Seeing Sasuke save her from a rapey situation, I honestly just feel nothing. Not even the slightest bit of cringe. Just nothing now. 

 

I don't really like how she looks though. I guess it's the prominent eye lines. She looks old. And tired. And worn out. Much like Naruto itself is.

...Looks at the images...Huh, you are right, they do make her look tired. Then again, compared to Ikemoto's art which, Therece is comparing it to, she looks amazing. Helps the face isn't constantly morphing into a different shape each panel.

Yes and the artist of the other side manga Natsuo Sai is also able to copy the feel of Kishimoto's style as well. So, did many of the anime staff since kishi intentionally made his art style easy to copy.

 

Ikemoto problem is he doesn't want to do it either because he wants to do his own thing or he is lazy.

 

Again, I'm just seeing this as over praising for something really basic.

If Ikemoto's choose to create and drawn his own style instead of replicate Kishimoto's art. It's simply a dumb decision.
Ikemoto's style doesn't work for the Naruto series.
Suits more in something like a mafia manga.

You can't expect to continue the second biggest manga franchise  in the history with something too diferent compared to the Original.

You could feel reading something REALLY related to Naruto in this art which isn't how I feel while reading Boruto.
 Anyway not even changing the artist can save Boruto now. At this point would be just a good packing in a pile of kitten. Boruto is just  a sci fi story with alliens and androids who is using Naruto's name.

Another thing that pisses me off about SasuSaku is that it is so UNEARNED. You two have ZERO CHEMISTRY and have shown ZERO character development together that gets you to this point! No slow buildup or anything that gets Sasuke to the point of being this comfortable around Sakura. All of this is simply shoved down on our throats. Even something as simple as Sasuke showing some degree of HESITATION during one of the several times he attempted to MURDER her would be something, but no. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Such terrible writing.

Hell, at least Toriyama gets around the randomness of Vegeta x Bulma by initially making it a short fling from a one night stand and slowly showing them play off each other's personalities. Sakura is literally not allowed to be herself around Sasuke and neither ever plays off the other's personality. They are just there. Sadly, neither Naruto nor Hinata are ever shown playing off each other's personalities either.🤮

(Nobody cares about Karin aside from using her to make Sasuke stay away from Sakura or troll SasuSaku)

I'm certain SasuSaku fans hates as well Sasuke and Sakura in Kage Summit. Even most of the Sakura's fans hated her being used as damsel in distress and the Fake confession in this arc.

But the vast of majority of SasuSaku popularity come from part 1.
So Sasuke's sorry and the Forehead Poke was enough to SasuSaku fans pardon Sasuke, just like it was for Sakura.

Also  Happy Pink Girl and Angry Emo Boy chemistry.

I don't care how popular sasusaku among the sasuke and female ships it's still a toxic and problematic relationship that should never have happened. He can show sasuke has changed without having him hook up with someone, heck he did that with fricking gaara.

I have seen plenty of sasusaku fans love that scene because he supposedly went truly dark at that moment, completely ignoring he did the same to karin earlier. Or they go on about how that was just sasuke doing "self-defence" because sakura was trying to kill him. If they had any self respect they should of said that while they may like it, but they should not be canon and just enjoy fanon instead.

The problem with the land of iron confession scene is that there was no follow up scene to adress what was she actually lying about and what was she being honest about. Which should be clearly not being fully over sasuke, but clearly falling for naruto.

I don't care how popular the ship was in part 1, part 2 they don't have the same relationship or interactions as they are a lot more negative to the point he tried to kill her. In fact by the end of part 1 he rejected her. Nor does the apology or forehead poke good enough to ignore all of baggage that ship has.

Also good girl Bay tropes sucks and they had no chemistry.

Kishimoto didn't want to show any glimpse of Sasuke's feelings for Sakura  before Sasuke x Naruto since this could ruin the most expected manga battle. i'm surprised he did the 685 chapter with Sasuke catching Sakura.

Probably he tried to drag out all the big Three pairings (SS/NS/NH) fans until the very end of the Story. Maybe this explain why SasuSaku was resolved literally in the last chapter.

Sasuke was always a key factor in this love triangle.
If Sasuke loved Sakura back, SasuSaku is pretty much official, NaruSaku is dead and Naruto is free to have Hinata as his second Prize.

If Sasuke refused Sakura and helped she to see her true feelings.   Most likely Naruto will get his wishes fulfilled. After all Sakura is a better match for Naruto than Hinata.

Also this a Shounnen Battle Manga. Romance and pairing development aren't the focus. Kishimoto  thought the Forehead Poke  and NaruHina handholding scene was enough to show the couples without any doubting about the Boys feelings...

 

Anyway if Karin had at least half of SS/NH or Hinata popularity. I'm certain Kishimoto could had done NS/SK route. NS would hurt  two big fanbases while SS/NH only hurt NS.

MangaPlus published the chapter earlier. Original date also was 2/12. They realized their Mistake and removed.

I'm a Sakura Fan. But i don't mind SS, NS, Ino or Tsunade as long Sakura is doing something.   Although I prefer originally preferred NS. It's been 8 years since the ship sunken.
Also I'm simply don't deny SS popularity and some development the pairing had from Part 1. C'mon guys the pairing popularity, thousends of fanarts,fics and their fans don't come from nowhere or Kage Summit arc.

Also the most interesting thing in the chapter isn't the SS scene
But the Tsunade mention and finally some Tsunade/Sakura relationship as a Master and Student.
I know who much sensitive some NS fans are here and put spoiler Tag from SS...

For a manga that doesn't focus on romance and pairing development, he sure spent a significant amount of time on it with respect to the pairing that did not happen. He can do whatever wants; it's his manga. But my issue is (and always will be) good and bad writing. Pairings/relationships are utterly meaningless; the question should always be how something enhances the quality of the story. I would submit to you that NS fits the themes and respective character arcs of the original 700 chapter manga better than any other pairing. As for karin, she comes across as someone solely created for the sake of being in Sasuke's new team/posse. Whether they got together would not have affected the story, but I can see potential sequel scenarios it would have helped.

Since you're simply a Sakura fan, let me ask you a question: If a new Sakura focused side manga came out and the manga exclusively consisted of Sakura dating Orochimaru, Sakura gaining significant amounts of weight and Sakura getting a sex change, would you be happy about the new content simply on the basis that it was new Sakura content?

Can only speak for myself, but had no issue with your posting. Any vitriol I would have I would direct at the manga publisher for reminding me that Naruto exists while I'm trying to live my best life.
