I highly doubt Karin is planning to betray Konoha after what Sasuke did to her not to mention what she said at 485 that she's done with him. She's very well aware that if it wasn't for Sakura to arrived at the nick of time she would have been killed by Sasuke. Right now her best bet to survive is helping Konoha she knows if she leaves the village the chances of her getting hunt down by ANBU or even Sasuke and Madara are very high, she's not stupid.

do we know what illage she was in beofre she became a jailer?

She did didn't you remember back at 482??? it was shown that she's from hidden grass village the symbol on her headband is the grass design.

Isn't she from Sound? Anyway, I don't think this was a typical interrogation, I mean it looked more like a questioning because of the setting. Ibuki didn't even look like he was trying to be all intimidating towards Karin, just annoyed.

Odd. I was walking home and I was actually thinking of a worst-case scenario that could never happen and having no basis in fact: Karin having been planted in Konoha purposefully by Sasuke or something. I'm ashamed for even having a passing thought about it.

But your reasoning is most sensible =D I mean, like you said, she's not stupid, and she's the one who made the decision to be done with Sasuke knowing how he'd changed.

I doubt it, he was gonna put her out of her misery and had no idea Sakura, Kakashi, and Naruto was headed his way.

Ok, just to let you know, the point of an interrogation is to have the questions that you have answered. It's just torture can be a part of the process. I mean, if two minutes into the questioning she completely spills her guts then there is no point of resorting to torture, because you have all the information you wanted answered. But yeah the root of interrogation is questioning. If you don't get the answers you want then, depending on the agency doing the questions, you can take it up a notch. So to speak...

So what I'm getting to is, interrogation is questioning.
