I think that I'm the only one that actually wants Sakura to die. Now before you guys start screaming like little children, hear me out.
When Shikaku died I was like "Who cares?", when Inoichi died the same "Who cares?" but when Neji died oh my god "Who cares?".
Seriously no one in this war that died was important. Now there's a possibility for a character that actually matters to die. YES.
I don't want her to die per se, but I otherwise agree that for a war arc that has lasted well over two years Naruto's side hasn't lost any really meaningful comrades. I don't mean to diminish how Naruto feels about them, but the audience didn't have particularly strong ties to any of them.
Let's see him off someone the audience really has an attachment to.
I just don't see Sasuke really being able to get into Kamui world without some major asspull. Kamui is Obito's special ability and Sasuke can't just copy special abilities like that. Like I said, even Madara needed Obito's eye to transport there. Even the Rinnegan can't just dimension hop unless this is just somehow a "new ability" Kishimoto will give Sasuke.
It really would be a huge asspull....even bigger asspull than the snake escape.
They uh...aerodynamic...yeah, we'll go with that...snake wing was a bigger ass pull.
I would prefer anything over Sasuke saving her. I mean, really. It is not even because of pairing moments or pairing wars at all, but simply from a story point of Sasuke going from trying to kill her to all of a sudden saving her is just ridiculous. I really really hope Kishimoto keeps Sasuke consistent for once.
Assuming she is the target (and not Obito)....
Someone mentioned in the spoiler thread that his fight against Madara will be used as part of the excuse of why he should be let back in, no strings attached, and I agree. However, he has not come back to the "good side" yet. It's a convergence of interests and Sasuke is still very Sasuke centric in his outlook. I suspect saving her will be an side-benefit to what he does rather than the main objective.
Stopping Madara would save her almost by default. His goal will be to stop Madara and he might save her as a result whereas if it were Naruto his objective would be to save her and thereby stop Madara.
I can't say I care if he saves her. Don't care what NH/SS will say about it and I doubt it'll do anything to move the needle on pairings. So, I can't get worked up about it.
Congrats Kishimoto. You one uped yourself on the eye surgery. It'll look swift and way too easy when Madara put the last eye in and now with just the swipe of hand he can remove someone else's and put it in his face in a matter of seconds (and use it freely, even Sasuke had sporadic and inconsistent use of Susanoo after getting Mangenkyou). It's even easier than before. I didn't think Kishimoto had it in him, but he did. Way to go.
