So, we've finally made it to the year 2012. The year 2011 was filled with many national and global catastrophes and financial disasters. Many people have looked upon all that has and is happening in our world as 'the sign' that the fabled date of December 21st, 2012 will be the 'End Date' for our world. There are many theories as to how the 'end of the world' will come to pass. And there are also many who don't believe that anything will happen on December 21st, and the world will continue on as it always has on December 22nd. This thread will serve as a place for us all to watch, monitor, talk, debate, and come together as we all watch to see what happens in this year leading up to the 21st. Will more catastrophic natural disasters happen? Will a war break out that is so intense it brings most of the world into it, triggering another World War and with it bring about a nuclear disaster? Will the financial markets further implode on themselves, bringing about an even worse meltdown than we've already seen? Or will absolutely nothing happen during the rest of this year that will point to a coming Armageddon? This thread is to discuss any and all that happens or does not happen, during the rest of this year 2012.

Also this is a very good program, and the best I've seen that neither promotes the possible 'end of the world' nor disputes it. It merely presents all the facts of all the many different cultures that have in some way or fashion predicted the world's end, as well as show the skeptics and critics views -

My husband is a huge 2012 geek, but he isn't one to think its the end of the world, nor do I. We both believe that on that day life as we know it changes, but in a spiritual way. Humanity has its chance to become fully aware of what it's capable of. On that day humans will be able to vibrate on a higher frequency, so it's basically a coming of a new age. Man wont be so closed minded to his own capabilities:D So that's a good thing, not a bad thing. Besides everyone has predicted the end of the world, and each of those prophecy's have come and gone. The only difference is that it's in our life time so everyone is freaking out. I say who cares, why worry and worry about that date. For all we know today or even tomorrow could be our last day on Earth. So stressing about the unknown seems pretty pointless. I know I'm going to live my life to the fullest, especially for the sake of my family.

I personally don't believe it because I guess I was never onto these things. I remember what really made me go 'nah' about it was the date. 21/12/12 looked funky for some reason XD But from around 2010 and throughout 2011, all the natural disasters we had and the frequency in which they happened, did make me wonder about the 2012 theory. Right now, I'm still in the 'we shall live to see 2013' camp, but anything goes. Hopefully nothing happens. Maybe someone will make something happen to throw in some excitement.

It's funny, but my friends and I have come to the conclusion that the world ending in 2012 would suck because... we finally escaped from 13 years of schooling at the end of 2011, take one step into university, and the world blows up in our face. Our priorities are awe-inspiring XD;

I think if we were to be destroyed, either by war and/or economic breakdown, or perhaps being hit by an giant asteroid, well, it's possible. But taking how much continous disaster had been happening all over the world, I wouldn't be surprised if this is just the beggining of something much worse. I hope nothing happens of course, it surely sucks think that we only have one more year to live.

Really it's no a laughing matter guys,It might be true though,But no.. iam not going to say it's the end of the world its just a huge cataclysm will come,But there will be an end to the world but it's soon guys so stay sharp ,there are an end to everything.

Well, there's an option, but I can never pull that off in a manner where I get away with it nice and clean. I guess, if the world is ending that day, its one of those things that's just going to not meant to be. However if its not the end of the world, then the dream is still alive, baby.

^^ Oh yeah, who are we to doubt Marty Mcfly? I mean this guy came close to getting with it with his mother and almost pulled a Futurama where he might be his own father. I know, Fry is his own grandfather, but I think the concept is still the same.
