Also if you consider "heroine" in terms of a woman who gets enough spotlight and is the most probable love interest, than Orihime is the heroine of Bleach unfortunately. Despite all the misleading. Because Rukia happens to be a buddy.

I wanna read THAT ! It seems to be waaaaaaaaay better than Kishi's ending! You were right too to erase Kaguya's part

Share a link to this story?

I wrote it 70% in Russian, 30% in English (in a mix).  :woot:  I just don't like how  some of russian expressions sound, I prefer English versions. Well, anyway, it is in a mess of unconnected parts that describe various parts of story, various points on the timeline to overall create the feeling of finished lifetime. It was intended only for my eyes as a form of coping. But thank you a lot for showing interest! :thanks:

...
....
......this is perfect

Thank you :thanks:  I've mutilated so many stories before, but it has never been as hard as it was with Naruto. I was always going to rewrite the ending to fit my preferences even when I was sure Kishi would make NS canon (because I never trusted him to make it good).... But now it took me a LOT of self-persuasion to go so HARD against canon, even if this canon is ridiculous. Preserving canon in form of genjutsu was my answer. But this first step kind of broke me and set me on the path of rewriting everything. There was even a moment when I considered making Naruto's hair copper-color, because I love how it looks. :woot:  I persuaded myself not to do that in the end.

I don't understand why I keep coming back here. I only get hurt again and again. I don't want to miss some good news (cough SP bankruptcy cough) but it's not like there were any good news ever since 699.

I've already finished my version of the ending, description of Konoha's future under Naruto's command, put the groundwork of the major missions he had to partake before he became Hokage, and even went back to rewrite some parts of the story that I thought were weak. For example, I rewrote Edo Tensei spell (such bullsh** should not exist), all the stuff with afterlife souls (I don't believe in such afterlife) except for Minato and Kushina appearances (that was chakra prints, not souls) and even changed some major stuff like the amount of time Team 7 spent together before Sasuke deserted (extended it for another year to strengthen the bonds in a realistic fashion). Oh, I also deleted Kaguys, just prolonged Madara's fight by adding some of her powers to his eyes.

Naruto and Sakura also spent much more time as the new Team 7 after Naruto's return to Konoha (Part 2), going on some badass missions and developing their skills in a non-asspulled way. Of course they all ended up being older by the end of Shinobi War (about 19). I am also planning to rewrite the war to make it a bit less emotions-oriented, more battle strategy and non-Dragonball action.

I've also made Sakura go on a big trip with Tsunade after she stepped down as Hokage. It happened several months after Sasuke left the village to seek redemption (with Team Taka). I thought that Sakura had an amazing experience during the war that made her discover her own Will of Fire. She felt that the world was capable of change and that she could be the one to participate in changing it. She saw the world in the faces of shinobi that gathered in the alliance and understood how little she knew about it. She also felt emotionally exhausted because she devoted herself to Sasuke for so long and now she didn't have to channel her feelings to him anymore, she was finally free to move on. She needed to change. So she accepted Tsunade's invitation to accompany her in her journey. They were gone from Konoha for year and a half and they visited Shikkotsu forest and different countries, where Sakura studied various traditions of medicine practice. She also studied the political problems of the world first hand to be the best advisor for Naruto.

She also bumped into Sasuke on her way and they were able to travel together for a short time. They had some actual positive interactions that made Sakura realize that she managed to move on, that her heart has healed and that they finally became friends in a true sense of the word.

She returned to Konoha a grown up woman and Naruto waited her return all this time while being the main assistant of the current Hokage and learning how to rule the village. Sasuke also returned to the village to become the head of ANBU. Somehow, despite being apart for so long and pursuing such different paths, Sakura, Naruto and Sasuke ended up being even closer than they were before. Their discoveries nurtured each other's visions of the future.

Of course Sakura went ahead to study Shizune's scientific techniques in order to finally reach the spot of the head medic of the village. She didn't take the spot officially, however, because she decided to dedicate another ten years of her life to accompany Kakashi, Naruto and Sasuke in their political missions.

In her confession to Naruto she said: "I want to see the world that you will create and I want to see you, who will be created by this world."

