it has been far to long friends glad you,ve been keeping my thread alive tomorrow kh3 is out im excited though ive seen some fans on here disappointed about kairi's role even to the point of comparing her to how sakura was handled which is rediculous but everyone has there viewpoints shes gonna play a big part i know it and i have a feeling sokai is gonna be endgame

It's not ridiculous at all. They are upset because they expected to see Kairi's time to shine. Personally, I think she deserved better than she got, especially on-screen.

#969256 The Official Pokemon Thread

@LuckyChi7 I think I have to disagree with you on Serena being the best female in pokemon, to me, that's going to have to be Jessie we know more about her past then Serena, so I would have to say that Jessie is better developed than Serena is.

As for the whole Serena and Ash knowing each other and people are saying they are the best of friends I have to disagree with that too most summer camps only last a week or even two, so they wouldn't have gotten to know each other that well not like Ash and Brock or Ash and Gary.

To me, I think Ash's best friend is Gray and Brock he knows more about them then Serena, I I kind of have to agree with Evil100 on this Serena is a little overrated in my eyes I get it she is the first to show her love out in the open and not hide it.

I mean whenever a story pops up not related to Serena pops up or art the Amour fans get way too out of hand. Another friend Don 77 on fanfiction was bullied off from doing anything pokemon related unless Serena was the main focus.

Is Serena the best pokegirl to ever show up in pokemon, sadly no again there is Jessie and now Lillie.

I agree with you. Just like Hinata, Serena is mostly relevant for shipping/fan service (but even then, Serena is better. At least she could interact with Ash)

Sadly, she didn't have a proper goal. She spent tons of episodes not knowing what to do/blushing for Ash, then she wanted to be Kalos Queen (which was a lame contest wannabe based on popularity and not talent) then she wanted to make people happy? She didn't even get a full team. And though I'm not her fan, I think that was unfair, because I really liked her game/manga counterpart. She deserved better.

Heck, there was recent a poll about the cutest pokegirl (won by Misty, second May and third Serena) and all they could talk about third place was her crush (they also said Ash was a jerk for not returning her feelings. Kinda like Naruto being an idiot for ignoring Hinata)

I think you guys are being a little too hard on the character for being a homemaker. That's a perfectly fine thing for someone to want to be.

If she was married to let's say Kiba and was still the same, no one would bat at an eye. I think honestly it's mainly because its Naruto and it shows their home life to be miserable.

Not really. Hinata was supposed to fix her clan as their leader. You know, make her father, sister, cousin and herself proud of her growth.

Yeah, the fact she ended with Naruto is the worst, but if she had became a housewife after getting married to X, that would still be bad for her as a character. She had potential, but we'll never see it because she only mattered when it came to fangirl over a boy.

Here's a pic of it. It's just how she looked in the anime.

Beware: May burn your eyes

Actually, this is sad. No cool ninja Hinata, no Byakugan princess or whatever... Just a good-looking future wife. She has no relevance at all besides being a sexual toy/kitchen slave. Worst part? Every "fan" or hers will be jumping of joy because their hime got a pretty figure.

Nothing new, I guess.

To each their own, but I really think that Tri was nothing more than a fan service/plot holes fest. They just used the first cast for nostalgia's sake and kinda ruined them. If they wanted to justify certain epilogue, it didn't work.

#962015 Sakura’s Portrayal In the Anime

Posted by Yojeveka on 19 February 2018 - 09:36 PM

I agree with you guys.

Hinata is loved because of SP and the way she's portrayed, right? Well, same thing occurs with this Sakura-hate. As the series keep going, Hinata became cuter and "stronger", while Sakura was more like a crybaby/violent towards Naruto.

(If you ignore Hinata's crush, I guess they wanted her to shine because Nana Mizuki was working with them)

Ahem, back to Sakura's portrayal, another thing I hated was her constant "Should I save Naruto or Sasuke-kun?" I mean, really? Even after knowing about Sasuke's deals? This was just a poorly way to sell Team 7 love triangle. In the end, this was her only purpose for SP. After all, they never saw her as the heroine.

I hate these kinds of fans which sadly many of them are like that because shippers will always ship. But there's a limit to take it too far.

I think it's cool to ship whatever you want, canon or not. However, to act like it's the absolute truth and insult people who disagree with your OTP is totally stupid. That's the difference between true shippers and obsessive fans.

