The way you are typing is making it sound like this is what you mean. Perhaps I am reading it wrong or the point is not conveyed clear enough. Maybe a little of both.
Maybe, but it definetaly has something to do with the fact that I'm not always good at conveying my thoughts properly. It's really quite frustrating.
No, it's not the sole reason, this is true, but to say that "hate alone does not create conflict" is wrong in itself. The Nazis based their whole idea behind hatred which is why people see them as the ultimate evil in our world and why neo-nazis are also a problem.

Indeed and that's why these crazy people should either be put down or locked up somewhere where they can receive proper help. I'm not saying that everyone should follow one predetermined logic or that logic need to be applied to everything. I you wanna act like an illogical maniac and burn your own house down, so be it. Well, most of the villains in Naruto were never redeemed. Even if we as readers were given a deeper insight into their psyche and learned what made them "evil", they still ended up dying.
Still, there have been examples of villains who managed to turn back to the "light side" before their deaths, like Zabuza and Nagato. Even so, they still died and I very much doubt that the rest of the shinobi world will remember them as anything other than villains. They both essentially pulled a Darth Vader, commiting one last act of good before dying. Even if they had lived and shown remorse for their actions, I doubt either of them would have gone unpunished. I think the same thing will happen with Sasuke. He either pulls a Darth Vader, gets punished for his actions or he becomes a wanderer.
Exactly. There will always be villains that go beyond rational thinking and understanding. It's not always clear what drives them either, but the fact they do want to do all these things is what the hero must stop. I also find it interesting that you can have a hero that is the same way. There is no rational reason or understanding why he is a hero, but he just does it cause he wants to be or because he chooses to be.
I want to write a story where the hero becomes the hero not because he knows it is right or it is rational morality, but because he just wants to be the opposition to evil.
Civilian: "Why do you want to be hero? Is it because you want to fight for justice or maybe have some troubled past you want to save people from? What about love? Do you loves omeone so much, you want to fight for them? Ooh maybe you are the hero because of deep religious findings in your life and it is fate for you to be the chosen one."

I agree. I also feel that Madara might betray Obito once he outlives his usefulness. Possibly even leaving him for dead. How ironic would it be if Obito saves Kakashi? I didn't really want Madara to be the main villain because it seemed too easy to make him one, but I guess it can't be helped now. So I accept it.
Yeah, as I've said before I see Obito as the Darth Vader to Madara's Darht Sidious and since the sith were notorious for always betraying each other, I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens here.
Well, we all know how much of a parallel junkie Kishi is, so if Obito is somehow brought back to the light side or pulls a Darth Vader, then having him save Kakashi would be a nice way to round up their relationship.
I also agree about Madara being the main villain. At first I didn't like it because it seemed stupid having a dead guy as the main villain lol. I also thought it would have been cooler having Sasuke as the main villain, because that would be a perfect analogy, both in terms of their relationship with each other, but also in terms of the whole generations/paralles thing. However, I am slowly but surely warming up to the thought of having Madara as the main villain, becasue I think he's supposed to be something more than just some old guy who's hellbent on enslaving everyone in his idealistic version of a perfect world. I think he's supposed to be a symbol of all the hate and strife that has always plagued the shinobi world. A plague soo old and ingrown that it literally permeates everything and since Naruto is supposed to be the guy who will shake things up, it makes sense that his ultimate opponent is the old system itself.
