Very nice move to get the voice cast of the animated series on board.

Batman: Free Flow Combat
Also, not only will we be graced with the remarkable voice overs of Kevin Conroy and the beloved Mark Hamill, Paul Dini shall be writing the plot for this game. It definitely seems based more on what is considered the classic Batman, the detective who can kick butt as well. And of course, the Joker is back to full form. Just my opinion, but I did not like the Heath Ledger Joker in "The Dark Knight". Didn't like the movie at all, to tel the truth. But here it seems Mark Hamill brings back the crazy, fun-loving, Clown Prince of Crime we all know and love. And that laugh sends chills down my spine even to this day.
But yeah, that's the basic run down. Seems like a MGS inspired game in terms of play, but obviously with a lot more combat then MGS. Look at the video on stealth combat. They like to call it "Invisible Predator" but regardless of the name, it looks pretty cool.
Keep an eye out for it. hopefully it won't disappoint.

"Empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless, like water. Now, you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water in a bottle, it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow, or it can crash. Be water my friend." - Bruce Lee

my guess is late August to early September
as for the demo, i played in a challenge map which focuses on combat so no stealth gameplay. You start off in a room facing a few of the Jokers henchmen, you fight them by punching and kicking them along with uisng the batarang, you can also stun them with his cape. the key to beating them is learning to use the counter button, whenever a blue indicator flashes over their heads, you press counter and he'll do just that, it really comes in handy since after every round more thugs are added to the mix and you only recover a bit of your health. so all in all I think the cobat is solid, and now I see what the stealth aspect of this game is like. btw, heres a video of the demo to get a better idea of what I was playing

As a huge, huge fan of Batman, I'd expect nothing less than the best for my all time favorite character.
On top of that, this is good news for another game. The Ghostbusters game won't have to compete with Arkham Asylum for sales in the month of June. Both look fantastic and I want them both to sell well. Not having to compete with a big Batman game gives Ghostbusters a much better chance. So in an inadvertant way, I think the delay is going to work out for the best.

Anyways, yes, Harley Quinn in a hot Nurse outfit and a scantily clad Ivy
Playing the Joker should be interesting, though I don't think we'd be able to use the Batmobile damn it XD
Anybody know if the Joker is exclusive for PS3? Or is it simply a free download for the PS3 and not the Xbox?
