IMO Episode 2 was fine ( since it actually establishes Asta and Yuno's rivalry and Yuno's changed attitude towards Asta from before), episode 3 was completely unnecessary, and all fillers after that were a combination of adding to the back story and fleshing out some characters but it kills the episode pacing with along side of taking too long to get to the fights that manga fans enjoy. Plus again if you are not a manga reader for the series it will NOT leave an impression on you since many long time shonen anime/manga fans are kittening on it as a cliché-fest, which is why again they should have progressed the plot sooner

That's different. Twin Star Exorcist was kittened on because they HAD almost NO source material to work with as the manga is not very far in the narrative so they had to make their own story as they go along and come up with their own ending which was open ended anyway so fans were dissatisfied with that. Black Clover has no such excuse as there are 100 chapters so they have quite a bit to work with in the mean time, Fans are just annoyed at how slow this is

Seems like we're finally having 2 chapters per episode because this latest episode covered chapters 8 & 9. still annoyed it took this long for the anime to adapt two chapters per episode, but better late than never I guess.

 

 

As for the Black Clover Video Game, that is interesting.

Huh, so it's popular enough in Japan to get a video game? that's a good sign at least I'm waiting for my mom before we watch episode 10 And I'll give my thoughts after

Okay watched the episode and FINALLY I look forward to next week since that is when the anime is introducing Julius, and the week after that (I hope) starts the best early series arc lol, the fight against Mars!!!!

They honestly should have just combine the last two episode into one. Just to speed things up just a bit. The anime isn't bad just kind of too slowly paced at the moment and could try to speed up a bit.

 

From what I have seen from the popularity polls, and the volume sales; Black Clover is popular and successful in Japan long before it got its anime. The Editor-n-Chief's desire for it to be "The Next Naruto" was for that success to spread internationally.

 

That's probably the main difference between Boruto and Black Clover right now by the looks of things. Boruto is popular among people that watch Naruto when they were kids (and don't care about how bad the plot is), but most are watching on Youtube therefor most likely not paying for it. While Black Clover is popular in Japan where the people watching it are likely to financially support it.

Yup. and the next arc will be even better!!!!! Next week is somewhat mundane but it is crucial plot wise

They're ruining the anime adaptation. lol I still love it though just because it's Black Clover regardless. BTW you will have to be more specific on which Vermillion you are talking about, there are at least 5 Vermilllions Mimosa Fuegoleon, Leopold Meleoleona, And Kirsch

Its pacing in terms of plot is slow, but has begun to pick up in the last couple of episodes. It's not pulling any Boruto or Naruto shenanigans with the characters if that's what you're concerned about.

 

And yes, Mereoleona is best Vermillion waifu.

Yeah that is true it's not necessarily being ruined but just too slow, and that in turn hurts the hype that was brought up for it and it is a real shame because I love it so much and want it to be a huge international hit hit but it is just dividing  the series even further among fans and casual viewers,

 

P.S. Yes Meleoleona is the best waifu, unless you are talking about for Asta. because Asta's BEST and ONLY waifu is Noelle!!!!!
