I think she can turn it on anytime she wants to. But seeing Shinpaichi almost being stabbed to death kind of made her snapped. She lost control.

Oh.. I could see that on her.

Has she turned Yato mode after this?

I know Naruto doesn't have the best animation but this fight is my one of my favorites and a really memorable one for me.
