasting. You would probably get married in a year.

2: They actually have known eachother for quite some time. You are arguing they haven't spent much time together, but material states they actually have pre-Last.

As an aside, kind of fits Naruto character to charge in head first to this thing. Commitment wouldn't be an issue for him, nor for Hinata. They wouldn't really need to wait if they didn't wish to.

Oh, so you are saying you DON'T understand Japanese culture. Good to know!!! :zaru: First off, Japanese culture is more conservative with romance and marriage than American culture, so they rush into marriage EVEN LESS than Americans do. In fact they are in marriage and birth rate decline right now, but that is a different issue altogether. Secondly, your thought process is as if Japanese culture is not modernized to the point that dating, actually becoming more emotionally intimate with your partner, and understanding just what you are signing up for when you "tie the knot" is not a thing, which just shows ignorance AGAIN on your part. So  basically are you saying Naruto and Hinata are an ARRANGED marriage? That's why their marriage seems so loveless then, am I right? :lmao:  But jokes aside, Naruto and Hinata are NOT in an arranged relationship, which renders your argument pointless and moot, for the last few hundred times too might I add. They actually SHOULD have been dating longer and getting to know each other for at least a few years before marrying, by modern social and romantic conventions.

Also, if you are using their years of merely only being acquainted with each other before they fell in love and married, you are only proving us right again. Naruto BARELY associated with Hinata at best and never interacted with her in a casual and civilian setting. He was frequently spending more time with Sakura actually, so by that logic WHY SHOULDN'T THEY, NARUTO AND SKAURA, HAVE BEEN MARRIED? You tell me.
