Here's an example of popular games:
Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario Bros., etc. etc. etc. (Just an example that doesn't mean I don't like them.)

Resident Evil anything... heck, zombie games in general.
Soul Caliber IV (HORRIBLE addition to a once great franchise)
...probably a few others, but those are off the top of my head.

You haven't experienced the full cofusion of modern gender relations until you've heard an angry group of women yelling, "We want tentacles!" at an all-night Hentai-fest.

There is no need to criticize others choices as they are free to speak their opinons. Please be respectful even if you disagree with someones choice.
As for me, I never really liked World of Warcraft, but I figure that's because of its fanbase much rather then the game itself (though I got bored after a week or so after playing the game).

FOR MEEEE I never really enjoyed the whole idea of games liek Everquest or Star Wars Online or WoW (haven't played, but I figure it's the same). Like starting off as a lvl 1 Barbarian, going out and killing 3092840932810494 bunnies just to gain...DUN DUN DUN!

(For the younger readers, a "record store" was a building that you had to go to when you wanted to buy music.)
(For the younger readers, "buying music" was the way we acquired it, since we couldn't just… you know what, let's just get back to the Bowen song. Stupid kids, you ruin everything.)
Be the Ultimate Ninja! Or Reaper! Or Zombie Killer... or something. Play Billy Vs. SNAKEMAN!

I also am not a fan of FPS. I want to be, but I guess I get motion sickness easily. For whatever reason those games really do me in. I did like Fall Out 3 allot though. I think it was cause of the RPG element and the fact that there were some missions that didn't involve it being a FPS so much.
Then there is fighting games. My dislike for them really only stems from me being terrible at them though. I guess this kind of got off topic since it was about specific games and not genres though. If I had to point to specific examples within the genres though I would go for The Halo games and Street Fighters games.
