Just stay out of the gaming scene, stick to greenlight and independent developers who knows their stuff.

I thought you were gonna say something about the fact that how when female gamers point out sexism within the whole gaming community, they suddenly have to fear for their safety, ie Anita Sarkeesian. But nope, just more rumor-mongering over something that definitely isn't the most depraved thing to happen in the name of journalism. Disappointing.

- Woman (Quinn) makes a flash based game (more of one of those text based choose your own adventure things) about battling depression
- The game receives critical acclaim from gaming journalist websites, and makes its way onto Steam
- Quinn's ex boyfriend releases chat logs about her cheating on him with various men
- Some of these men are key players in gaming journalism, and are responsible for the positive press Quinn's game received
- Mods of gaming forums including /r/gaming, /r/Games and 4chan's /v/ are removing all traces of this drama. At least one mod from /r/gaming talked to Quinn on Twitter beforehand.
Bonus drama: All of her contact information is doxxed, she accuses 4chan. 4chan denies it claiming all the threads are being deleted so there was no way to organize it. Some people are accusing Quinn of doing it to herself to play the victim. She's faked similar harassments in the past using her "contacts". Apparently the doxxed information was fake anyway.

The amount of subscribers and donation they get is unbelievable just because they show a bit of cleavage. So please, enlighten me, who is at fault?

I dont know what i know is that many people despises it and it started since they bought up feminism to games like complaining to developers why they dont make female characters and such, the last is why they arent making a female assissin on "Assassin's creed unity", to be completely honest, gaming is now dying where good games are being overshadowed by nonsense like that.

Even though I'm fifteen, I grew up with 90' and 00' games and I miss them. 

 

Witcher shows promise, there is Destiny on consoles and The Division from Ubisoft. Other than that, nothing more than pure console bs.

I was going to say something to respond to this, but I have decided against it seeing...you know, nevermind that part....Let's just say people like to walk a tight-rope a lot and any sudden movement could potentially be your downfall.

I will say this...up to about 20 years ago words had meaning. They had power and what those words were stood for a lot and people took them seriously. Now....we just throw these words around so casually that I feel people don't even know what they mean anymore. It's easy just to say or accuse something and make yourself part of the problem and not the solution. I am being so ambiguous right now that most would probably not understand what I mean...the more keen eyed ones probably will...I don't know.

Do you remember when games to be about fun and take you away from the drama instead of just causing more of it? I miss those days.

Again, why do you care? Why does anyone care? If she did cheat on her boyfriend, sure, that's bad. It shouldn't be getting all this attention. And do you really think that this is some isolated case? Do you really think that gaming journalism was some squeaky clean place where nepotism, unfair advantages, and bribery didn't already happen? That's pretty naive.
