So...

It wasn't completely filler. They just decided to extend Itachi's explanation and actually show something from the battle where the Izanami was first used. It was actually kind of neat. The fact that the Izanami user was a woman was also pretty cool, since we haven't seen a female uchiha fight.

Least this was an episode to clear up the confusion some may have had over itachis fight with kabuto. Now I'd prefer an episode like this, though filler, it doesn't hurt when its an episode just adding a bit more history, better this than say, extend a simple moment like Hinata facing Pain, and rather than keep it in such short panels, they decided to extend the scene greatly, make her do a small deal on pain, and they inject roughly 60% of the episode with flashback filller material which could have almost made it seem worthy of canon.

 

Heres hoping that they keep the stuff with 615 short and simple, we don't need another outrageously long flashback sequence of Hinata trying for Naruto's attention, rather it would be better to focus on the important thing, the loss of neji. Seriously if the anime team goes overboard again then its just another flareup of hype for NH fans despite the filler not mattering.

Didnt kishi if i remember only males could awaken the sharingan?

 

Uchiha is like the sayian race but with a difference, the more emo an uchiha become more stronger he gets.

I.... wouldn't go that far. the only inconsistency is that they make it seem like the Mangekyo is more common than it's supposed to be, I recall that in total there are only five to awaken it in the clan's history, counting Madara ' brother, and Kakashi though' he's not part of Uchiha. It was never stated women never awoke the sharingan, Kishi just never drew any. BTW you should use a spoiler tag for that comment
