So I've thought more about my answer and what bothers me about NS and trying to pinpoint when it died.... And that's just the thing. There isn't a single moment! There is no NS panel, no last connection between them, or last heartbreak. There is literally just nothing. 

 

For me, I guess it would have been at the bitter end, with Sasuke's forehead tap and Hinata in the cemetery. It was just confirmation of the end. But not the death of NS. There just was no end to NS, along with no beginning of NS or no beginning of NH. 

 

I realize the storyline was fleshed out in The Last and the novels, but you know, I don't really count those as canon to the story (the manga) because that Naruto is so vastly different from the original. Same with Sakura, Hinata and all the rest. 

 

I wish i could go back and pinpoint a definitive panel between Naruto and Sakura when their romance was officially over...but there just wasn't one.

 

(In fact, their last panel together has Naruto thanking Sakura, which is used as 'I love you' throughout the whole manga. So even their last manga scene was an NS mixed message.) 

 

I'm not arguing that NS wasn't canned for NH. It absolutely was. It's just...that all their development, all their mutual feelings were thrown out the window without a second glance. NS didn't end...they just went on like it never happened at all.

And the worst of it all, is that Kishi kept including NS moments until the very end (y'know the moment Minato asked Naruto ifshe was his girlfriend ! and Naruto said Yes ) it was still shown that Naruto loved her, so, it confirms that it was a last moment decision the make Naruto return Hinata's feelings. 

I think that, if they really wanted to make NH, they should've said that to Kishi earlier (it's way too obvious it wasn't his own decision), so that he can make a conclusion to Naruto and Sakura's relationship, but NO, they preferred making a movie about it, to make more money and kitten on this manga, and make, as you said, as if it never existed. 

The moment when you're reading the new chapter of berserk, and you're so excited about the next one because it's going to be an awesome one, then you see THAT :

I think one of the reason why post casca "hate" guts is he almost kill their baby. Notice how it parallel with gambino situation.

I never thought about it like that, since she was afraid the first time they saw each other after the eclipse, before the "baby's" incident. 

I thought that she was afraid after how Griffith treated her, and since Guts a guy too.... 

I'll be concerned when the most obvious pairings from Fairy Tail ended up shafted.

FT doesn't even count, cause it'll obviously end with tons of pairings and kids.... oh God.

Imo, FT is the best example of what's wrong with shonen mangas (and shojos too) nowadays: money, lame stories, and fanservice.

Okay, the first pages were kinda good (you know the colored ones), I thought that the art was finally not great but acceptable, I liked to realistic traits the characters have...then the black and white pages came ! Mangaka-sensei, have you forgotten the background or what happened ? Why are the lines and all so bad in some panels ? 

Hinata looks so lifeleess !! (You know, I completely forgot the very existence of Byakugan, I was there "why is her eyes so white"...because this manga, is just not Naruto anymore) 

Oh and an oversexualised Sarada..of course (maybe they tried to compensate what Hinata did to her boobies x) btw she looks younger and younger...is she using Melisandre's necklace or what? ) 

Now the story, he just keeps repeating the same sentences in the first pages... "this is my story" "well my father played a role in it" WE KNOW !!(and Naruto is dead apparently ? doesn't surprise me...he seemed so weak after the last xD...well before  )

And why Konoha have,  once again, been destroyed  ?

But I'm not gonna lie, the story kinda kept my attention, I was deep into it and read everything in one go; it's not good, but it's not bad either(it just has a LOOOOOT of flaws haha )...it's just readable ! 

 

 

 

So my secret theory is this: Even though the Naruto Sakura tension is supposedly over because both have been shipped off, that we are actually going to still see some subtle NS, hidden or implied or just by outright association. Either Sakura is going to continually be around Naruto in the series (through convenient plot devices) or there will be some suspenseful issue that will require her to come into the scenario.

 

I don't think we've seen the end of Sakura...although we might have seen the end of Hinata.

 

Hinata's fans only wanted to see her married. That's it. They didn't care about anything else. Not Naruto, not Hinata's development. Nothing. So why would they continue to build her up in the plot? Her fans got what they wanted, so it's no longer a draw.

 

But Sakura's fans and NS-ers were unfulfilled. And any Sakura/NS fan is going to tune in to see Naruto and Sakura together, even if it's just surface-level platonic. (That Sarada one-shot had crazy NS overtones!) So I think they are going to continue to insert Sakura into the story — even though she was supposedly the 'most hated' — because they know that tension was what drove readers to the story. Not the boring happy ending. 

 

And I'm betting that they don't expand Sakura's family with another sibling or give her anything close to requited love with Sasuke. Ever. Because if they do, it will take away from any implied NS or hero-worship of Naruto.