#958920 Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi

Posted by Yojeveka on 24 December 2017 - 02:50 PM

oh and regarding luke after thinking about it his arc makes sense being broken and bitter yes he is prtly to blame he failed ben just as obi wan failed anakin its star wars poetry and i love it plus luke was tainted by the darkside in the ot just as rey was its really interesting when i get past the gripes of the movie it came to me as to why rian did what he did but i can't defend that rose subplot its to cringy and i pray to god love triangle mess isn't involved

No, it still doesn't make any sense. Luke was supposed to be BETTER than Obi-Wan, who gave up with his former friend Anakin Skywalker and just wanted Luke to kill Vader. It was so OOC of him to planning to murder his very own nephew. I mean, what did he do in the first place? Having darkness within him? Come on, they didn't even explain the reason of this. Anakin lost it because he wanted more power to save Padmé.

Check this out:

Luke tried to save Darth Vader when he discovered he was his father, even knowing all terrible things he has done.

Luke tried to negotiate with Jabba instead of using violence at once, even though he kidnapped his best friend and sister.

Luke didn't try to kill Palpatine until he was forced to do so (seeing his allies dying)

Like Mark Hamill himself said, Luke never gives up. We did not saw our hero one last time, just a bitter old man being scared because plot reasons and new gen crap.

Also, am I the only one who hated this Rey/Kylo Ren soap opera? Why is he so obsessed with her?

Read at your own risk

#955576 Digimon is coming back!!

Posted by Yojeveka on 21 November 2017 - 05:45 AM

It seems a sequel of a Digimon season is a bad option from we're seeing from Tri. Insert a character like Meiko, focus on a side character and weakening the plot is a sequel I wouldn't want to see of Digimon. They're destroying the fun of watching Digimon and its story.

I hope they change this route at some point. Just let side characters be depicted as main characters before showing a season and everything would be fine.

Yeah, but they might depict Ryo and Rika moments along with Takato and Jeri like they're doing now in Tri's latest part with Tai and Meiko.

If Meiko was created just to be with Tai, It amazes me how badly written is "their story". We had several times playing with TaixSoraxYamato and now we need to remember that Meiko is the ultimate OTP? Just like Yamato and Sora, whose ship was so lacking. They keep repeting the same mistake all over again and that's kinda sad.

#953699 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Posted by Yojeveka on 01 November 2017 - 06:07 AM

What do you guys think Kishimoto's intention was to resolve the fake confession? And why did he even write it?

The confession is something that anyone who believes Kishimoto's intention was NH can easily refer to. And I have a hard time arguing that the scene is anything but a disaster for NS. Because of Sakura's nebulous feelings and because of Naruto's terrible reaction to it.

No matter how honest he intended Sakura to be, it would only make things harder for the two characters. Any future confession would be a callback to that one. It was anti the pairing. I honestly think he wanted to give himself a way out of having to do the pairing. Maybe not because he wanted to do NH, but just to give himself options. Then he eventually decided on NH and continued to fuel a pairing war to the very end as everyone saw. If he ended up doing NS anyway, he could just use the bench scene and do whatever. The confession would still be bizarre in retrospect, but not as weird as the ending actually ended up being.

The natural thing for the reader and what Naruto assumed is that Sakura doesn't love him. And that ended up being correct. There's just very few ways that it can be seen as good. A way it could have been written as good for the pairing is a "No, but we'll talk about this later" answer from Naruto. Not the answer we got which was basically "kitten off, you're a liar"

Another way is if they actually revisited it sometime before the end, but that would probably have had its own issues. Because how then do you resolve it without resolving the pairing entirely?

Guess there's isn't much to say about this. We all know that LoI was the second worst arc in Shippuuden. Everyone pretty much went OOC and we had tons of pointless drama. Speaking of which, I guess that was Kishimoto's intention. Adding a whole soap opera for Team Seven because Akatsuki was over and he needed something spicy and interesting (?) So our dorama begins with:

An obsessed Naruto getting his butt kicked because he loved Sasuke so much. No one else matters, 'kay? The hell is a promise of a lifetime? Can you eat one?

Sasuke having this mental breakdown and trying to kill his ex/current partners. Yeah... Sorry?

But wait... There is someone missing! Oh, right, there was this pink haired main character, right? We should include her somehow.

Soooo...

Sakura realizing temporary that Sasuke is truly evil and doing an effort to confront him

Sakura having such a terrible confession in order to protect Naruto and giving up her goal of being useful for him.

In the end, they started to went downhill and we didn't realize it. Or maybe we did, but we trusted that the author would make amends after that. 'Cause you know, when something really bad happens in a shonen, we're supposed to see how it gets better eventually, right? Solutions, redemptions and/or closure.

