Has anyone shared this here yet?  Anyway, credit goes to HezuNeutral from deviantArt.

None of this is real

Also, while this has some shipping in it, it is NOT the main criticism, as you will see.

But of course. Renji is basically thanking Ichigo for restoring his relationship with Rukia lol :D Well whether or not that is a romance moment is up in the air. I would be fine too if no couples are formed in the end though.

Rather it paves a way for the IchigoxRenji ship;  Rukia was merely used to help the two bond further.

Oh, this is hilarious and awesome at the same time.  You know the seiyuus Rie Kugumiya and Satoshi Hino, right?  They voiced lead roles together in Shakugan no Shana and Zero no Tsukaima.  In Lost Canvas, together they voiced the same character, one of the dream gods Phantasos.

All I could say during opening the OP was "am I still watching Cardfight?".  Also, it looks like Chrono and the others will not use different Vanguards this season as I feared.

Wow, their teacher is the complete opposite of Mark-sensei.  I was just reminded of that, and like last season, this will be the last we see of him for the current season.  Shows how much effort the current staff is putting into the series writing-wise.

The teaching fight made me cringe.  The explanations treat the audience like idiots.  And instead of Luna learning for herself, Chrono and later Shion and Tokoha feel the need to give her advice, when it's really telling her what moves to make.  I would be so annoyed by that if I was her.  Also, despite all the unnecessary explaining or rather because of it, the fight ends in the most generalized way possible!  Man, it took me so long to get through this episode T_T.  In addition, they play the imagination angle differently than the previous series.  I mean come on, Aichi and the others did not feel shock waves no matter how many times they played, unless Psyquolia was involved.  As many fear, it's looking like Asia Circuit all over again.  Though IMO, Asia Circuit wasn't really all that bad, average at best.  This season though, I'll continue to hold out and see.

One good thing is it looks like Gear Chronicle has been circulated to the average player now.  Also, the cameos.  Looks like both Miwa and Izaki work at Card Capitol, at least part time.  Why does Misaki look older than everyone else?  Oh, hey, it's Chris.  My has he changed.

Also, generation master... Must... refuse... urge... to make...Pokemon joke!

First all, welcome to Saint Seiya thread and I would glad you  can stay here.

Thanks for the recommendations.  I'll check them out some time in the future.  I'll likely watch the anime version of Lost Canvas before reading the manga.

I'm enjoying it.  It's standard shounen cliches, but that doesn't automatically mean it's bad.

Despite Chrono's victory against Kanzaki, this match is disappointing. Same with the previous matches.  Is this even possible?

Anyway, have you guys participated in World Championship?

No, I would want to though, but the only cards I have right now are the beginner set, with 25 Royal Paladin + 25 Kagerou.  Waiting for Cardfight Online to actually play against players.  It's the most viable option for me right now.

Aichi vs. Ren was hard to live up to, but they didn't even try here, instead doing everything they could to make it as unrealistic as possible.  Since the beginning of the season, I feared the anime staff sacrificed substance for flash, and took a "tell don't show" attitude.  Instead of having the audience make the conclusion that Chrono's fights inspire people, they're going to tell us.  Chrono, Tokoha and Shion are a team, we get already; stop telling us every moment you can.  Heck, we hear more about the fights than actually seeing what's going on outside the flashy animation.  I don't know if writers were changed in-between seasons or whatnot, but this style is really a 180 from how it used to be.  What G suffers from is a lack of focus.  Mixing slice of life with cardfights isn't bad.  What matters is execution, and it's horrible, because it's half-baked on both sides.  If it's slice of life, take an episode or two off from cardfighting, only leaving it for discussion or in the background.  Then, when the cardfighting becomes important, give the audience details.  They don't have tell us everything, but they have to make it so the game is easy to follow.  What they're attempting can work, it's just a matter of optimizing focus.

WTF was that Kanzaki !!? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: . LOL This is becoming ridiculous , I don't understand why are they making it like this ,instead like it was in  P1 it had so much more flare and depth with the fights  but this is just ugh !!! . They better go back to their roots and don't screw up with GIRIS .

Oh, Happy Belated Birthday!

Looked at the wiki, and Touken Ranbu is legal, or at the very least, nothing says you can't use it.