I also incorporated THE LAST story into my story, but made it a genjutsu. Hinata was actually kidnapped and put into a very sophisticated genjutsu that showed her everything from THE LAST, fulfilling her wishes to be like Sakura and to get Naruto. She even saw their family life together and their kids. After she was rescued and brought out of the genjutsu, she was devastated and didn't want to believe that this world was the reality (something like Cobb's wife in Inception). She even begged Naruto to remember what they had and to return to reality with her. Naruto was surprised to discover the volume of her feelings, because he didn't remember her confession during fight with pain due to shock and stress. He addressed her feelings softly. Overall Hinata got her resolution and some medical treatment, she emerged from this experience a much more matured woman and she went ahead to pursue her other goals in life.

Naruto and Sakura had their Shinachiku the year after Naruto was made Hokage, which was when they were around 32.

Well, this all might sound ridiculous (like deleting Edo Tensei - what's up with that!), but I just don't feel any reasons to stop after Kishi disrespected his own work and abandoned all the development. Now I look at Naruto as just a pile of nice material to build my own story that I will actually enjoy.

What pisses me off is that this movie was advertised to fill the blank period and give answers. It just was made on the sole purpose to make naruhina believable and it DIDNT. It worsened it.
What were they expecting? That fans would love something like this?
NH was less credible before now it's even worse.
We can all see that them paired up doesn't make sense.

I'm just glad we are not the only one who think this.

Yes. I think I moved on from the pain after reading Junko's interview where she said that NH took her by surprise, that there was nothing leading to it. If Naruto's actress thought so, it HAD to be true, since she was presented with all the material, canon or not, that was ever produced. I read her interview and felt free from the confusion and self-doubt. Nothing hurts me any more, I could even watch the movie someday. Japanese reactions on Yahoo are just topping on the cake.

Unfortunately I think that if Kishi ever made another movie or short manga story aimed at making fans a bit happier, he would not change the romantic outcome or at least make it go to the point zero (open ending). He would focus on Team 7, we would get more Sakura screentime, we would see Taka and rookies play a bigger role, but romance? I imagine Kishi would stay even further from it than he was in the manga. Further than ever. He could even keep Hinata as Naruto's life choice, just never mention it loudly. After all all the rage I read in japanese comments seems to be directed at many things BUT the love choice per se. Yes, they don't understand why Hinata became so important and why she is portrayed as Naruto's main supporter and most important person, but they don't say things like "He should have ended with Sakura". They don't like how Naruto and Sakura's relationship was resolved, but they are not pushing Sakura into Naruto's lover role. With such an enormous ammount of rage directed towards the choice to make the movie about romance, I have the feeling Kishi would decide to stay away from any romance in an alternative ending (like the authors of Legend of Korra decided to abandon Korra x Mako x Asami after fandom's outburst of hate).

Please correct me, because I am reading Google translate and I don't red 2ch - I could miss something.

I would take Team 7 alternative ending any day over the crap we have now, but I wouldn't hope for canon NS even if an alternative was ever announced.

It would also be a smart choice not to declare NH void and not put NS forward, because Kishi and SP would risk loosing the last part of devoted fandom while not pleasing the hurt one enough.

Just like that I AM happy that japanese reactions are confirming that we read the manga right and that we are more than just ship-biased, but at the same time a see that we are not winning as NS much.

The fact there is still so much hope, even if it is wavering and barely-present in some people, after ALL that has been done to us, is an IMMENSE proof of how logical and developed NS was. It is almost impossible to come to terms with such a mess that happened.

These past three or so weeks I've been desperately trying to understand why NH and SS are so overwhelmingly popular, but I failed. I know that they are mostly very young and that Sasuke is hot and Hinata has boobs, but still... i just can't.

Kishi's words didn't hurt me even. I feel like there is a very big operation going on to destroy a huge pillar that NS is. It is targeting every string, every point of reasoning, every thought, every scene we hold dear. Every ridiculous thing that has been thrown at us by NH SS fandoms comes flying from official media and Kishi. It contradicts everything, but they have power and numbers and they are winning.

It is obvious to me that Jump and SP just made a solid decision to support ONE side of the conflict and they are going to level us to the ground. This is not just general support to particular fandom, but one directed attack with tanks and nuclear weapons. They won't stop until there is nothing for us to stand on, until there isn't a single argument we can hold on to. And they don't care that they are fighting against the truth and logic. They have power to make all our nightmares come true.

