Hey , you are a nice member of this fandom and helped us a lot with translations .And I understand that you already came to terms with this crap . However , some of us are still trying to cope with this idiocy of an ending and this is the only place I can come to and be at peace from NH and SS BS . So , if it's not too much to ask , please change your  SS signature , at least for a few more days . Or just don't post anymore , like you always intended to do in the first place . I am sure you have good intentions, but it really is not helping you trying to even justify this ending either . If you really do love the NS fandom as much as you claim , then please at least change that signature , it is just awful .

I understand where you're coming from Kaguya-hime, and I agree with your mindset: it's better to accept reality and move on. I'll accept the fact that this is the ending that Kishi has chosen and there's nothing anyone can do to change it. But what I won't accept is me trying to convince my better judgement that maybe this was a good ending. It was not a good ending. It was misogynistic and disgusting and I found it degrading towards women. When a person threatens your life and the lives of everyone you love and then try's to kill you on multiple occasions, and regards your entire human worth as useless, you really shouldn't end up marrying that person and starting a family with them. I understand that forgiveness is important, and it's okay to forgive but it's never okay to forget. So what Kishi did to Sakura is disgusting and I'll never accept that this was the right course of action for her. I only wanted the best for her and when I saw her genuinely being happy and smiling all the time when she was around Naruto, I logically thought that they should end up together. So even if Kishi portrays Sakura as "happy" with her new family within the manga, I know realistically she wouldn't be. But it's not only Sakura but all the females have been reduced to nothing but housewives. This is what people mean when they say that Kishi is sexist. I personally don't believe that he's sexist, but just very traditional in the sense of Japanese culture. But that isn't the way things are in Japan anymore. It's 2014 and he should evolve with the times.

Maybe so, but better to be a stay at home mom for someone like Naruto than for Sasuke (even if Sasuke is my favorite character). And you should be able to have whatever signature you want and shouldn't have to change it for anyone.

Congratulation for sakura and hinata. Both of them getting the boys that they loves the most....

But, look at the brighter side, guys...
kishi 'loves' his heroines so much...even hinata also have a fighting moment eventhough its not as epic as sakura vs sasori...

In his mindset right now,
woman = romance, man = the hero, action...

Still ships narusaku thoughh...lol

I don't think her signature was the actual deal, but the fact that some of our members became NH-SS fans and then started to defending them above NS. They have every right to ship whatever they want, but it's just painful to see it after this ending. Especially being a NaruSaku sanctuary -kinda-.

I'm sorry. But Naruto is my favorite character. But he got the saddest damn ending out of the whole series. He achieved nothing and it hurt me to seem him put up that fake ass smile and that look he gave Sasuke in chapter 699 showed it all. Look at how Naruto was looking at Sakura-Chan with that look in his eyes because he thought she might have chose him, but instead Naruto was like a leaf in the wind to her and it killed me to see my favorite character get the saddest ending. I wish he could have got his girl for real, because Naruto to me deserved a chance from her and he will always love her. And the worst part of it all was that the hyperactive ninja who never gives up, GAVE UP!!! Wtf? And the main character was a damn delivery boy. KISHI is on some type of drug that the world ain't seen yet it's obvious. Naruto was supposed to have his girl, not a girl he doesn't love. It really hurt me because to me it seemed like he just ain't satisfied.

Honestly I believe since Naruto was a success, they needed a convenient way to make his son act out and be just like Naruto was.  It was out of character for Naruto to act as he did, but Chapter 700 literally portrayed all of Konaha out of character.  Most are saying it's a bad ending because its plot holes, that is true.  The pairing thing honestly means little, what matters is the lack of character development building up to those pairings.  Sakura and Hinata, and many female characters were not fleshed out and flat.  In the end of the day, this manga is targeted to boys, and it became about the male characters.  It's not like we did not see this coming.

 

Is Kishimoto intentionally a sexist?

 

No, it appears to be normal in Japan in terms of animes or mangas to portray females this way.  You are expected to hang up your career the moment you become pregnant. Dragon Ball, Bleach, and One Piece seriously undermined female characters as well.  Generally Shonen appear to be quite toxic, and even beyond Shonen, beyond Japan, you see the struggle to portray a strong protagonist female character that is not simply a plot device or a love interest.

 

With time, things will change.  But I believe many of us deluded ourselves into thinking perhaps maybe Kishimoto would change things and finally redeem Sakura and his other female characters.  

 

But in the end of the day even he has a boss.  And in the case of Naruto, despite him retiring...the show will go on.

It was a good ending even though it didnt end like we wanted it to. Naruto will always be a piece in me. Are people able to see we lost now maybe? It was about time lol. Thanks to all of you for the journey we had together. Last time posting here. Not gonna stay in the past, time to stop worring about manga couples and make my own love story in reality. Peace people

I don't see it that way, they just want some attention from their dad, but it doesn't mean they're not taking good care of their child as some people here said. Plus Naruto's Hokage so he's very busy and Boruto is just doing the same as Konohamaru and Naruto when they wanted some attention on them. No one is unhappy here, they're all live a happy life even if it's hard to admit for some NS fans. Maybe those who don't like the ending can imagine the couples and the kids being not very happy, but the truth is that they are. There is no proof to give, it's the end, everyone is happy. Period. It's always like that. 

Also, I didn't see Boruto calling Naruto "sh**tty dad". Maybe I missed that one. But still, I won't change my mind and think "Oh they're not as happy as they would have been if NS was the endgame", because I know that's what most of the NS fans are thinking since the release of 699/700. 

No. It's not about that. Of course we would have like to see NS to be the end game. And of course we believe they would have been "more happy" because aren't we NS fans after all? But that's not the deal. The deal is that... being THIS the end, Kishimoto should have show us everyone living an incredible happy life. For more unrealistic it can be, that's what Naruto deserved and what is supposed to be the end of an story. Elements of the people not being happy with their life just can't be there. That's like...the rule. And it's not just SS or NH, it's almost everyone else who look out of place or not conformed with their life. Except the older ones or well, Lee, who never changes.

The thing is, you can be a wife, take care of your children, clean your house and have a career. But it seems Sasuke is never home. So, Sakura can't focus in other things. She is indeed reduced to only being a housewife.
