#708700 The Last theory: Collection of Info & co.

Posted by Transformers03 on 18 December 2014 - 12:02 AM

I guess that's true. It's just the villain names need to be well villainy. Not too obvious way, but one works both way. I remember how one joked about a name should be changed because it's not villainy, which lead to roleplay like, "Oh no! Watch out for ____"

"Oh no! Watch out for Naruto The Last!"

Truly the most villainous name to ever think of...

Honestly I think people should be giving more criticisms to SS than NH i mean....Sasuke verbally abused her tried to kill her, left her for dead several times and flat out told her that she's crazy for liking him because he has and never will have feelings for her.....that forehead poke made everything ok though... :/

In all honesty, i may be okay with the ending if wasn't for the fact that SS happened. Not only is insulting to the characters and story of the series, but it is insulting to the concept of love in all forms. It doesn't make sense in the context of the story, nor in the context of other stories about love and forgiveness. It is horrible beyond belief, and the fact that fans wanted to happen, and praised the fact that it happen, makes me sick. That, at least to me, killed the series for me. That is when I realize this "romance" subplot was just a terrible mistake, and Kishimoto just didn't know how to do a love story at all, or even how red herrings work. Still respect Kishi for working on something for nearly fifteen years, but, seriously man, the whole SS is incredibly dumb. At least for NH it gives shy readers inspiration that they could get what they want if they actually try, yet for SS.... there is no moral.

So to answer your question, I think the reason why we don't criticize SS as often as NH is because I like to believe that most of us just force our selves to believe it did not happen. Cause it really shouldn't have.

#635669 Chapters 699+700 spoilers

Posted by Transformers03 on 05 November 2014 - 07:37 AM

dude, they were not real, you're telling me with a straight face there would be that many inconsistencies in the drawings? and that someone couldn't easily copy the last naruto the movie pics when plenty of people have?

That doesn't answer his (or her's) question, they want to know another time something like this happen and turned out to be a troll, at least at this magnitude.

Actually, I was 99% certain that NH is endgame before I joined this board a few hours ago.

You guys are doing a good job with looking at the positive (and possible explanations) sides.

Now... I got my hopes all up again.

Not sure if that is a good thing. But I had fun with this pairing. No regrets. I adore NaruSaku, canon or not.

Good for you, and don't worry about this.

In the end it is just a fictional pairing, the following day you will still wake up fine, even if your OTP doesn't become canon. Rememeber, even if it isn't the outcome you wanted, it is still just a manga.

Sasusaku forhead poke, Hinata in a black wedding dress ... I wanna die right now.

OMG!!!!!

Seriously!!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!!

What the heck is wrong with everyone on this site!!!!!! We just got a databook that has very good information in it, yet everyone is upset because of a vague spoiler and Hinata's stupid, freaking outfits!!!

Ah so your the shoot the messenger type of person, huh.

I got them from secondary sources so I can't verify. But three of the outfits are ones we have seen in other promotional works.  Seems odd that the fourth would just be paired with them for kittens and giggles.

Okay, but why didn't you tell us this when you originally posted the images?

You just left them there for us to just speculate. I apologize that it seems as if I was "shooting the messenger", but this is how false information is spread. While I do acually believe in LadyGT's word that this are legit (and they seem real), I still want verification.

Ahhh it was nice to wake up to this.....

Only to see post of people panicking over little things, like Sasuke is under Sakura's favorite (which shouldn't be a surprise), even though there is no mention of love...

Please H&E, don't change.  :P

#627613 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Posted by Transformers03 on 03 November 2014 - 08:12 AM

Think of the broad scheme of things.

And if NaruSaku doesn't happen by some sort of freak accident...in about six months tops you'll be over it.   No biggie.  Let's be more fearful of being wrong on things that are more important, not over mangas or movies.

See, that's how we should all think about.

My faith is strong because, no matter how strange it sounds, I trust my gut and I trust Kishi's manga. That's my I'mm not afraid of the movie either.

Also, my friend who studies comparative literature just told me her theory that: (and i quote)

"on-panel reiterations of Sakura’s love for Sasuke does not negate the possibility of NS endgame. This is due to several reasons.

First, Sasuke is not guaranteed to reciprocate Sakura’s feelings. Indeed, Sasuke has admitted Sakura as important; however he has never clarified the nature of this importance - not least in a romantic sense. Second, while it is true that Sakura has matured because of Sasuke, it is equally true that the consequences of her feelings have been negatively painted. Specifically, negative themes of betrayal, irrationality and impulsivity have been strongly affiliated with her love (see Kage Summit), bringing its fruitfulness to question. Third, Naruto’s feelings for Sakura have been recently foregrounded (Naruto telling Minato that his love life has taken an unexpected turn). This parallels with the previous foregrounding of Sakura’s love -rather, doubt of its reciprocation- in that the romantic futures of both characters are the same: uncertain. This, by extension, adds weight to Naruto’s love for Sakura - an aspect often dismissed by the opposition. With all of these factors in mind therefore, an NS route rather than SS is plausible. By route, I do not mean Sakura instantaneously falling in love with Naruto; rather, her slowly overcoming the negativity in her feelings for Sasuke and accepting Naruto’s feelings.