Just now I ordered three tea cups with NaruSaku moments printed on two of them (several of Naruto and Sakura smiles, Sakura and Sasuke reflected in Naruto's eye, after Pein hug and some more) and NaruSaku adult family printed on the last one. Maybe I will need one more that shows Sakura's best kunoichi moments or her 19 years old pretty self (in a badass kunoichi moment), but overall I think I can cope.

I will drink from these cups for years untill I won't even remember that some other ending existed.

I REALLY wanted to make a cup out of this one:

wt7x4z.jpg

but it has 700th chapter mentioned on it  , I don't want to remember it.

Thank you for your hard work, Chatte. This was a beautiful theory.

To me it was a great manifesto of why NS was meant to happen and was the most developed and foreshadowed pairing. We all have what lies on the surface, not even NH and SS can deny it, but you complete it with all those insights of yours that see symbolism and parallels in the author's work.

My honest thoughts

Thank you so much Chatte, I longed for the last NS confirmation, I longed for the feeling of being just in my perception of pairings. Your theory was needed.

EDIT: I missed your last post, because I was writing this one, but of course I understand that you had to shorten this theory and that you intentionally left some space.

I agree. I can find solace in the fact that NaruHina required a movie to justify its existence. Naruto and Hinata only had 15 interactions throughout the entire manga (more in Part 1 than Part 2)! The hell with quality over quantity- I hate hearing from NaruHina fans this stupid explanation. NaruSaku does not need some kind of fictional movie garbage to explain why it makes sense.

NH don't have quality over quantity. All their scenes are disturbing. Hinata's confession sounded self-centric and put the whole village in danger. Hand holding scene showed Hinata thinking about Naruto's hands when her cousin just died. Naruto saving her from transformed White Zetsus was ok, but he didn't even smile and had to cheer her up because she was feeling weak even though it made her look even more weak. Sorry I can't remember any more scenes in Part 2.

Its not just that they had also filers where Sakura------------> Naruto  for NS  it was almost always mutual  but it never was the case for NH it was always Hinata  I think that Naruto SD the anime shows this perfectly this Hinata "love"  . But yes what they are doing is insane all we get from this marketing is Hinata Hinata  Hinata  Hinata  Hinata  Hinata  x ∞  its insane what they are doing in here  they are literary altering the whole manga its disgusting  .

By making Naruto still NOT in love with Hinata at the beginning of the movie they technically nullify the ounces of development NH had in manga. They confirm that neither confession nor Neiji related speech touched Naruto's heart at the time. This makes NH even more bound by the movie's 110 footage since all mutual interactions certainly happen in this timeframe, they confirm it by the plot itself. And that is just pathetic.

Anyway, guys. I have finally found some insolence to ask my distant friend, who lives in Japan, about this picture. And she said that this is Life, but it is more of a spiritual or fated Life, very close to Fate, because there is another symbol for "physical Life" - 生

I say - YAY! :th_yeah:

I was actually surprised when I watched episode 235, with Naruto saying that he love a girl (with Sakura in the background) and a parallel to Jiraya with Tsunade that was saying the same thing as Naruto ( that was so damn sweet, I actually cried, a filler no less).

I don't think that they hate NaruSaku because I don't think they would have done these kinds of fillers and others stuff relating Naruto and Sakura but they are really too much Hinata fanboys that's for sure  :glare:

Exactly! I've been thinking the same thing! By making Naruto make this statement about loving Sakura and being the happiest if she chooses him and THEN paralleling it all to Jiraya (who NEVER gave up even though Tsunade actually had a happy relationship with Dan) they seemed to push themselves into a corner. After all there is a big part of the fandom that doesn't read manga - they base their perceptions on anime alone. They will be even more surprised than us by the sudden NH ending. Because they will have an even bigger confirmation in their pocket that Naruto will never be happy without Sakura, that he never intended to ever give up. What were they thinking!!

Why do you keeping making excuses for sasuke?

There are people in this world who have been dealt a worse blow than sasuke and they don't go around starting wars or trying to kill women.

You always have a choice.

Sorry.

I am not making excuses for Sasuke. At least I don't see it like that. But I am trying to understand him instead of staring at him in disbelief. I am trying to find sense in what Kishi does, because it is an honest way to work with the piece of literature.

It is like saying that if you're depressed just snap out of it. Some forms of depression can only be treated my medicine, because they have origins in brain functioning. You don't always have a choice.

