I see rant threads popping up, and just thought it'd be easier to have everyone's opinion in one thread.

 

I'll post mine later... after all, I've got a video to make on this. 

 

So... even besides the pairings.

 

What really pisses me off is that Sasuke and Naruto know what its like to not have a family and then they just NEVER are there for their kids. That isn't even the half of it, though....

-The fact that this chapter was ever made

I don't even know where to begin... All I know is it won't do any use to complain about it anymore. What's canon is now canon, and we'll be the only ones in the whole Naruto fandom to actually have a brain - but we'll never stop being teased about being "wrong" this whole time.

 

All I know is that Kishi is kittening insane to make SasuSaku canon. I don't even care if NaruSaku becomes canon or if NaruHina becomes canon - I hate SasuSaku. It is the worst pairing someone could think up, and it kills my brain in more ways then one. Now that it's canon, I just know that Kishi must've been on some really high drugs. SasuSaku is the biggest NO anyone could think up.

 

SasuSaku bing canon is the worst writing I've ever seen. It's the LAST thing I'd ever see happening. Kishi must be really freaking stupid... If I hated Sakura I wouldn't want Sasuke to be with her. If I hated Sasuke I wouldn't want Sakura to be with him. They're just such a horrible pairing idea... And liking both Sasuke and Sakura - SasuSaku is a really big blow to both their characters. God this pairing...

1. Failure to resolve major plot points such as the cycle of hate. Seriously...they answer was the enemy of my enemy. Their differences caused wars. WWII is an obvious instane that that kind of papering over doesn't eliminate the underlying differences. Once the reason they united goes away those differences have a nasty way of returning. People just hate anymore because....something.

 

2. The complete abandonment of accountability and responsibility.

 

3. Constantly raising and side stepping moral issues.

 

4. Letting a mass murderer get his happy ending and live vicariously through Kakashi.

 

5. The complete ignoring the obvious objectors.

 

6. Kaguya and Black Zetsu and the complete failure to develop either.

 

7. Part 2's constant blame shifting from characters to designated a**holes.

 

8. The Failure to resolve Naruto's feelings.

 

9. Not seeing Naruto becoming Hokake.

 

10. Naruto's and Sasuke OCC behavior.

 

11. Ino behaving like her Part 1 self.

 

12. Sakura behaving like her Part 1 self.

 

13. Everything about the 693 reset button.

 

14. Spending an enormous amount of time building parallels  only to turn around and ignore them 

 

15. Constantly reaffirming Naruto's feelings dedicate only to abandon it for no clear reason.

 

16. Leaving that justification for a movie because of the obvious hole that's left.

 

17. The constant use of strawmen.

 

18. The haphazard slapping together of pairings that have no basis in anything, but simply for their own sake.

 

19. Having Naruto become Hokage will somehow being constantly bailed out of having to make tough decisions or justify anything. 

 

20. Obito is a cool guy.

 

21. Always reaching for the low hanging fruit...that the other reality of IT was a lie wasn't the worst thing about it. Not even close.

 

21. Failing to effectively call Obito out as the complete piece of kitten he was.

 

22. Seriously, Rin had nothing to say about what Obito had done? In her name. What price did he pay for that again?

 

23. Team Not Seven. Their existence made no sense. Why they stuck around made no sense. And despite their lingering stench they are suddenly AWOL from the ending?

 

24. Orochimaru being reduced to cheap plot device. No idea why he helped, what he got out of it, and why he was just ignored. Kinda like he was a murderous monster the whole time. Even his resurrection was bullsh**. What was the motivation. There was none.

 

25. The mass Pain resurrection. 

 

26. Izanami. Cheap plot device and a technique whose existence made no sense other than a pathetic way to "reform" Kabuto by undertstanding his true. Why his true self couldn't be crap? No idea. But apparently that was impossible. 

 

27. Naruto completely wiffing on the fact that Itachi was one, if not the, biggest reason Sasuke went the direction he did. 

 

28. Pretending Itachi didn't murder children when he totally did as a way of trying to blunt the damage it does to the whole idea of good Itachi.

