[Bail o' Lies]

So villain finally arrived fights old man samurai who guard the old princess; his armor is a bird; Garuda is what it is called as short hand to tell everyone how powerful it is.

 

The cat tells us that he knows this old man from long ago, and while reminiscing says it would be nice to see him again...So he is already defeated as well as the space station, and i think his old princess is dead as well.

 

The father senses this and rushes off to protect Hachi, and the villain scans for him him.

 

Dad comes reveals Hachi's lie. Villain comes his name is apparently Ata, and the father's name is professor Furuta.

also there is something about the villain calling hachimaru hachikaku. maybe his name was that originally i'm not sure. the father didn't sense any danger but this whole story he has been over guarding of hachimaru because of how he used to need protection but now he is a samurai and can walk without assistance (or fly). the story seems to be paced a little strangely it might be because kishi is doing the story and the art is done separately but not sure. what actually happened is that the father activates a tracker he put in hachimaru's cane and he flew to hachimaru because he doesn't like hachimaru's sensei and wants hachimaru for himself (not because he thinks hachimaru is in danger or needs protecting). then the villain shows up around the same time coincidentally. I also thought the armored bird looked kind of silly

I wasn't going to put that into the summary till they explained what that is, as far as I was concern it was probably the father real name that or its this "eight key."

 

When kishi was doing Naruto he was told by yahagi to rush to the tournament arc despite wanting to do some more build up. Looking back he should have, and I imagine people talking about the problems of Naruto may mention it. So for both Boruto and Hachi kishi wants them to take a slow time in introducing the story so he doesn't run out of story and obsess over one thing like in Naruto or editor decided the ending for him.

 

Problem with this is that Boruto is monthly and it moves too slow for it also they pretty much wasted the first fifteen months.

 

Here, its not a problem; yet. I rather they explain anything about this world more because their are still bit where I have to just read shrug and go well those are words that were put together that may make sense in that world.

 

This manga is helping to suss out which ideas were kishi and which were the other two clowns in Boruto.

So turns out Ata was Daruma's best student -before he went crazy- that decided to dedicate himself to fulfilling the wishes of the school; out of loyalty to his teacher. Obtain the keys to the box. Turns out Hachi is the "eight key." Also I think the cat's princess die maybe was even killed by him.

 

Hachi thinking him as a sempai tries chatting with him, and mentioning he want to be a great samurai like some famous person in the story. This sets Ata off. So he lectures Hachi about how boasting does not make you brave and is instead a cowardly thing to do because you hiding you indicates behind your big dream. Since did that lie thing earlier and has been doing nothing but bragging this unnerves him.

 

Ana and his father block Ata from attacking him. Ata continues his lecture that Samurai are not immortal since they have to die in order to be come samurai and therefor rely on the blessing of the god of war to survive.

 

Then he attacks but the father installed within himself a device that can absorb that powers of a samurai. Explosion. They both live.

Funny how quickly things progress with them. But I suppose that is attributed to no "Sasuke" like rival and Ann is not crush blushing around him. She IS doing that around Hachimaru when he's not looking though from what I see. Agin just keeping it in mind but not really convincing me to give it a try. But I'll see when the story progresses more

this chapter was basically just the part in the leaf village invasion where the third hokage confronts orochimaru and fights him and is forced to use the reaper death seal. the only difference is that instead of ata's mentor trying to kill him it's hachi's father and the father survives when his device fails and only takes the arm of ata (like orochimaru when he lost his arm to the seal but the third hokage lost his life anyway)

Well it doesn't surprise me that he would protect them we will have to see what happens next. If the dad died that would be even more like the third hokage death

Gonna be running a little busy today so my live reaction/review on the latest chapter will be up tonight rather than early morning as it usually has been!

You know....it is hard to want to be invested because I am so afraid of this becoming Naruto 3.0 (Boruto is Naruto 2.0.)

You can have likable characters and in the beginning he can do a lot of things right and have great story elements, but he could just ruin it all by then making dumb choices and screwing it all up.

This one...I am going to wait for the series to finish and then have one of you to tell me whether or not the ending was worth it.

Criteria that needs to be filled for this to be good and to trust him.
1.) The pairings, if are any, make sense or well developed.
2.) Character development is NOT abandoned or retconned into existence/non-existence.
3.) Do the characters actually do anything meaningful and not just talk out their ass.
4.) Are the villains actually cleaver and not just "I have hax powers."

I was gonna live react to chapters 13 and 14, but last couple weeks were hectic on my end work wise, so I'll just say in 14 chapters Kishi's done a pretty decent job in the story side of the things for Hachimaru, and pops is no more RIP.

First major death in the series, sorry forgot to read the chapter last week.

 

So it seems he main characters are:

Hachi

The Princess 

The Cat

The Bodyguard

The Dog that sounds like a cat.

also does the princess future self look like Hinata in the back or is it just me