I'm not sure there are worse situations than seeing your whole family and clan butchered before your eyes by your own brother when you are a little kid, but ok. What if I tell you that some people can be seriously traumatized by seeing a dog being killed by a car or a person jumping off the bridge when there is nothing they can do? There are no situations bad enough or not bad enough.

Yeah, if we could please end this discussion, I would be glad.

#664338 The Last: Naruto the Movie: Thread 2 aka The Last retcon: Hinata-sama the movie

Posted by Alessa on 18 November 2014 - 12:31 PM

Hey, just a thought, would you guys jump ship if NH was properly done/justified in the movie? Or if NS got closure? (Those who are watching it anyway.)

I would love to hear your opinions.

Good question.

Ok, let's imagine that 110 minutes minus neutral footage could overshadow 700 chapters of development by drawing some overwhelmingly deep romantic scenes, showing Naruto genuinely falling for Hinata because of her brave and kind actions. (the worst scenario for me as NS shipper to he honest)

Would it kill the fact that NS was still present in the manga, that Naruto was in love with Sakura for 7 or smth years, that she was his first love and that they developed a deep and beautiful bond that could end up in a relationship? They are precious to each other to the point where even spouses could possibly not be more important than that bond. I still remember the scene in manga, when Naruto was in genjutsu and Sakura appeared from his stomach, representing how she gives him life force. Or that other scene, when Sakura and Sasuke reflected in his eyes. I knew at that moment that Sakura will always be precious to Naruto no matter how their relationship progresses.

10qkrbc.png

Thankfully we, NS shippers, will always have this if the movie stays on the ground of believability. We will always have ENOUGH to be strong. This is both infuriating and comforting.

The only manga I know where main character's bond with a female character is stronger than any other to the point of being the main bond of the manga, but probably not romantic, is Bleach - Ichigo and Rukia. Rukia is named Ichigo's other half that he waited for for so long, she stopped the rain that was falling in his heart, she saved his soul and gave him purpose, even Kubo himself wrote it in his poems, but he also said he doesn't see this bond as a romantic one. Will Orihime ever be more important to Ichigo even if they get together in the end? Will it make his bond with Rukia less significant, less important to him? No. Never. Rukia will be the most important person to him. IMHO (don't bash me).

Just like that I believe that NS will always have ENOUGH. But then there is a second option - the movie might go ahead and try to destroy the very essence of NS by denying some of the moments, making Hinata mimic Sakura or by stating openly that Naruto never really loved Sakura.

And then there will be war. It will be an insult of a century. That won't make me jump ship, but it will make me deny Naruto as a universe at all.

There is a song that talks about NS perfectly. It shows an imperfection of the girl and deep unchanging eternal love of the man, who has to suffer from her sometimes, but will never stop loving her. It is actually a cover on the Beatles song "Girl" by Chris De Burgh -

My heart cries for NS every time I listen to this song, it is like a Naruto POV for me.

That's a little bit to much of forcing SS   sorry but its kitten   and it makes no sens   having spend more time does not equal for dynamic if they don't talk at all (Sakura said it herself ) and the one party degrades the other with insults   . I mean really this is having family undertones ?  Being part of  T7 does not justify it  out of all the parings SS has the least dynamic almost none  and most of it is all negative even P1 .

Sorry but I just can't stand when something abusive as SS is given more merit  then a none abusive relationship no matter how much that it  sucks  .  SS is disgrace to all women  and relationship its the cancer for everything that relationship  and love stand for and should be .

This is kitten.

I can't believe how defensive this place became - no space to even mention some ambiguity. You can write a huge post about how you love NS, despise the ending and don't accept end pairings and then mention in a single sentence how you try to find at least something good in something bad to cope better - and you get a bunch of potatoes and feces thrown at you. I even specifically mentioned that I was thinking about Part 1 and Sasuke as a child! And still got an angry answer that doesn't notice that I am just speaking my mind.

And yes, I even think that Sasuke has been deformed by the trauma, but with proper treatment he can be reverted to his past self, who was loving and caring. Just like his temper is actually hot, not cold, how he is very passionate and caring in reality - the change in temper\personality is actually a BIG sign of mental disease or post-traumatic disorder. In 95 percent of the manga we don't even see the true Sasuke.