Then, everything changed when the A$$pull nation attacked  :hm:

#953029 Whats your OTP now that NS was given the pipe?

Posted by Yojeveka on 25 October 2017 - 06:19 AM

Okay right now I have a new ship obsession!!! *____*

K so I love Boy Meets World when I was a kid and grew up with it so of course I love Corpanga. OTP4life.

But I came across loving a new ship as I started watching Girl Meets World, and that is Riley and Farkle lol.

I dont know if this is a big ship there but it is so adorable and is cute and reminds me a lot like NaruSaku. X)

Omg! Glad to meet someone who also likes BMW series! Although GMW wasn't as good as the first one, it had some potential. Riarkle was such a cute ship and I liked Farkle as a character (after he developed) but they decided to put him... well...  with a female Farkle xD I did not like that, but the way they resolved certain other love conflict was just pathetic. Seriously. I wish that triangle didn't exist at all.

#953005 What if Sasuke had killed Sakura during the Land of Iron arc?

Posted by Yojeveka on 25 October 2017 - 12:28 AM

She faked her own family photos, she got angry and almost destroyed her house when Sarada questioned her mariage, she had to practically beg for a kiss from her husband (which she didn't received), she seldom sees Sasuke, her beloved one, she raised Sarada on her own because he was busy traveling... Do we really need to see more to be sure about her "happiness"?

#952999 What if Sasuke had killed Sakura during the Land of Iron arc?

Posted by Yojeveka on 24 October 2017 - 11:37 PM

? Again I ask, what do you want them to do. You talk as if Sakura is a child when, by now, she's a grown ass woman who's going to make her decisions, with her parents' approval or not.

When did I say that? I know Sakura is not a child (even if she acted like one when Sarada asked about Sasuke) I'm just saying that parenting sucks in Boruto. I think you're taking way too seriously this "taking decisions and being an adult" topic. In the end, age and maturity won't matter. Her decisions were a mess, her parents were non existent, her mariage sucks and she's not exactly happy. Why should we care if she's a grown ass woman, a teenager or a buttlerfly?

What do I want them to do? Well, I'd like to see them alive or at least sharing some time with her daughter and Sarada, but if Sakura is no longer important in this series, then that's a no-no.

#952986 What if Sasuke had killed Sakura during the Land of Iron arc?

Posted by Yojeveka on 24 October 2017 - 10:11 PM

I think what she means is that while Sakura should be advised by her parents it's not like they can hold her down and keep her captive. They'll just have to trust that she knows what she's getting into

Yeah... Then what? Sit down and see her daughter being miserable along with their granddaughter?

#952787 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Posted by Yojeveka on 23 October 2017 - 06:13 AM

Let me add to that James, although you covered it VERY WELL. Here is what bugs me. It is practically FORCED down our throats that Naruto and Hinata were meant to be together from the beginning but as you say Why doesn't Naruto show any attraction to Hinata before the end? Why Does Sasuke treat Sakura as an annoyance than a friend early in part 1 and all of part II. If these these couples were meant to be together from the beginning, why wasn't there more focus on developing these couples instead of Naruto X Sakura? Why where these couples only made last minute if they were always meant to be canon when Dragon Ball that doesn't even focus on romance, established it's couples early and even does a better job portraying the the relationship of its couples?

In fact Why did Naruto and Sakura's relationship need to be DESTROYED for both of these couples to even work. Naruto went form best friends that always are together to like strangers that are only acquainted with each other  after The Last". And again the writers of this trash force us to believe that Naruto and Sakura are still platonic life partners or like brother and Sister but they don't even talk to each other. NOT ONE CONVERSATION between them occurs after "The Last". Here is a good example of Platonic life partners

There is an anime that came out recently called "Gamers!" and the Main character is going out with the School Idol, because they (sort of) bond over their love of video games, and it was consistently shown he is only attracted to her and she is attracted to him. BUT is he closest with his girlfriend? No. HE spends much more time with his best friend's girlfriend and is close enough that the girlfriend and  best friend thing that he and this other girl would be a better couple, but both the Main character and the Best friend's girlfiend explicitly state that they are not into each other at all.

Do you see that with NH or SS here?

I'm sorry. was I talking to you?

You're so right! It's such a shame that people cares more about self inserting themselves than the actual development of these characters.

Remember Junko Takeuchi? She's a NS shipper and she admitted that NH being canon was a "TA-DA" for her. If they were meant to be together, then why was she shocked about it? She may not be the author, but she spent years voicing Naruto. I think he's her most iconic role and of course she knows him pretty well. That says a lot.
