They are only supporting this manga because it's 100% Sasuke and Sakura material. Even old fans who never cared about the pairing are reading the Manga.

 

SS fans only cares about Sasuke, Sakura and Sarada. Uchiha Family  Hardly has any focus in Boruto so they give ZERO support for Boruto story.

 

Also nH fans don't have any reason to support Boruto. Hinata and nH doesn't have any importance either. No wonder why Boruto is a flop. Ikemoto cant even please the few fanbases who are still alive.

 

Sasuke losing his Rinnegan just to be nerfed and Naruto losing Kurama is the last nail in the coffin.

...People are reading the two side manga because they look-like a Naruto manga; something Ikemoto refuses to either do or understand. The Sasuke manga is doing better because of SS fans doesn't mean the Mirai manga is doing poorly. You keep seeming to forget that one exist for some reason.

I thought even they were losing interest, I didn't realize they were being killed off.

Anime put some filler to grab the audience.
The only one i remember is when Sarada wanted  Sasuke to teach the Mangekyo Sharingan to her and Sakura trainning Sarada.
But i didn't really consider anime. Only manga.

In Boruto's manga uchiha family have zero focus.
Sasuke has more interaction with Boruto than with Sakura and Sarada.  SasuSaku Fans HATES that and despise Boruto story.

As for nH fans. I think they just wanted to see Hinata and Naruto acting like a Family and a couple or Hinata becoming the main heroine in the new manga.
They are not interested in Boruto (Hinata's son) after all.
Boruto doens't  have any similarity with Hinata or isn't even a interesting protagonist.

Eh, people shipped Naruto and Hinata, and their interaction is less than 3 chapters in whole manga. I have nothing against updates on this manga tho.

The story and dino are trash. Sounds like some Naruto anime Filler.
But the point is  Sasuke and Sakura's popularity + SS fanservice + Kimura's art are practically carrying this manga on their back.

 

Sales are what's going to matter. Tell us when the volume comes out and what its sales are.

 

 

it's not hard to overcome Boruto and put Ikemoto,Kishimoto and the producers in a high alert state.
Probably they already is in this state with these views...

A good benchmark is Spy x Family since its targeted at the same female audience segment.

Spy x Family had ~500 million views on that platform in 2019, their volume sold for more than a million copies (pre-anime) each ever since. Growth and stickiness is what matters for any series, and well see when the physical + digital copy sales figures are out. Thats the true yardstick.

Remember: Shonen Jump+ is free. The producers publishing their content there are well aware that the platform is meant to advertise their product, to entice readers buy & collect the actual copy in which the true revenue is made, as far as manga goes.

Sales also jump when the anime came out because that when the west actually pays attention to it. Such recently with Chainsaw Man which became huge this year after the anime started; it dominated the comic sales charts.

 

Well looking at Spy X Family that comparison. 500 mil online became 1 mil in sales. 7,000,000/500=14,000...probably not going to be one to one like that though.

Huh, well, it depends on how the executives take it. If they consider this a sign of any future Naruto-Boruto project, they will probably drop it after that Poll winner's manga if it doesn't do well; if they don't just ghost that one. If they count this as simply as Sasuke manga, who was ninth in the poll, maybe a SS manga, but not a Sakura manga. Who knows we will probably see by the end of the year.

I expect something between 35.000 or 50.000 in this first month.
A regular Boruto Volume sells 100.000.
This could tell to Boruto executives that at least 40% of the current Boruto Public is SS, Sasuke or Sakura fans.

Dont forget the Sasuke Retsuden light novel (the original source material) didnt exactly sale well either, and the numbers proved it!
