On her blog, when reviewing the episode that covered 632, when Sasuke saved Sakura, she called Sakura a "selfish girl" for calling out Sasuke's name like that.

Do you guys think we'll get anything from Kishi admitting he did this for the movie and Part 3, and that it's not how he intended it? I mean, there's no way after all the foreshadowing, development, and hinting, that we don't get a single moment between Naruto and Sakura, and instead get her fangirling over the traitor.

Also the good side of this to me is that it's over and now I'll be able to enjoy the series without having in mind "will my OTP be canon?" I know the ending so I'll fully enjoy the manga without worrying over anything. 

I don't know, maybe I'm too positive but I'm more relieved than disappointed.

This is what happens when you sell yourself to popularity demand. Kishimoto's convinced him to change the pairing to NH SS because of its huge popularity (I'm certain Kishi originally wanted NS). But this isn't the first time something like this happens before. 

 

Akira Toriyama originally intended to end DBZ after the Frieza arc but the huge popularity demand forced him to continue the series.

So that's it I guess. Naruto ends in the absolute worst way possible, with him ending up with Hinata and Sakura ending up with Sasuke. This is like a bad Doujinshi turned canon. Fifteen years worth of building up the NaruSaku relationship all dashed away in just two chapters at the end. Having Sakura revert back her fangirl self is truly pathetic. I spent all that time defending her only to have it be revealed to me that I'm wrong and she never did grow out of her love for Sasuke. Speaking of him all he has to do is say "Sorry for all the things that I did" to Sakura and they automatically get together? He never had feelings for anyone or anything up until then. Perhaps the biggest betrayal of all is that Neji got screwed over and died for nothing except for NaruHina to become canon. Knowing all this now, I wish I had never become a fan of this idiotic manga. I really hope Kishimoto reaps what he sows with this. With this he pretty much told all the young girls that read his manga "remember girls, no matter how much of a jerk the guy is, keep loving him even if he tried to kill you several times. He'll come around." Kishimoto will go down IMO as one of the worst writers in all of manga and it wouldn't surprise me if literature students/teachers have a field day on this manga in the future as an example of how not to write a story. Kishimoto, I hope you never write another manga ever again, except I know you are because Part 3 has already been confirmed but I hope everything you work on gets killed in the sales charts. In fact, the last movie seems almost interesting just to see how he tries to validate these train wrecks of pairings known as NaruHina and SasuSaku. I wish I could get all the money and time I spent on this series back.

I felt stupid too but Kishi is only hurting himself in the end. The ending is stupid. Naruto using a laptop. People looking like Cyclops. What's next? Flying cars like DBZ? Let out your anger and rage, then you will feel better.

The king of trolls strikes again, can't say I'm really too surprised cuz when you look at the body work of part 2 Naruto from start to finish it is completely disconnected from part 1. The main characters have been completely unrelatable on a number of different levels starting with Naruto (his sick obsession with Sasuke). The more I think about it, the main theme of this manga is OBSESSION, not bonds, friendships, trust, loyalty, etc.

 

Despite dropping NUMEROUS hints, foreshadowing, and paralllels that NaruSaku would be the end pairing all of the development was flushed down the toilet and completely ignored in the end. Sakura was made to look unbelievably pathetic with no self esteem, regard or respect for herself. What it comes down to is Kishi is ultimately a mentally disturbed individual who seems to not care about TRUE connections, feelings, or consequences.

 

Nothing in this story has made an iota of sense since the beginning (part 2) - Ex. Naruto coming back training with Jiraiya only to have learned nothing, his sick obsession with Sasuke and calling him his friend even though he tried to kill him multiple times, Sakura continuing to hold romantic feelings for Sasuke despite almost being killed by him multiple times, Sasuke going kitten crazy only to turn sane again in a snap, etc.

 

In the end, a kitten ending to a kitten story - congratualtions Kishi you are now an advocate for ABUSIVE relationships where no matter what the guy puts the girl through in the end she will "take him" no matter what. Although it doesn't make much sense I can at least stomach Naruhina (even thought Naruto was confirmed to love Sakura and never got to confess) but Sasusaku becoming canon is morally reprehensible and disgusting in a way MANY people can comprehend but apparently it didn't matter. This is my last rant and my last post at these forums. It's been a pleasure spending time with you guys over the years (especially the naruto forums narusaku fanclub) but it's time to move on and find something better and more enjoyable than the trash that this manga slowly turned into.

 

Take care everyone and remember that it's just fiction, no matter how poorly executed it was we all know the truth - a sane person would not have ignored years of development and thrown it to the way side. Kishi sold out plain and simple, it sucks but that's the way the world works.
