t sucks that fellow NaruSaku fans are fighting each other over this but ih was gonna happen whether you liked it or not. Also aren't we supposed to be better than nh shippers?
These hardcore fans have been glued to Ichiruki for years, and saw the two main characters (male & female) have such a “good” platonic relationship and concluded that they would be “good for each other.”
The only scenes IR pull out for their so-called “evidence” is just their own version of what they want to be “romantic”.
IH did have all the “romantic undertones” in their scenes, but were dismissed because IR fans deemed Orihime’s one-sided feelings-- as just that, and choose to only view it as a “useless girl that won’t get noticed by Ichigo”.They falsely portrayed Ichigo as a guy that “ignores” Orihime, when they are blind to consider the circumstances/events and what is actually happening around them.
IH went through the ups & downs in the progression of the manga:
from Orihime’s feelings & her determination to protect Ichigo growing strongerr,
Ichigo growing in terms of accepting that Orihime has grown stronger and depending on her,
both getting closer in each arc,
from “she’s a friend of a friend” to her being a“treasured friend”,
going alongside him to protect their friends,
both exclusively promising to protect each other,
Ichigo worrying about her and always asking “Are you alright?”,
Ichigo’s reaction to Orihime proclaimed dead/or a traitor,
his determination to rise from the dead to save her,
the traumatizing events they both faced- but are able to overcome,
him coming to her defense in anything,
Orihime being brainwashed-yet still has feelings for Ichigo,
being alone in Ichigo’s house to have a conversation,
stingy Ichigo letting Orihime sit on the bed he won’t let anyone sit on,
Orihime coming to understand him more,
and to both working in sync against the enemy.
With so many other scenes that showed how they have grown; both in terms of love & friendship.
They are only “confident” because Bleach started with Ichigo & Rukia– thus should end with it. They apparently believe in the “color-spreads” with Ichigo & Rukia– even if Ichigo has been beside other characters. They also have been fed by SP through the anime, where they are given fillers, movies, and etc. Ichigo & Rukia do have a great relationship, but the only “romance” is seen through their assumptions of what the manga scenes are portraying.
While IH is considered by them a“fail, toxic, or delusional”, because of many reasons that are placed into their biased viewpoint of Ichihime from their hate/dislike of Hinata but Orhime isn't hinata because she has fought her own battles,gotten stronger and doesn't just worry about Ichigo but all her friends.
