Well it's not exactly what why expected but it was an ok chapter. This is my first impression.

So much comedy in this chapter... Even that tasteless joke about Neji's death... Nice, Kishi.

So Team Gai will be heading over to Kakashi and co.'s location... The Rikudo stuff (I found it amusing when Madara was like, "who cares") will be their trump card, I guess?

The MinaKushi flashbacks, aww. Minato was so cute!! Ugh, hopefully he'll get to protect his son this time (with a little help from his daughter-in-law).

And.. We didn't find out who the figure is. COOL. Should have known.

Was the Team Guy banter really necessary? The only significant detail that arose here was the Sage's relics coincidentally hitting them in the back. I would hope that they'd be returned to Kumogakure, but considering Tenten's reaction, it's looking more and more probable that she might take them for herself.  

 

So we didn't learn the identity of the mysterious figure this chapter after all. It's obvious that this person is Kabuto though. This chapter was essentially a build-up to the revelation that Kabuto has escaped Izanami and is now on the side of "good" (unfortunate but that's looking to be the case).

 

Is Karin actually outrunning Orochimaru, one of the three legendary Sannin? Oro may not be the most physically oriented of the three but his movement is still above average at 4.5 (the same stat as Sasuke's). Is this chapter trying to suggest that Karin is even faster than Orochimaru and Sasuke? It'll only fuel the aggressive debate about who is stronger between Karin and Sakura.

 

Black Zetsu was amazing this chapter. There must have been quite the battle raging between him and Kakashi's group; and he's still standing too. Then he pulls what's quite possibly the biggest upset in some time by getting in between Minato and Naruto so Kurama can be sealed into him. I had a strong suspicion that Minato might lose Kurama to Akatsuki. 

 

So with their only alternative method for saving Naruto having been squandered, that leaves only the possibility of Chiyo's tensei ninjutsu left to heal him. Sakura has practically no chakra left and Madara is currently standing before them with a newly acquired Yin Kurama with Black Zetsu. They're all doomed if they don't escape now.

 

Edit: It seems like Minato is capable of one-handed seals also.

After reading it, I have so much going through my mind. So many feels. I didnt want to admit it, but I figured something like this would happen to build more suspense. Madara also has to be at full power before he is defeated. There is no reason for him not to be. But dang. I really dont know how this is going to end well. My only hope is that the other tailed beasts, left their chakra inside of Naruto, in so deep that it can't be ripped out or that those were not ninja tools that madara spit out, but instead the sealing jars with biju chakra inside them. Other then that, I dont see a way to revive Naruto, other then someone pulling a Chiyo.

 

I just thought of another way, If Obito can regain control, he might be able to give the other half of the nine tails to Naruto. But that might be a bit of a stretch.

Well seeing how NS fans are notorious for seeing parallels in every character dynamic, I bet you there is probably is some of us who had the same feeling.
