I've already seen the movie, but I'm seeing it in the big screen this coming Friday so I can support it and marvel in it's beauty. That's the one thing this movie wins in, and that's visuals. It's simply breathtaking and I can wait to see it in theaters. When it comes to story I still like Strong World a little better, but this comes in second with film Z in third. The LuNa goodness is strong in this movie. Nami is the one running the show and them parallels are pure beauty.  Thank you Oda.

Because nothing says I love you more then ripping your arms off for your bae. Also Brook wins comment of the year for calling Big mom young lady.

Oda isn't holding back which pairing he likes anymore. These past 2 weeks it's been too obvious he likes LuNa. At the very worst, he likes the concept of it but can't make it happen. At the very best, they have babies and their kids become best friends with Zoro's kids with Tashigi.

I think this is why I'd be okay if they didn't become canon. It's clear Oda is fond of them and that alone would make me happy. He doesn't support them because his fans or editors tell him too. 

I've seen One Piece Gold and it does have some nice LuNa in it, especially the end. Funimation already dubbed the movie and it will be out in the states for a week. The dates are Jan 10-17th in select theaters of course. I loved the LuNa from this last chapter too

I was quoting everyone, not just you, 2. my point is, it isn't a retcon because there was never anything to retcon in the first place because it was never confirmed that majin buu was the reason they split, it was left unanswered. also, elder kai was imprisoned in the z sword for years, do you honestly think he really knew anything about the potara other than what they did to him? yet you're gonna believe that just because he said they were permanent that they are?

Then why quote me? Lol!! Anyhow I agreed with you that them splitting up inside Buu was never confirmed, but trying to pull of this whole "Only Kai's stay fused forever" is a load of crap. This kittening explanation for a new "time restraint" is insulting. Sure Old Kai was sealed for years in the Z sword, but does that mean that after those events the secrets of the earrings weren't shared with any of the future Kai's?? The Supreme Kai had no freaking idea that he could fuse with them, let alone that it would be preeminent, but now I'm supposed to accept the fact that Old Kai wrong, and that another Kai from another universe is the one that knows how the Potara earrings REALLY WORK?? How does that makes sense? I'm sorry but if an old mystic Kai appears from a sword and he knows a bunch of stuff isn't it logical to believe that he knows it all? At the time of Z the answer is Yes, his word was final, but Super failed in convincing me that this new explanation was passable. 

If they wanted Trunks to win so bad, but still use a fusion for ratings then they should have gone with Gogita. He had a time limit, and he would have been canon had he appeared. Plus I really really really wanted them to perform the fusion dance. Anyhow had they gone this route there would have been no kittening needed to explain why Vegito would split up. They'd have a fusion with a time limit, no retcons, and Trunks could save the day. Why they just didn't do this boggles my mind.  

I am gentle as the next guy but I am getting a bit annoyed that I'm being positioned in "You hate it because Trunks took the victory." Why am I placed there? I wanted that myself, but the way it was done was too Shounen, out of nowhere, redundant, thanks to constant "Earth is awesome!" speech in one arc, and it was at the end.

I know it's not new to do asspull but the real problem is that the ending of all previous fights are what you already have and give it all to the very end.

Gohan vs. Cell, ends do or die with the familiar attack and ended with everyone helping in a non-cheesy way. Not to mention, full fledge badass Gohan with that walk.

Goku vs. Buu, once the final saga, doing the spirit bomb that feel like it finally ended with amazing developments from everyone. Man tears was shed.

Here, "Oh what is this? This is new? Ok, I'll be off now with this really newly found power, so bye!" This is Kakashi's Susanoo tier of wtf. I wasn't ready for that. No build or hype. It just did it because welcome to new age of Shounen I guess. I can go on.

This right here ^ My husband and I watched this last episode with out mouth's opened in shock as a box of asspulls was opened. Now we're avid fans of the entire series, have been since the 90's, but this was a disaster. Before I go into it I have to say that the animation was on point, it was beautiful, but that was the only good thing about this episode. For starters they made Zamatsu way too strong, he essentially became Madera, and instead of defeating him they made him into a Kaguya. They had no way of beating him. Even with a fusion I knew it wouldn't work.Which points me to the problems with Vegito. First off can we just acknowledge the retcon of the fusion only lasting an hour? I mean seriously?! If they were going to add a time limit then they should have gone with Gogita instead. What makes this retcon even worse is that it wasn't even needed. The earrings could have been destroyed, or they could have made a wish to be apart, but of course something needed to happen so that they could fail so that Trunks good save the say with Shounen power.

