I think even Hanami would wonder what's the matter with Boruto as we said Hanami is a mix of her mother and her dad.

This...has nothing to do with this topic but I was so confused up to this point why everyone kept saying "kitten this" an "kitten that". Like...why are you randomly bringing a kitten into this? But...I get it now.  :lmao:

I guess in order to contribute, I don't really know much about Burrito because I haven't watched anything Burrito and Salad related since Naruto ended. Generally, all I know is that he doesn't have the best relationship with his dad and wants attention from him so he keeps pulling pranks on the statue of the kages correct? Going by that, I think Shina might be a little confused by this at first because he actually has a good relationship with his parents (on top of that if he ever tried anything like this the tongue lashing he would get from his mother....not worth the risk). It might also be to the point where he might be a little offended by how brazen Burrito is but, since he's his mother's son and I imagine his dad would have told him stories about his own antics, he might put those feelings aside and develop a good relationship with Burrito if the other allows him to. He might also be weirded out that his parents married different people but, since it's an au to his world, he might come to just be okay with that as well.

As for Burrito, he might be a little envious of the good relationship Shina has with his parents but, assuming he has a better relationship with his mom than father and doesn't find her uncool (also if he has her kindness), he might just take the time to learn about Shina's world. I could see both getting along tbh. But...it would definitely not start off well. However, like I said before, I haven't watched/read anything Burrito related.

Naruto of Shina's world is not like Naruto of Burrito's world. Shina could not become like Burrito because of that. That's not to say Shina's Naruto isn't busy, but he certainly isn't avoiding going home, coming home drunk, or sending clones home in his place. We all interpret it the opposite actually. Naruto would gladly leave a clone at his desk to spend time with his family over work. Sakura the more reasonable adult makes sure he doesn't skip out on real work too often and balances home and work life.

This is why Shina and Burrito are so different in the first place, other than being two different characters that is. Shina could not personally relate to Burrito's situation because the relationship between his parents is different and Naruto isn't a borderline absentee father.

I imagined that, even if he can't relate to Borutos' issues, he would offer him his support as a sort of "older brother" figure, because he inherited Narutos' ability to understand complex emotions.

"We live in a world that is so quick to convince us to ignore our feelings. Feeling stressed? Get a massage. Feeling angry? Go to the bar with your friends and blow off steam. Feeling lonely? Meet someone in cyberspace and have a conversation on the computer. Depressed? Take a pill. Anxiety? Take 2 pills. Feeling happy? Well, by George, don’t talk about that because no one likes a bragger. Same with being sad, no one likes a Debbie Downer. But, heaven FORBID, that you actually TALK about your feelings and process them in a healthy way."

Of course. Not being able to relate doesn't mean you can't understand or sympathize.

Key point being the differences between their fathers give them different perspectives of them. As others mentioned, Shina would probably pity Burrito a little bit given their family situation compared to his own.

When I think about the entire scenario, I kind of feel like Shina wouldn't want to be involved in the "other" family at all.

I watched Boruto. I can see Shinachiku getting along with him just fine. They won't see each other's shoes, however, and that could cause some tension. But overall, from what I've seen, despite opposite personalities, there are some picks here and there that would mesh well together if they do meet. They wouldn't be the best of friends, but I can easily see a wholehearted relationship.

You don't need to relate to another's situation to become good friends (not best friends, mind you). I always see Shina as curious; I doubt he's the type to not be involved in alt. reality with Boruto. It's not his universe would change in any way.

This is an unpopular opinion I guess, considering you have to acknowledge canon and pairings. But after reading a couple of decent Shina\Boruto universe fics, and reading some nice headcanons, I ended up liking it. It mainly has a lot to do with the lack of Shina in the ninja universe. I guess because the characters are much more established. Like, I really do like Sarada, Cho Cho, and Mitsuki. Luckily, I manage to find others who think the same way.

Same, they'd genuinely be friends, in my opinion. Definitely with some fierce arguments of course. :)

I see Shinachku being smart, but unlike Bolt, doesn't take shortcuts. Maybe with a slightly dirty sense of humor, fitting and toned down to whatever age he was. Wiser than his father, but earnest to succeed, with a temper that flared up when things didn't go well.

I can't see Shina with a dirty sense of humor at all, haha. But I do agree that he would work his way towards his goals and not do shortcuts. I always views Shina with a mixture Minato and Ten Ten's personalities.

Shinachiku already has a cross universe friendship with someone. Tomoe, the daughter of Sasuke and Naruto. Tomoe's family is a lot like his own family (meaning, not much conflict or very little of it, generally happy and warm). Tomoe ended up in Shina's world by mistake as the power of her sharingan allows her to cross into different universes.

Thus far in this relationship, Shinachiku is not nosy about Tomoe's world or her parents. They see their dads as two completely different people despite how similar they can be. They see their worlds as two completely different places.

There has been situations where one of them is down because of stuff going on in their families, but it's never a situation where they think the solution is to involve themselves heavily in the affairs of another world. They give each other advice and cheer each other up. Shina and Tomoe do not feel jealousy about each other's family since both families are generally in a good place (and again, they can see them as separate people).

Based on what I've seen of Burrito (which is little, I admit), I can't picture him reacting like Shina and Tomoe. I can see Burrito becoming jealous or being negative towards Shinachiku. He seems like that kind of character. Another point to make is Burrito seems very mischievous in a bad way. Shinachiku does like pranks from time to time, but he isn't out to make his life or the life of others more difficult. Based on what I've seen of Burrito, I don't think Shinachiku would enjoy being around him for an extended amount of time. Never mind all the family drama. I truly believe they would be acquaintances at most and certainly no antagonism. Or at least, not from Shina's side.

I insist Shina would not want to get involved because I believe Shina would not like Burrito's dad. If Shina sees Tomoe's dad as a different person in a positive way, then Burrito's dad is a stranger in a negative way.
