Naruto: Not so fast, Sasuke. I am going to stop you!!!

Sakura:Same here.*Naruto and Sasuke looks at her determined face.

Naruto: No, Sakura this is my fight. Besides I don't think you would fight the guy you love.

Sakura:No, Naruto this is our fight. I told you before, we'll both bring Sasuke back. And I don't love Sasuke anymore.

Naruto:What?

Sakura: I want to bring him back but after betraying us and trying to kill me I don't love him anymore. Now let's kick his ass.

The entire final volume of Naruto was a mess.

Agreed that is why I conside volume 71 as the true final volume of the series.

I think printing 2 million book for the watcher of the movie is a desperate move.
Perhaps you can tell me what is succed for this movie?

Got the gist of the Gaiden (I refuse to read any of this garbage). I can't say I'm surprised at anything that happened. Once again Kishimoto's crappy plotlines shines again. This whole mini-arc was pointless. Pointless drama about Sarada's real mom and did nothing but stomp over shells of the characters (except for Karin, which was the most amazing thing out of this).

There were pointless scenes strongly indicating Karin as the mother but it's all false because reasons. SS love is supposed to be accepted through words and Sasuke's "We had you" line because banana. I guess I live in a wacky universe where real marriages are deeper than a absentee party and a child between you. Whoops, my mistake. Better check myself into a mental institution.

Literally the only consistent thing I can even slightly appreciate is Sasuke. He's the only character that's the same. He leaves with no f***s given, doesn't even show Sakura any deep affection except in they apparently had a child and calls her "wife". SS is supposed to be canon, yet their execution is more laughable than NH. Literally nothing really changed in their relationship. Their execution is so bad, for all I know Sasuke could've just donated sperm, impregnated her with his Sharingan, married Sakura out of pity or Karin might really be the real mother and they just covered it up because Sakura's "better" for Sasuke. Lmao, this is the first couple I've ever seen that's canon has these loveless possibilities and they're all still plausible. :lmao:

This is just a joke. Truly a joke. Why is this gaiden even called "Naruto"? It should be called "Sasuke Gaiden", like the original series should've been named "Sasuke". He gets everything, gets AWAY with everything, 99.999% of the plot revolves around him, and all Naruto got was a empty Hokage position and a wife he was guilt-tripped into marrying. All Naruto ever was was a tool to Sasuke's journey. Nothing more, nothing less, and that's the sad truth.

Sales and profit. It's all about the money, dear... I'm not an expert in these kind of things, but anything money related is always the easiest measurements of any product released to the public.

The Last, being *the most* successful Naruto franchise's movie *only* made about USD 14.76 million in Japan by December last year (checkout Wikipedia).

I made a post to compare with other movies released within the same year in other thread. Metantei Conan made about USD 36 million, the recent Dragon ball made about USD 49 million. Hayao Miyazaki's Wind Rises made about USD 113 million --the highest grossing movie in Japan in 2013, with a budget of USD 30 million. For Wind Rises to pass USD 100 million, it needs to attract ~8.1 million viewers in ~50+ days.

Now let's ask ourselves, after what the studio treated the fans with The Last, what's the odd surpassing The Last in terms of ticket sold?

Remember that when The Last premiered, this new movie has probably almost completed. Otherwise they wouldn't advertise it at the end of the movie credits, wouldn't they?

The desperate 2 million copies manga promo tell us one thing: that they need at least this much viewers to cover (or recover) some costs. Now suddenly those rumors about The Last didn't cover its production cost suddenly makes sense. People even associate the anime quality degradation produced by SP for other series are associated with the flop.

Here's a food for thought: The Last didn't even had 2 million viewers.

Will the new movie be successful? God only knows...

So i've been wondering why dragon ball kai stop after cell saga. After little browsing, it is revealed because bad sales and low rating. The only thing that getting remake is the intro and ending music. Except that everything is same old art. Thats why fans mad about it.

I'm just gonna wait until i heard this WONDERFUL news ...

Dragon Ball Kai didn't stop after the Cell saga, it has the Buu saga too and currently there is a sequel airing, called Dragon Ball Super

Yes, lets not forget that in the last movie, people who buy the ticket can't get refund and a lot fans who watch it in theater is leaving early before the movie finish. Just imagine if they allow refunds ... i bet they go bankrupt AT THAT TIME. I heard 70% of naruto fans in japan was in rage.