Re-validates my opinion to never introduce imaginary energy sources.  I had to faceplam at the entire explanation.  Another *shake my head* moment was when Kanzaki reveals his entire "evil" plan to TRY3 for no apparent reason. It's like Ibuki sent them up there for just that entire reason, which either makes him either really smart for knowing Kanzaki that well to talk, or really stupid if he expected for no one to be there.  Also, TRY3 acting surprised and calling Kanzaki out for using the US branch Fighters, I did another facepalm, because it was obvious from the beginning.  And I could only cringe, when Taiyou introduced Chrono to his "friends".  "See Chrono-san, these are my friends because I have mon-I mean I became strong."  Yeah, they'll drop him like a hat once he loses.  What makes me cringe is why show this now?

So, now Chrono has the Depend card, which will be how he wins his match with Taiyou.  I don't like how they did the opposite of Aichi with Chrono, because plot armor and MC status really shines on him.  With Chrono, it's no doubt he's the chosen one, and will win all his major battles and save the day, but the series has a hard time making the audience care.  With the way things are, it's not that we want Chrono to win, but to see Kanzaki and US Branch lose, because they're "evil" and their practices are wrong.  That's why the anime staff gives the US branch and it's fighters every evil stereotypical cliche and take it up to eleven.  I can see why, because the cast is kind of limited, and they obviously didn't want bring in too many things.  We know Chrono's the misunderstood loner with a heart of gold, Shion the rich kid, who has to tackle many responsibilities (that are only shown when it's convenient for plot), and Tokoha who IMO got the worse of the three, being a younger sibling overshadowed by her older brother.  Really, outside of that, what do we know. Characterization, characterization!  And the best way to flesh out characters is by putting them together with other different characters.  And no, not by introducing a character that basically is a cardboard cut out of the same character like Saya was for Tokoha.  They key lies in differences.  This is why foil characters exists.  Characters that are the complete opposite or have an opposing view of a main character's personal issue, creating a conflict.  However, this season does this particularly poorly, because even though Team Try3 lack plenty of substance, they are still the most fleshed out characters, not only particular due to character development, but also because the rest of the characters are one trick ponies, especially the rival characters, except Shouma and Takeru.  Rin, Yuya (no, not the one from the latest Yu-Gi-Oh), and Kariya are all so stuck-up and rude that's it's not even funny.  I mean it's one thing to have one character like this but three.  What a waste of characters.  It's like the anime staff doesn't want take any risks by being creative.  Given Cera in Legion Mate, I understand a little, but that's not an excuse to not try.

The main plot I'm getting is for TRY3 to prove the game is fun, while stopping Kanaki's ambitions.  Oh, and to save the Taiyou, though he chose his own path.  While it's good to have objectives, G is heading straightforward down those objectives, so much so  I can't get invested, because there's no reason to want the good guys to win other than to beat the bad guys.  It doesn't help they're waiting til the very end to tell us why this Depend card is so important and why the very fabric of reality is at stake.  I wished Cardfight never ventured into the "save the world" territory.  IMO, Cardfight's height was in season 1.  The supernatural aspect was a side thing, and something the characters weren't even aware of most of the time.  The critical point was the clash between Aichi and Ren between their ideals, and Aichi's growth from the shy kid he was.  It gave a nice message that everyone is prone to temptation and have a darker side to their character.  The important thing is to accept it as part of you, and not reject it.  And only then, can you move forward.

#708993 The Last: Naruto the Movie: Thread 2 aka The Last retcon: Hinata-sama the movie

Posted by DattebayoXShannaro on 18 December 2014 - 04:55 AM

I read a comment on Tumblr expressing why Naruto needed to be married to be happy.  Kishimoto and SP force Hinata to replace his most two important bonds in order for it to work.  However, Naruto's bonds were more important than any romance, and in his fight with Gaara the audience is shown how Naruto considers Team 7 to be his family, along with Iruka and Konohamaru.  However, in this movie, all his important bonds get sacrificed in order to be with Hinata, when Naruto in the manga-verse  wouldn't allow any of his connections to be cut.  I mean we're all aware of how he far he went for Sasuke, and we can argue how close they really were.  Why couldn't Kishimoto make an ending where a now Hokage Naruto is meeting Team 7 at Ichiraku, talking about old times and laughing together, like certain point plots pointed at.  Have Kakashi messing up both Naruto and Sasuke's hair with Sakura giggling in the center, and at the end, have a picture taken of that moment, which resembles their first photo, cementing Team 7's lifelong connection.  No one had to even be together in this ending, and it would have made more sense, yet all wasted for a side character.
