So glad to see Iruka again--always loved watching him and Naruto interact (even though I always saw him more as a father-figure to Naruto than an older brother...but oh well).

The excuse given at the beginning to try and keep the charade going was....pretty weak XD But the talk that followed it was so emotionally charged--can't wait to see it animated with the actual voices.

The pages where Naruto senses the battles were intense! The dramatic lines with him surrounded by his friends in combat, his exp​ression when he asks what's going on... So cool (especially since we got to see Sakura! ....kind of!).

....I keep trying to come up with things to say, but the word "intense" just keeps running around my brain. The way Naruto and Iruka reacted to each other, the way Naruto displayed his new abilities, the emotions as Naruto read over Iruka's letter and rushed off...

My only gripe with this chapter is that while it's grand that Naruto's taking Nagato's words to heart, I completely agree with Iruka: he needs to see that it's not *his* war alone. Obviously as the main character we can expect him to do great things and have a huge impact, but imagine if you were Iruka listening to this kid tell you he was going to end the war all on his own. Whether I had faith in him or not, I wouldn't be able to not get annoyed with his immediate insistence that it's his role to take everything on less than five minutes after hearing there was a war going on.

But like I said, I get that we're supposed to see it from Naruto's perspective with the knowledge of the prophecy and the trust from Jiraiya and Nagato to change the shinobi world, etc.etc..

@Verilance--Glad I'm not the only one that thought, "Oh ho~ Hinata's not here? Hmmmmm." XD

Woah once again i'm shocked how much Naruto has improved in the past few months, we saw during Sasuke vs the Kages how quickly he can create a Clone and make a rasengan, when Madara paid him a visit, and now in this chapter the speed at which he went into Sage mode was brilliant, he did it in seconds, without going into hi meditation state, making a more viable option in battles.

Also liked the effect the shadow possesion jutsu has on Sage mode, it will add a whole different dimension to the way Shikamaru and Naruto work together, the ability to detect all your allies and enemies is beyond even the Hyuuga's Byakuyan. With the ability to know location of both sides, Shikamaru's brain, Naruto brute force, strength in numbers and abilty to think on his feet, they would be unstoppable. This for me reinforces the fact that when Naruto becomes Hokage, Shikamaru will be his right hand man.

Kishimoto-Sensie seriously needs to change the Naruto entrance theme, it's been almost identicle in the past three battles. I'm guessing whilst Naruto is rushing to the battle, Madara will turn the tides somehow and last second Naruto makes and entrance.

Good to see the bond between Iruka and Naruto is as strong as always.

Great chapter. I'm sensing Madara vs. Naruto part 1 coming up. Naruto has not completed his training, is taking all the responsibility on himself, and is getting a little hotheaded with his power. I believe Madara is waiting for naruto to show up. I think in the end this is where the akatsuki capture naruto. I know most people think the "one with powerful eyes" in the prophecy is Sasuke, but I think he is for later first is Madara. For now, I think Madara wins round 1.

He really should complete it. On second thought...maybe he did... Madara won the first battle though. He's getting Naruto basically handed to him.

I think he's way in over his head. Sure he may have gotten stronger to the point where he could kill multiple mooks but that still won't end a war.


Why do I get the feeling that Sasuke is going to make a small cameo appearance, kill Iruka and head back in the shadows for a few more arcs?


@Name I forget I agree with your post about Madara being the one with strong eyes in the prophecy. Also a Naruto vs Madara Round 1 battle reminds me of Ichigo vs Aizen Round 1 from the Soul Society Arc in Bleach.
