I just checked ANN, and it looks like there will be a new opening and ending starting on episode 231.

#10: "Newsong" by tacica (eps 231-)

#19: "Place to Try" by TOTALFAT (eps 231-)

Not sure if we'll be back on manga course by then, though.

Yay new OP and ED! Would prefer if its based on canon stuff, but just a new OP would be nice (it feels like we've had this current opening for a long time now, for some reason).

Ep. 231 - "The Closed Sea Route"

Well, 229 and 230 are filler for sure, but "The Closed Sea Route" could go either way, or it could be the last episode of filler. Either way, it's possible that the fillers will end there (perhaps have 231 end with finally reaching the island and returning to canon material).

I would LOVE to have Kushina and Minato in this opening! Dark Naruto too! Those are the two things that I'm most looking forward to seeing animated!!

Ah that's good. TBH I was getting kind of sick of the present opening/ending.

Anybody have the lyrics to those songs or know what they're about?
I hope they'll have some NS moments probably not.

I was only sick of it because I thought it might indicate Naruto and Sakura's relationship but nothing and of course those Hinataphiles at Pierrot put her in the current ending........ FOR NO REASON

Yay, a new OP/ED set! I haven't watched the anime since that filler episode with Sakura in it, but I might start again just to see the new set. I usually like to just skip long filler arcs, and then watch the whole thing later when I'm bored enough. I did that with a lot of Part I filler episodes, and it made a lot of them surprisingly bearable.
I don't mind the current ED, but I'm getting a little tired of the OP. It's a catchy song, but it's a little too fast-paced for me. Plus the whole Sakura crying with Sasuke in the background gives me a Sasu/Saku vibe.

I hope they'll have some NS moments probably not.

I guess it could have something. The last OP had a cute scene with Sakura supporting Naruto before anyone else (even Kakashi), and two ED's ago was that awesome one with Sakura drawing a picture of Naruto in the shower. But I guess I'm not gonna get my hopes up, I feel like with everything that happened in the Iron Country Arc, the anime team's gonna steer clear of shipping stuff for a while. It'd be nice if I'm wrong though (assuming it's N/S fan-service they throw in the OP/ED of course ).

It'd be nice if 231 was the end of the filler. It's pretty hard to gauge the lengths of these filler arcs in Naruto Shippuden. The Sanbi Arc dragged on for 24 episodes while the Rokubi Arc only lasted 8. Episode 231 will be the ninth episode in this arc (if you can even call it an arc, all the episodes seem auto-conclusive), so hopefully this one will be on the short end. At the very least, if it goes on for a while, I hope they break canon and introduce Bee a little earlier. I'd like to see more of him and Naruto interacting, even if it's only filler.

Oh yeah, there's a few things I'm looking forward to seeing animated. Dark Naruto, Kisame's fight with Guy, Kisame's past, and, of course, Kushina's flashback.
I'm still crossing my fingers for a Minato/Kushina gaiden!

Oh, boy. At least two more fillers. I think it's possible 231 won't be a filler episode because the OP/ED change. Why would they put new ones for another filler...

On the upside, from Ep. 231, we might see some war preparations going on at the Alliance HQ. It may likely take up half or quarter of the episode (fingers crossed!!) the preparations will likely focus on the appointment of the Generals, specifically. It would be nice to see

Kitsuchi being introduced for example, the formation of each of the divisions (or maybe just the specialist/support divisions) etc....

Although, from the looks of it, we may have just Shikamaru being appointed as the Gaara's proxy, that's all.

Well, as Boom Winning said, all of these episodes seem auto conclusive. It's still possible that Naruto's group will reach the (correct) island at the very end of the episode, setting us up to go back into cannon material the next episode. It actually sounds very similar to when Sakura and the girls met up with Naruto on that random island for the first filler episode, and by the end both groups were on their own separate ways.

It's possible that we'll still be stuck in fillers afterwards, but it's still just as possible that this could be the last filler as well.

No, but you can add long overbearing flashbacks during the war battles.

Well, I wouldn't mind. As long as it's done right. Not unlike that catastrophe in the Kage Summit arc. Some of the flashbacks could be potentially done well. Like Bee and Ei's flashback for example.

^^ It felt like it took a day to get there, because it took only one chapter to get there. In the anime, its taken like 5-10 episodes to get there.

and i thought it was a motor boat????? im sure it was in the manga, even OP 9 shows a metal boat that hes on.
