Eh... no one is talking about this series? It looks interesting. (Though this anime was made by Kyoto Animation that suffered from the arson).

I've read the manga. It's good, but for the english name, it's pretty terrible.

I've seen some clips and episode of the anime, thanks to Funimation doing their simulcast dubs, as well as reading up on Fire Force. I was surprised to find out the guy who did Soul Eater and Soul Eater NOT was its' creator, but after doing more looking into it, it makes a lot of sense.

What happen to Fire force in YT was to equally with Demon Slayer? Sundely without looking the scenes on YT of both series FF doesn't show more scenes like DS that keep coming.

The series needs some more love because the story and premise is very interesting:

 

- theme of firefighters, though it is set in a post-apocalyptic world

- cues on religion

- Pyrokinetic powers mixed with other stuff

 

I liked the dub. The manga is very exciting to read, making me pumping for more. Favorite characters out of the bat for me are: Shinra, Maki, Iris, Hinawa, and Obi (dude just became the next FMA's Armstrong!)

You should. The anime has some downsize in terms of animation. While the backgrounds, pyrokinetic techniques, and character movements are great, certain scenes will have the characters looking stiff with a bunch of portrait shots that last about 5 seconds and also no faces shown if they're together in a group setting.

So I've been really getting into it lately. I'm at chapter 102. My favourite character is Tamaki. She is so funny and clumsy that I want to cuddle her lol. Also I felt so bad that the guy she liked was just using her to fulfill his own ambition and was going to beat her to death when she turned on him until Shinra saved her. And as I hear it She will get much stronger and I hope she does. The story is interesting but my only criticism is that plotlines took a little while to get me hooked, because there was little explanation and focus on Shinra's backstory then *bam* he joins the 8th Brigade. Since there was little focus on his POV and motivations from the beginning it took some time to for the story telling aspect to pick up and to get invested in.

 

Not much to say about the shipping, since things are pretty unsubtle bwtween Shinra and Tamaki. But he also shows some interest in Hibana and Iris too though he knows Iris is a full devoted nun and "won't lewd her" particularly

 

The exposition regarding the Pyrokinesis in the story is a bit confusing but at least the classifications are clear cut and I enjoy seeing the combination of second Gen and third Gen Fire users, although since it is all fire powers there is not much variation. Kind of wish there were more second/third gen hybrids like Benimaru.

 

Anyway I find it highly enjoyable over all. So I will support the series by buying the manga on my E-reader. I would buy the physical tankobon manga but I don't have a lot of room left at my place and I bought a lot of other manga already. Never the less, TAKE MY MONEY, Fire Force!!!!

So the other day, I forgot to read the latest chapters.

So far...

So this arc went to a comedy route with Arthur. The plasma sword broke and he wants to go on a quest to find orichalcum. Knowing that the legendary metal doesn't exist, Vulcan, Lisa and Yu tagged along, managed to convinced the village of Asakusa to play along. The quest led them to the Nether where they met up with Arthur's family (Arthur even has siblings...). The whole arc is stupid funny.

Side note I've reached chapter 152. Story is picking up damn well