 

So my 'secret' theory is that even though on the surface Sakura was supposedly hated by fans and given the worst ending in the manga, that they still really need her for the plot. And they know it. That stories involving her and Team 7, even if it's just in the background, will still have more appeal than inserting Hinata. Which is why we're not seeing so much NH family time or sappy NH romance (thank god). I'm betting if things get slow, sales slump, the first thing they'll turn to is a return of Team 7, and most importantly Sakura, to the picture. Not NH.

 

I don't know, I could be wrong.... I've been really wrong about a lot of things in this franchise so far!! haha! But I'm betting we haven't seen the last of Sakura.

Well, it can happen, but I guess you're using too much logic and we all know that Naruto + logic...

Which character you think will suffer the most from its new artstyle? Don't say all...

Well, I've seen fanartists doing a bettteeer job than this mangaka...seriously, even in this add, the art is just...terrible ! The lines aren't even straight enough (especially Boruto's face)... well thank God, I'm not gonna read that ! 

Well before saying anything, I guess that my opinion is different now compared to the one I had before the ending ! 

Now, well...I sure have preferred an open ending instead the crappy one we had, but I have to admit that before it finished, I really wished to see NS become canon, because it was part of the story, it was one of Naruto's dreams to get the girl of his dreams (well less than becoming hokage , but we neither had one nor the other), so if we had an open ending, I sure would have been a little bit disappointed.

Are you kidding? Do you know how much fan-fiction they made of Naruto having sex with Himawari and Hinata having sex with Bolt?

Off-topic: I was watching the anime Monster, when one the characters was talking and talking and talking, and then recognized his voice....In fact, he was voiced by Junko Takeuchi ! x) with the saaame voice as Naruto without the dattebayo x)

Sasuke Shin den spoilers

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA  ! God, Sasuke has always been a character I disliked; but at least, he never "changed". But now, he did change. He became a shojo manga heroo !! youhouuw !! 

Seriously, he's sitting under a tree while holding a sakura's petal and saying her name.... -_________- I'm more and more convinced Sakura bewitched him so he can love her.

I felt like the ending was all about Sasuke! It was crazy - Naruto's role in the story just vanished. His resolution went to Hinata, and everything else was handed to Sasuke to wrap up. It's almost like Kishimoto forgot who the story was about!

The moment Sasuke took some importance in the story, it started to be more about him and his stupid revenge than Naruto and his dreams. 

At some point, I was afraid NH would become canon (and I thought SS would NEVER EVER EVER HAPPEN ), then seeing all the NS moments and all, I was less concerned.

Then Kishi ruined everything.

 

 

Seriously? Look! I'm not defending Kishi whatsoever. It's simple. It's more or less. Either he's played Sawyer for a fool or he's really the most dumbest author in storytelling history. Just look at the previous interviews. The comic con interview is the very first time he talked and mentioned NH and HInata in a "good light" because of obvious reasons. So it's difficult to decide rather if he's telling the truth or not. I'm not so bias to have my hatred cloud my judgement at first.

I thought that was a joke from the user here. If so, really? I thought Sakura is a slave for Sasuke, so it all works well.

I thought the same first, then I listened to the interview and really said that she was a violent woman...

What I don't get is that,since he is the AUTHOR,why didn't he change the things ? Why didn't he turn Sakura into a loving and kind girl like Hinata, if he loves that kind of girls ? I just don't get it. He surely just listened to what Yahagi told him to do. 

 

All she did was stalk Naruto throughout the manga. 

Oh come on ! We all know that stalking = supporting and acknowledging someone/being by his side.

She surely did it by sending him some supporting vibes from behind her tree !           THIZ IZ TRU LUB !          

Now are you guys and girls convinced that this "ending" wasn't planned?

Since we don't know anything for sure, and since Kishi just keeps lying all the time that we never know if he's being honest or not, I guess there's at least two possible and believable options: 

-He either planned this in the middle of the story-as he said- but he's such a terrible author that he didn't even try to develop it, and instead continued to develop NS because...well banana.

-It wasn't planned at all, and now he's throwing some BS at us to make it more acceptable, which, imo, seems to be the real reason...because, I think he should have asked his wife or idk, if he wanted someone to advise him just like he did with Kushina.

I think what made me realize it was partly because, if you really look back and think about it, Hinata always supported and acknowledged Naruto, even before Master Iruka. She had the ability to see beyond his reputation and see the person inside. I think I started realizing that they were meant to be.

Okay, Hinata was actually always admiring him even before Iruka SHOWED that he truly was aknowledging him, BUT SHE NEVER SUPPORTED HIM BEFORE. She did it little bit later, but Sakura supported him sooooo much more compared to Hinakittens !