Now if Trunks was supposed to save the day then Vegito should have never come into play. Once Goku couldn't use his arms Trunks should have used his plot power then. Instead we see an unnecessary fusion fail. Now I'm not mad that Trunks was the one to give the final blow, it's fitting because this was his arc, but the way it was done was cheap. It also makes no sense power level wise. Trunks trying to help throughout this whole thing was awesome. I admired him for not giving a crap on how strong these enemies were but him coming to the rescue time and time again without dying or being mortally wounded started getting on my nerves. I let his new level of Super Sayajin slide, but I call kitten the moment he manifested a new blade for his broken sword and then created a spirit bomb that was absorbed into said sword   I seriously thought this was going to end with All-chan interfering but it looks like he makes his appearance afterwards...

What is that?

In short The man in the Iron Mask is a story based on true events, but things were changed up a bit. The true part of the story is that a man existed back in like the 1600's who was imprisoned, however no one knew his identity since he had a cloth over his face at all times. He died without anyone ever knowing who he really was, and why his identity had to remain a secret. So all kinds of theories came out and stories, but the one that stood out was by Voltaire. He said that the man wore a mask of iron instead of cloth and that he was the older, illegitimate brother of Louis XIV. Years go by and then Alexandre Dumas adds his own flare to the story, which is that the man is not only King Louis brother, but his identical twin.

This is the story people think about when the hear Man in the Iron Mask. It was made into a ton of movies, but most everyone thinks of the one Leonardo DiCaprio was in. It also has the three musketeers in it as well.

 

Ah, my friend it's not that Oda/Goda doesn't want us to ship, He's just not writing in romance into the plot because he doesn't want romance to take over the adventure aspect of it nor want people to lose focus on on the adventure aspect of it. He's basically saying "think what we want but he is not confirming anything nor goading us on". Probably not even at the end. Maybe.  shipping is notthe same as having confirmed romance into the plot of a story, fans will ship REGARDLESS of the creator's intentions

The heart wants what the heart wants   Now I love One Piece's story way more then Naruto's, like a billion to one. I'll admit that I was reading Naruto towards the end there just to see who he ended up with because the story started failing big time. However that isn't the deal with One Piece. I personally love the little discussions we all have here because at the end of the day they're pretty funny.

Spooky time!

I had a proud mommy moment the other day, just had to share.

So just like I said decorating started today. The kids and I got all creative and made some stuff. It's amazing how many lttle things you can get at the dollar general, lol. They really wanted a spooky cat so I drew one for them and of course they wanted their own little paper pumpkins. All of these little creations are out on our window. It's too dark but I'll take picutres tomorrow. All that's left is adding spider webs and our jack o launterns. I havent written out my ritual, which I really should, but I'm notorious for doing most everything last minute XD

Shipping in One Piece... The most Shounen of Shounen... You should know better. That's like shipping in Pokemon. Say how're Ash and Serena doing? 

 

Sh*tposting aside, I didn't really like the way this fight went. It all felt too contrived. Contrived that they met Lola's father in the forest who reminds Nami of the Vivre Card which she coincidentally has in her cleavage which coincidentally gives Nami control of all the Homies in the forest because it has Big Mom's soul in it. Not to mention Cracker who can apparently create an infinite amount of Biscuit clones didn't think to send a few of them after Nami who has been weakening his biscuits. This just reaffirmed my belief that no matter what happens Oda will never have Nami harmed and I hate favoritism. He has no problem harming Robin, Cosette and especially Usopp. I also didn't like that Sanji's reason for not fighting women also came strictly from Zeff. For someone who refuses to hit women even at the cost of his life you would think it had something to do with his traumatic childhood, but no, Zeff just said not to hit women so he doesn't. That's a really weak characterisation which is only done to shine a brighter light on Sanji and Zeff's relationship in opposition to his relationship with his biological family. It was unnecessary, cheap, and below Oda.

While your opinion is valid I just want to add that I can ship a damn orange and beagle if I want to. I don't care how "foolish" it is, leave me be, and secondly, I don't think that Oda favors Nami, she's no Sasuke to him. She's had her fair share of fights where she's gotten hurt, she's not  untouchable or anything. Her fight with Doublefinger was pretty bad, she didn't walk away unharmed, plus stabbing herself out of desperation is no joke either, but I will say that in the grand scheme of things, I do think Nami has been cheated when it comes to fights, but that's what this arc is supposed to be about. We haven't gotten to see her, Sanji, Chopper or Brook show what they've learned in the past two years. So I'm sure she'll get an ass kicking fight.

Oh and I think you might be missing the point between Zeff and Sanji. It's not about Zeff telling him not to hit a woman, it's the fact that he flat out told Sanji that as his parent it's his job to make sure he doesn't grow up to be a douche. Telling him "please don't grow up into someone I despise." must hit home to a child whose actual father wanted him to be a monster, to be cruel and unmerciful to everyone. That's why its meaningful. It's probably one of Sanji's first morals he learned from a father figure. I'm sure his mother did some things too, but from what we got Sanji wasn't able to be with her much :/