 

29. Resolving the Kyuubi reveal off screen.

Naruto didn't establish lasting peace.

Konoha has been turned into a major metropolitan city.

They have advanced technology despite being simple renaissance-era like ninjas only a couple years ago.

Naruto's feelings for Sakura were never addressed.

NaruHina became canon without a single word between the two.

We never found out what happened to Orochimaru.

Sakura's character was destroyed.

It wasn't explained how Sasuke intends to atone for his sins.

The tailed beasts were never mentioned besides 8 and 9 tails.

The infinite tsukuyomi was never mentioned again.

 

And lastly but perhaps most importantly EVERYTHING WAS RUSHED. None of it was explained and Kishimoto has brought shame to his name with this ending.

Mkay. Let me get started...although my answers will probably be repeats. 

1. I was disappointed that the bench/forehead scene was never addressed
2. That Sasuke used Itachi's gesture for Sakura, when he already said Naruto was like his brother
3. That Sakura forgave Sasuke so quickly
4. That Sasuke's apology was so vague
5. That Sasuke didn't have to do some kind of community service (or maybe a few years of prison)
6. That nothing was done to atone for the genocide of the Uchiha clan
7. That Sakura didn't get another upgrade
8. That Sakura didn't say a single thank you for making it so Team 7 could laugh together again
9. That Naruto didn't do the end monologue of 699
10. That Hinata never got her character development
11. That we never heard about what happened to the Hyuga clan, especially with Neji's death
12. That we didn't see Ino take over her dad's job
13. That there was no closure for Naruto's feelings for Sakura, no confession, etc.
14. That the Kushina stuff wasn't addressed again. I kind of hoped to see Naruto's parents in the epilogue
15. That Sakura even had the decency to ask to travel with Sasuke and drop all of her Konoha duties and friends
16. That we never saw Sakura become head of the medical department
17. That Kishimoto hooked Ino up with someone who wasn't even attracted to her
18. That Kishimoto hooked up Chouji and Kurai when they've never even spoken, nor had any development
19. That Bolt really doesn't have his own personality. He's just a diet coke of Naruto.
20. That Sakura's just a house wife.
21. That Sasuke looks like Madara.................after eveything Madara did. 
22. The fact that neither SasuNaru nor NaruSaku happened!!!!   
23.  Inojin....that's all I have to say about him/her
24.  Just the sudden SS and NH, it would have been fine if he developed it, but it felt too forced.
25.  Just how everything was rushed...

-What I hate about this chapter is that everything I ever loved about the series is missing from it. It’s like Kishimoto threw away all the character development and the majority of the series’s themes. Where is the conclusive ending we were promised?

 

-What about some of the things we were told was going to happen, like Naruto succeeding at bringing lasting peace to the world? Sure, he may be in alliance with the other nations, but it's not like his predecessors hadn't done the exact same thing. Nor does this guarantee a lasting peace. Though, Kishi may have written himself into a hole on that one by bringing it up in the first place.

 

-I didn't want NH to happen, but I still could have enjoyed the ending if Kishi hadn't ended it in the most rushed and lazy way possible.

 

-WHERE DID NARUTO'S LOVABLE PERSONALITY GOOOO?

 

-Kishi has failed to provide closure on so many themes and foreshadowing, the ending doesn't even feel like an ending

 

-Sakura being reduced to a housewife instead of a ninja or mednin. What the hell??

 

-Sakura's character development practically being pushed back to part one levels

 

-WHAT ABOUT HINATA LEADING HER CLAN???

Let's see where do I start

 

-Sakura being reduced to a fangirl.

-Sasuke being upgraded to the main protagonist.

-Naruto being downgraded to a minor character.

-Naruto becomes a terrible father who neglects his kids and his wife.

-The Hokage seat has no real purpose, with eternal peace the point of being a shinobi is non existent. Just ask Ten Ten who is clearly going out of business.

-Konoha has become "modernized"

-No interactions between Naruto and his former team.

-Everyone looks miserable.

