Realm: zul'jin

Recently I've been excited to get back into WoW . But the problem is, I don't have anything to play on.

I've tried to do my research on needed graphics/sound cards to run the game smoothly.

Well someone dumb it down for me?

I'm not trying to build a computer, I'm just looking for one that will run the game will with minimal lag. Preferably a Windows/pc lap top. No Macs.

At this time I do not have a set budget. But I'm wondering if I could get something under 800 usd that will be good to me.

Recap on what Im looking for:
- Windows/pc laptop under 800usd
- minimal lag, able to run WoW

800 is what I have on hand and is what i'd like to spend. But anything more feel free to recommend.

World of warcraft has purposely kept their graphics requirements pretty low almost any $800 laptop will run the game on medium-high fine. My recommendations would be for an asus or a vaio laptop although the sony's are a little pricey. I've had both before and they served me well for gaming about 3~ years a piece. One last piece of advice would to be sure it has dedicated graphics, although it's not needed my cousin plays wow on a dell with integrated graphics and can run wow on medium fine.

Operating System Windows® XP/Windows Vista®/Windows® 7/Windows® 8 (Updated with the latest Service Packs) Windows® 7/ Windows® 8 64-bit with latest service pack Processor Intel® Pentium® D or AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Intel® Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz,
AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 2.6GHz or better Video NVIDIA® GeForce® 6800 or
ATI™ Radeon™ X1600 Pro (256 MB) NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT,
ATI™ Radeon HD 4830 (512 MB) or better Memory 2 GB RAM (1 GB Windows® XP) 4 GB RAM Storage

25 GB available hard drive space

Internet

Broadband internet connection

Media

None for the recommended digital installation

Input Keyboard and mouse required. Other input devices are not supported. Multi-button mouse with scroll wheel Resolution

1024 x 768 minimum display resolution

above are the system requirements as you can see the minimum  requirement is a dual core processor and a graphics card from 2004 so pretty lax. I'd look at what else you'd want to be doing on the laptop before you purchase it specifically for WoW.

Hey thanks. That's what I was thinking. I already knew WoW kept their settings low, hence the reason why I was only asking about the game itself. I was looking for specific brands that would do right by me.

Everything else I want to do, would be fine with any lap top really. Besides writing papers for school and recording music, there is really nothing else I should be taking into consideration.

You helped alot, thanks! I appreciate it.
