Exactly my thoughts, but as far as I have come to know kishi, Naruto will somehow magically forget that sakura confessed to sasuke and he will confess or accept the sudden appearance of love feelings of sakura.
I really liked how naruto rejected sakura in LOI, because he really deserves better than false confession or being a second guy. But in the end he will become a second guy Thanks to kishi's sh*tty romance handling.

NaruSaku has always been a bit of a rebound romance.

I know that most would considere it negative, but I like that sort of thing personally.

So ... does anyone have any guesses on how Naruto will accept a love confession from Sakura now? His confidence on Sakura loving him over Sasuke right now had to go from 0.000005% to 0.000001% after 693.

 

I keep trying to find a realistic scenario for this and I keep coming up empty.

hmmm . it is kinda confusing about who will do the first move but after 693 .i guess its sakura.  

 

whether  sakura meant she loves sasuke in a romantic way or not in 693 .  naruto  thinks its romantic  . he ll bring back sasuke  and complete his promise to sakura .  and now he leaves it to sakura to choose . cause he know sakura has feelings for him (469)  and  she still has feelings for sasuke  as he thinks ( 693)    and maybe a little time skip  and then sakura confess to him again   and tells him i dont love sasuke in a romantic way any more  .its just u. .   .. its like the after war of LadyGT.(i hope so)..  and i agree for naruto  its all or nothing .. thats one way .i guess

As syn11 said, there won't be a second of two choices, there will be one right choice. Naruto won't be the second choice regardless.

I usually don't like yuri, but Naruto is one of the few fictions I can ship lesbian couples in, considering how mistreated females are by their male love interest...

I really think it would be useful to make a list of negative NS cliché/stereotypes and disprove each of them just for the sake of our fandom... as a prevention method against shipping depression and masochistic tendencies. . I dont think witnesses are necessary and besides naruto wouldnt allow anyone to interfare just like pain war. So its kinda good that not much people than team 7 are there.
