I'm not sure I understand the question.
Are you asking why members are being asked to vote on keywords?
It's a gimmick.
It allows the members, including those that don't plan on writing or drawing anything themselves, to be involved in the contest and help shape it.

Haha...this is gonna be fun, I love the Holidays, and I love writing things about the holidays. Unlike last time when I said I would enter something...than didn't finish it...I will actually write up something good. I cannot wait to get started

I'm just happy seeing new entries, regardless of how they turn up.
It'll be pretty exhausting to individually cheer on every potential participant. But if anyone is thinking about entering and needs some extra encouragement, just say the word. B)
