~sigh~ I originally wasn't going to comment on this, but I can see where this is going.

@Catsi: Before you or any of your Democrat friends even bother trying to counter Night Hawk's post, you should probably know who he actually is. I was his roommate when he was going to college, and therefore, I know him very well. I don't pay a lot of attention to politics so I don't know a whole lot about the stuff that's going on right now. However, Night Hawk (Dalton) does, and he is very knowledgeable when when it comes to topics like Strategy, politics, military expansion, and so on. Far more knowledgeable than any person I've ever met before.

What you and username 'Illnevergiveup' said about people being safe behind your computers...know the person before you say that kitten like that. Yes, it's true that the internet is full of people who are all talk and no bite, but I guarantee you Dalton is a different story. He has nothing but hatred towards Terror groups, N. Korea, or anybody who would seek to do harm to the U.S in general. He is an excellent strategist, and has proven it many, many times through chess, military simulations, and numerous other things. Unlike a lot of people these days, he has also been gifted with common sense. He's a history major, and has studied almost every topic he could find on WWII and General Patin and his strategies.

You think he couldn't do what Obama's doing? Anybody can go on vacations and play Golf. If you think Dalton wouldn't have the courage to be a better president...you're a fool. In the position of President of the United States, he would be a terrorists worst nightmare. Same could be said for the liberal population as well That's all I'm gonna say on the matter.

BULLCRAP. I am so sick fo this vacation bullcrap. hes taken less vacation then any prior president in the last 50 years. Katrina rolls in and that moron bosh is takes 3 weeks to respond to it.

Sos top with the false equivalency vacation bullcrap. Hed have to take the last year and half of his term off to even come close to Wubyas total vacation time and the last 2 and half years to come close to Reagan and Wubyas com biend.

And for strategy I know ti well too. I was in the military I served. The nonsense of nates post aside which I completely disagree with form start to finish. I never agreed with the Iraq war, it was a farce from the beginning. Base don a lie and deliberate misinformation.

The president has taken steps to stop ISIL, hes working ona  plan that doesn't involve americans dieing. And all people can do is complain.

That's what my complaint is. All im hearing is a bunch of beltway nonsense.

You have idiots like Mccain saying that ISIL is the greatest threat to the USA, and that we need to support Assad against ISIL. This mere months after sayig that Assad was the greatest threat to the US and we had to support the rebels who turned out to be ISIL in the first place.

We have mailiki removed form power and the Iraqi army beginning to fight back, we have actual coalition support for a change instead of us acting alone and unilateraly, and ISIL has actualy started taking losses.

Well, that and Turkey (and its government) used to considerably more oriented to the West. That has changed significantly over the last 15 or so years.

I dont think so, i use to lurk on krautchan and a lot of turkish guys told me that, the only secular government more oriented ot the west was during 1950s until they were overthrow by a military coup on 1960.

The true reason why they want to remove assad is because assad is pro-russian and is the "last" bastion of russian influence on the mediterran.

The whole arab spring is a farce, dictatorship governments being overthrow by radical islamic movements.

Even so, he's using taxpayer's money to do so. If he wants a vacation he can use his own money rather than robbing people of their own!

Don't even think about comparing him to anyone else, especially Reagan. He actually did his job and would be a thousand times better than Obama on his worst day. I don't mind if a president goes on vacation so long as they've actually done something to deserve it...which Obama hasn't. He blames Bush for everything and never takes the blame himself. It is ONLY because of Obama's promised 'change' that this country in on a path directly to Hell.

The nonsense of nates post

What nonsense? How about you make a counter rather than taking the easy way out. Oh, right, you're probably a democratic liberal and can't argue with facts. Everything Nate said was EXACTLY spot on. And your comment on that matter also makes me believe you're on of the morons who think 911 was an inside job. Pfft. Typical.

All im hearing is a bunch of beltway nonsense.

Of course you are. That's all liberals ever hear when people disagree with them and don't see their point of view.

You have idiots like Mccain saying that ISIL is the greatest threat to the USA, and that we need to support Assad against ISIL. This mere months after sayig that Assad was the greatest threat to the US and we had to support the rebels who turned out to be ISIL in the first place.

Islamic extremists in general are a threat to the U.S. Plain and simple. What other place other than the Middle East and possibly N. Korea do we see people burning the American and Israeli flag? If people want to get rid of terrorism, they need to stop kittening about what the terrorists are doing and shove some shells down their throats and send them back to their caves. Drop the racism crap, drop the thought of making peace with them, and wipe them out. Problem solved.

The president has taken steps to stop ISIL, hes working ona  plan that doesn't involve americans dieing. And all people can do is complain.

Oh, you mean drone strikes? Worked real well with Iran hacking into one didn't it?

And for strategy I know ti well too. I was in the military I served

What branch and regiment? Which war were you active during? Every single vet, retired or still active I've talked to DESPISE Obama. They hate him with a passion. You're the only exception I've come across. Hell, even when Obama tried giving a speech a bunch of vets here recently, they didn't even applaud him.

Let me ask you something. Why do you try so hard to defend him? What has he done for you and this country other than weaken it? What makes him so much better than any president we've had in the past?

~sigh~ I originally wasn't going to comment on this, but I can see where this is going.

Leave that place forever, tell americans journalists to not go there, evacuate christian iraqis and let the arabs kill each other.

Well, I would be more inclined to advocate for something like that if the motives of ISIS and other extremist groups were limited to killing each other.  I'm not willing to watch their jihad spread to the US or anywhere else, although it's arguable that its spread is already covertly in progress.

Just because we go away doesn't mean ISIS won't make themselves the West's problem. I think openly saying no boots on the ground was dumb. Why announce that even if you believe it and ISIS may force the issue on their own.

To borrow a term from former Governor Romney, the dumb and self-defeating announcements began with Obama's first term "apology tour."  It just didn't end there.

Regardless of the investment of dollars, ~4500 American lives, and continued destabilization in the region, Obama withdrew troops from Iraq and created a power vacuum that has since been filled by ISIS.  That something like that would happen should not have come as a surprise.  And yet just a few days ago Obama announced that, beyond airstrikes, he has no real strategy.

With the anniversary of 9/11 coming up, the US doing nothing about its open borders, news that control of a dozen commercial jets has been seized by Islamist militants in Libya, and Obama has recently lifted the 30-year ban on Libyans getting flight training in the US....?

Yes, it's great to hear the president has no strategy.  That's forward-thinking, decisive leadership at its best.

Although my opinion on this matter is very clear I preffer not share it to not add more fuel to the fire. So I will settle on grieving for the loss of innocent lives.

Anyway it is ironical. Several months ago I was reading an old G. I. Joe issue published in the Eighties. In that comic-book the Joes were spying on a Middle-Eastern dictator that commanded an army of radical zealots and was backed by a Terror group.

I hope that nobody thinks that I am treating this matter frivolously by talking about an old child cartoon. I brought it up because people tells that reality is stranger than fiction... but it is worse when fiction seems anticipating reality or shows that things have not changed after all. In the Back to the Future, after nearly getting killed by Lybian terrorists Doc chooses traveling twenty years in the future. Yes... please, tell us how different is the future world.
