She lost because she was inflexible in her thought process. She knows only Route A, and never considers any other possibilities. It's essentially the biggest flaw in Azami's plan, he's teaching the entire school to Make food only one way, not taking into consideration the individuals. It's why I find the entire arc a pain, because Azami's thinking is dumb....Seriously why would someone who worshiped Jouchirou, who worked daily to evolve his cooking style and surpass the boundaries of what's possible, be so hell bent on making clones...to a point he built an empire abroad, abused his daughter to further his plans, and who knows what else just to get his revenge. It's more stupid than Sasuke's plan to kill everyone in his village to honour is brother who died to protect the people of said village...or to gain world peace my ruling over everyone like a dictator....actually on second thoughts, Sasukes' is still more ridiculous.

I agree with you. But one still has to step back and realize she lost because of room temperature wasn't right, is still pretty weak.
Also if you look at the story it really is a battle between capitalism/free market and Marxism/socialism/Totalitarianism.
The school tries to show the harshness of the business world to their students. Where in theory anyone with the talent and/or drive can rise high and succeed. But because it has become such an elite school -because of all the successful famous chefs that have passed through their halls- a lot of the student are from very wealthy elite families who thought they could just coast through the school. They end up failing and thinks its unfair (granted the school is going over board in their strictness). Then comes a group of people that agree with them that it is unfair, and that in order to make it fair & equal there needs to be a "Central" organization/government to control everything, normally controlled by a single party. Which decides on what is right and what is wrong. As well as remove what is wrong which includes: dissidents, rebels, opponents, enemies of the central organization, independents organizations that are not run by central organization, and so on.

That last page with the foodgasm felt completely out of place, I know I've been saying that the foodgasms have felt more PG in recent months which make it seem like the dishes don't have the same impact as before, but that last page just felt forced, she'd already tried the dish before and wasn't stripped, but soon as she accepted defeat she just stripped, despite the fact that from the sounds of it, if the conditions were perfect, her dish would have very likely won out or at the very least both their dished would have been better.
I wonder if it was just put in, because there were more people like like me complaining the foodgasms lacked impact, and they threw that in at the end. Though it's not the stripping part that's matters, but the impact of the dish it portrays, it doesn't even have to be them stripping, it's just has to portray the quality of the dish.

So Terunori is going to fight Eishi. You know by how the other ten council members talk about each other skills of the second year council members he probably the weakest, and may even be the weakest of the original 10.
Ranking going off possible skill level while leaving the third years where they were: 1st Eishi Tsukasa, 2nd Rindou Kobayashi, 3rd Tosuke Megishima (rebel), 4th Momo Akanegakubo, 5th Soumei Saitou, then 6th would be Satoshi Isshiki (rebel), as his rival let give Nene Kinokuni the 7th seat, 8th would go to Etsuya Eizan if he focus a bit more on his cooking instead of the business side, Erina Nakari (rebel) has the god's tongue so let's say she is 9th, then 10th would go to Terunori Kuga (rebel).
It also looks like for the rebels it will be Tosuke, Kuga, and Subaru. As for Central we know Eishi probably going to battle Kuga (which Eishi will win), Subaru having to fight his old boss Eizan sound interesting (he'll probably lose but good for his growth as a character), and I don't think Rindou is coming out yet so Tosuke and Soumei sounds interesting they should be close enough in skill (having central sweep after the rebel did their sweep sounds bland so hopes Tosuke wins).
After that leaves Eishi, Rindou, Momo, and Eizan for central. While The Rebels will have Tosuke, Satoshi, Eirina, Souma, Takumi, and Megumi.

Round Two starts, and I don't think we can all see how this round will end up going.

Huh? I was wrong about them sending out Eizen. And the match will be Saitou Vs Sabaru. Eishi v Kugu and Rindou v Tosuke. Please don't be a central sweep to match the rebel sweep from last time, that too predictable.

Oh it's Happening especially because they sent out Rindou and Eishi, Saito versus Subaru might be able to go either way but we'll see.

Rindou is the one I'm looking forward to the most, she fits very much into the Jouchirou mold, where I can see her taking the number one seat, but she just can't be bothered with the paperwork involved, (though her agreeing to Azami's regime still doesn't make sense to me, she seems very much like the worst fit for that regime.) Even though it's against the former number 3 seat I'm expecting a win for Rindou here.
I can't see copycat stalker winning his match, his opponent looks like someone who would not be phased out by those tactics at all.
As for Kuga, let's be honest here, he might be a hot head like Souma but I don't think he has the nerves and ability to beat the number one seat at all.
How many rounds are there going to be in the first place? Is it going to go on until one side has no member remaining, or will there be a set number of rounds, and down to who wins the most rounds?

To me, those 3 represent the 3 things a chef must have: Skill (Megishima), Talent (Erina), Vision/Creativity (Soma)
The family that couldn't be.

I don't exactly understand Erina's reasoning here. If you really look at the situation, throwing one or two matches is actually the ideal move here. I can understand trying to keep up the momentum, but the rebels are risking losing their best weapon early in the game. Quite frankly, the best match-up to face Rindou and Eishi is Soma, Erina and Megishima.

I wouldn't have minded seeing Eishi vs Erina, one person who knows how to get the best out of his ingredient and the other who can use her tongue to know exactly what a dish needs to get it's maximum taste.
Come to think of it have we seen Erina in a proper Shokugeki? We've seen her perform well, and we've seen her analyze other dishes and offer her critique, but have we seen her in a battle where we've seen how she operates?

You add that with Soma's vision and the skills that brought Megishima all the way to 3rd seat, and you have a strong chance of beating them.
The family that couldn't be.
