From what I remember, everyone in TWD is already infected with the zombie virus and so, aside from the usual turning through bites, scratches, etc, a person will end up coming back as a zombie no matter how they die (unless the brain is destroyed), whether it be from illness, being shot, etc.

Yep, whats ironic is that Doctors are the most needed in that world. And Im even doing a story which Naruto and Sakura end up in that world.