Such a route is thematically consistent with the story."

We are not are essentially worried about NS not matching of what is being told in the manga, nor how it matches with other common literature devices. It is just that the advertisement is pushing the NH angle soo hard, we are unsure if it's a troll or they being serious... While all proof points to NS, The Last promos are sort of implying otherwise.

Marketing genius or biggest bullsh**. That is the question.

Seeing how some Japanese tweeter accounts also call out the BSness of these marketing, I'm hoping it is genius...

Oh well, doesn't matter. What happens, happens.

Thank you for this link.  Nice to read it for myself.

So the article says, "Kishimoto-sensei says the manga and movie are connected..."  and based on this people are believing the movie is 100% canon?

I'm not trying to say the movie isn't going to be canon, it is just I'm with KnS and just being skeptical. Being connected doesn't really mean canon. It could just mean that, since it takes place after the manga, that it would be important for fans to actually finish the manga so that they could know what's with all the characters.

#613618 Chapter 697

So yeah....

Heaven, Earth and man's lamentation...

That can't be a coincidence, right?

#613589 The Last: Naruto the Movie: Thread 1

Posted by Transformers03 on 25 October 2014 - 05:30 AM

Thank you for your answers.

If what you're saying is true then it seems likely that the marketing team is doing exactly what they did for RTN in hopes of repeating it's success.

Well in RtN, it was about AU characters, soooo they weren't really marketing any of the real characters...

Well then again they were implicating that AU Sasuke and Hinata would have majore roles in the film, which they didn't. So they clearly were misleading audience to believe...

Well then again I never believed we got any pairing teases in the promotions, as I felt a lot of the teasing came from fans' own speculation and expectations. It's one thing to show Sakura fawning over AU Sasuke, it is an other thing to believe that it will make the film pro SS...

Well then again, I honestly believe the CD cover is the ONLY piece of advertisement that suggests NH. And what I mean about NH is that I am not including the other promotional stuff that focus on just Hinata, because they are not pairing teases at all. Hinata will seem to have a major role in the film (her sister has been capture after all), so the marketing focusing on her makes sense to me. The CD cover with Naruto and Hinata is the only thing to me that suggests anything pairing related, mostly because it is obvious meant to suggest something romantic. Though taking into consideration the plot of the movie, Hinata's role, and the current of what is going on in the manga...

Well then again that teaser trailer with the character sketches also hinted something NS, when the narrator was saying something about Sakura's womanhood and Naruto....

Well then again, the manga could end somewhat ambiguous and the movies would continue on with a more NH focus relationship, despite the current situation in the manga...

Well then again, there hasn't been any promotion focusing on Sasuke and Sakura. In fact, it doesn't even seem like Sasuke is really part of the Konoho village anymore, with him wearing a poncho and hobo clothes. So there isn't any promos about SS, and Sasuke may not even be in the village anymore, which suggest that SS...

Well then again I could be completely off base, and I am just saying things that I don't really have any real knowledge on and claim it to be fact... Just like some fans...

Why did the experienced NF translator, Takl, say that Naruto only uses "omae" with Hinata but you guys are saying that he uses it with all his peers?

Weird.

Huh? I just said it in the post you quoted....

I'm sure of it. Sorry, but even if he seems to be reliable from what I hear, he's a little (a lot) biased on that one or he made a mistake (which is possible), but he's wrong.

It is weird that a mostly reliable translator would mistranslate something like that, but then again you are the only translator currently on this forum saying that he is wrong. Though I do trust you, I just want to know how TakL could be wrong...

#587787 Chapter 693

Posted by Transformers03 on 25 September 2014 - 05:35 PM

When NS becomes canon i hope nay pray Kishi gets backlash from not just Nh and SS fans but NS fans as well I want this to be worse than what happened in LOI I want him to actually realize how much he f**cked up.

Really Pepsi?

Yes let us blacklash a man for writing and drawing a weekly manga for nearly all his adult life because he screwed up on how I personally view what a fictional pairing should be like. Despite that fact that he also has to take care a family, and has been shown to be a very dedicated worker.

I am saying this not because the manga shouldn't be criticize (everyone has the right to criticize something they don't like), however wont stand personally attacks to a author. I doubt he would care, but don't make his life harder than it probably already is.

#587693 Chapter 693

Posted by Transformers03 on 25 September 2014 - 05:03 PM

Wow I've never cried before nor have I ever been this depressed oh god.

Oh my god, really?

Huh........

Despite the fact that this chapter has yet again reiterated that Sasuke's feelings for Sakura are not romantic, and has yet portrayed their relationship as negative, you are still losing faith.

Besides if NS doesn't happen, if for some reason that SS somehow pulls out in the end, they I would just repeat what I said in my earlier post: So what? Don't get me wrong, I would get mad and upset as well, but cry about it? Really? It's a fictional story with fictional characters that have no real barring on our own lives. They have no wills of their own, and frankly it isn't anything to cry about.

This is truly ridiculous.