-Random crack pairings Chouji and Kamui (was that her name) Ino and Sai (seriously?)

-The designs of the kids just look stupid. Except for Shikamaru's kid...he looks awesome.

-Baruto...Bolt whatever is being neglected by his father, wants nothing to do with his mother and his sister...the other kids seem to ostracize him. Yeah he is going to grow up into a good shinobi...I wouldn't be surprised if he grows up into a psychopath who ends up destroying the village, and thus Naruto's fake world peace shatters to nothing. But it is not going to happen.

-Happy ending? It feels like a dystopia...an undesirable ending to the shinobi legacy. Where they have become so weak, that an outside force will simply strike it down in due time. Clearly it is being shown here. Anko has become fat, Chouji has become fatter, the kids have no motivations, Not ounce did Baruto said he was going to succeed his dad in becoming Hokage, The tailed beasts seem to have vanished, No words from Karin, Suigetsu and Juugo. The Rookies have become tired, old and grumpy. (Seriously what happened?) No words from Orochimaru or Kabuto either.

I don't mind. Though I doubt any of mine are worth it, but since you're addressing everybody...

 

I don't think you need to throw anything away, though. Though that is certainly your choice. But, perhaps giving them away would be a better option?

Pairings aside, my problem with this actually parallels some of the problems I had with the final chapter of Harry Potter.  (And my ship "won" there.)

 

- It was rushed

- Next generation stuff will never end well

- No closure for several major threads

- It felt forced

- THIS IS BAD STORYTELLING

 

699 I'll take.  It could have ended there and I'd be okay with it.  The all color 700 is like the worst fanfiction dredged up from the bowels of tumbler and illustrated by the less talented members of Deviantart.

Basically, NaruHina and SasuSaku literally got less than two pages of development out of the blue (NaruHina actually got a grand total of ONE panel). 

 

NaruSaku wasn't resolved. 

 

Team Taka just up and vanished. Where the cuss did Karin go?!

 

Every single one of those kids is just a remash of their parents. There's nothing unique about them at all. And Sai's kid is one ugly mofo. 

 

Salad's name is Salad and Burrito's name is Burrito. NO.

 

Gaara's hair. 

 

Why the crap are Kurenai and Iruka so wrinkled? They're not even that old! Iruka's probably only like 40! 

 

Why did none of the older generation except for Asuma and Kurenai have kids, but then EVERYONE in the next generation all married each other and all happened to have kids at the same time so that they're all the same age? Wut. RETARDED.

I just feel like I wasted 15years of life. I use to defend sakura when everyone bashed her to the ground. I was the only one out of my group and what hurts the most is that I'm right. She was justified in every one of those situations from the "fake confession," how she could have love sasuke at each point of the manga, how she was changing etc. but it doesn't matter. According to 700 sakura is basically everything the people said she was. All characters development gone in one Chpt. She was my favorite character b/c I knew she had it in her to change; I saw the potential. But part of that change was get over sasuke and realizing her true love with naruto. Sasusaku is abusive. She needed to get over sasuke to truly see she was strong by herself. Sasuke was holding her back and naruto pushed her forward. Many of her doubts and shortcomings where linked to saskue. I notice the repeatedly in the manga. But it doesn't matter.

But my bigger issue is that the hero never got the girl; he gets the rebound girl and everyone is ok with it. As long as naruhina happens; naruto feeling doesn't matter. Hinata couldn't have said it better myself, "I'm [naruhina shippers] just being selfish." Naruto was supposed to surpass the previous generation. Nothing in the manga makes sense to me after 700. I can even read of watch it the same. All I can think of is how the anime studio is gonna spam the crap out of naruhina now. I want to be happy for naruto becoming hokaga but I can't hep but feel like screwed over (put in nice terms). I can not and I will not ever accept naruhina. I will ride on my [narusaku] ship and I will die on my ship. Narusaku4Lyfe.

**Btw. I will be waiting for kishimoto explaination. I'm sure someone is gonna ask if 700 was his intentions from the beginning.b
