He has another job working as the chief editors of another one of shueisha magazines. So why should he demote himself just to work on this failing knock off? It is beneath him. Now, Kishimoto is the supervisor in hopes that it would convince fans to stay, By making them believe that he is still keeping an eye on this knock off. That reviewer thunderlord-or-whatever even said at best what kishimoto might be doing: "walks in looks around says "OK guys good work" and leaves." And he is a nH fan.

Not a lol blow as it may seem. His work inspired many despite the ending of the original manga, and one of the worse betrayals by a single in history of literature and comics. and perhaps freshmeat authors--rather they support Kishi or hate him--to become authors such as my self. We can hate how much credit Kishi will get from all of this. That's what makes him legendary. And I think we know the negative side of his legendary status as a mangaka

He stop caring because he was overrun by NHers and wanted out of Naruto and away from his Shuiesha/SJ coworkers. I will not be surprise that his assistants and editors are no longer working with him at his studio.

I actually read that NaruSaku WAS supposed to happen. A guy I've been talking with on Fanfiction said he found some of the original artwork or something along those lines. He's looking for the source again, so I'll try and get it linked soon. 

 

If Kishi were to come out and say "Yes, NaruSaku was supposed to happen" then it would be NH/SS worst nightmare come true. Part of me has to believe that he was just put under pressure. He was surrounded by NH fans, and it wouldn't have been a fun time for him if he'd made NS the final pairing. Heck, maybe they wouldn't have even let him publish the final chapter if he didn't make it NH and SS

 Also agreed   It DOES hold some power but it will amount to nothing in the end is what I mean. why would fans care that he plastered his name on any sequel to a series that he "ruined"?Again I'm not dismissing your point because it is perfectly valid. I am just playing devil's advocate on what it would truly amount to. People that know the truth knows he let himself be played like a puppet so it wouldn't make a difference to them if he supposedly to supervised this series anymore than an "unknown person"

I have multiple coworker friends that hate the ending with a passion and dislike it for the same reasons we do, ones that never cared for pairings and wanted to see the story follow through, so all those pro enders not believing there are people outside the internet fandom who hate the ending and that their ending is so perfect,  in your face xD

cool, i wish i could see the original art work. some people are so lucky :( i don't know what to type in to look for it. i tried "naruto ending original artwork","original final chapter of naruto", "true final chapter of naruto" but google search engine NEVER gets to the point and shows what i'm looking for.

Yeah, he still hasn't gotten back to me yet. I don't know if he was bluffing, or if he's just having a hard time finding the site again. To be fair, it's hard to find stuff when things just get buried in google or whatever.

"Also came across some supposed original artwork for the last two chapters and it was, according to what I read, to actually be Sakura and Naruto. The art work has Sakura and their daughter at not Neji's grave but Minato and Kushina's graves with almost the same dialogue. Don't know if it's all true or not but if it is, then as we thought, they sold out to make the Hinata fans happy."

That still makes so little sense. I mean, Hinata had like...10% of the screen time Sakura did, and Naruto and Sakura had the most development. It's like he wanted to give himself the finger as well as the entire series.

Most of the interviews are staged. We all know that Kishi does not pity Hinata. He does not give a kitten about her at all. Its just a lame old excuse that prevents him for telling the truth that he gave up on the franchise because he wanted out of it for 8 years and the NH fans at Shuiesha gave him an ultimatum either makes NH/SS canon or he continues, dragging out the original manga.
