I was oddly one of the few guys utterly removed from LotR fandom. Watched Fellowship, was, to my surprise, bored, struggled to get through it and never tried The Two Towers after that. Just never did anything for me.
Maybe I'll give this whole thing a second shot when this comes out, if not sooner.
At least you can look forward to it; to tell the truth, I didn't think the film would ever get off the ground after the development hell it's been through.

It's on Itunes so he really isnt.

Kind of a big LoTR junkie (actually has read all of the books) and considering The Hobbit was the first non-children's book I read (4th grade?) I am abso-****ing-lutely pumped for this. Very glad they are taking their time to make two parts of this movie as all good book-based movies should have done (no names). This means that they won't skip over a lot of the stuff from the book. I am looking forward to some riddles in the dark and ****ing Smaug raping face.
