That is not the problem, the issues is why they didn't call Tri a spin off or reboot or something. In my opinion Tri is call a movie and this mean that sometimes movies or ovas have that vibe of canon, but at the same time is another thing.

I hope the sequel will be good. I thought the first one is good, but not enough at the same time. It seems because there is a sequel in plan that the ending was a bit off.

People said it could be like Tamers style or I  should say  Biormage kind something I didn't accept complete.

According to the new trailer it looks like the epilogue of 02 might be changed a bit because tai mentioned that digimon might not be kept with there original partners anymore. Also the end of the trailer implies bio merge which is a tamers thing. Tamers and adventure 1 and 2 are separate universe there lores are different so how is bio-merging possible for the 01 universe unless they make a good explanation. But then again 02  had some contradictions from 01. 

 

Im more interested for the digimon survive game than the digimon anime at this point im not a fan of the legacy kakudou left for the adventure series or his attitude.
