Somehow, it's always the Asian culture that gets pointed out first. :True:

Ancient Greeks and Romans clearly did no wrong by having gods marry sisters and cousins.

Zeus is angry. whistling.gif The only reason why i said that was because another member said it was popular or common in Japan in the Hinata pairing thread.

My apologies my good sir. sad.gif

Might have been popular back in the ancient times, as they marry within the clan to keep the clan "pure".

But nowadays? Illegal and punishable by law in most countries.

... But how the heck is it possible?! The lady is, what, 76? How the heck can that old of a lady have babies when she should have had menopause, like, 20 or so years ago...? O_ò I'm sorry, but until I see a pic of her pregnant or something then I can't believe this. It's just - sick and absolutely wrong. I mean, what if I had babies with my grandson (I'm only 15 and can't have kids anyways but just follow me on this XD) seriously, that'd just be the grossest thing... This lady was locked away for like 15 years by her Dad and ended up having 7 kids with him ø.ø That just made me sick - but this, this is about the equivalent of that. It's just so wrong and unlogical. It goes against... :O *dramatic music* Science!

The article explains it; The baby is being born through a surrogate mother at the low low cost of 54k.

I am aghast by this relationship. Maybe I've just never been in love like that before, but they certainly aren't adding logic into the equation by having a baby.
If it were a Grandpa and a granddaughter people would move beyond disgust and straight into rage.

72 actually, but who's keeping score?

QUOTE

Actually, it's not unheard of. Women have had babies around their seventies, so it's not what strikes me as odd with this article. However, at that age she probably wouldn't have survived a pregnancy, but she's using a surrogate mother.

QUOTE

If you had grandchildren at 15, THAT would have been impressive and highly disturbing. However, it's perfectly possible for a 15 year old girl to get pregnant and have children, so don't go getting any ideas missy.

QUOTE

Josef Fritzl kept his daughter, Elizabeth, in his dungeon (that's what they named it in the media) for 24 years, where she ended up giving birth to seven children. One of the children died soon after birth, and Josef cremated the child himself in the very same basement where he kept his daughter and children/grandchildren. Three of the children were kept in the tiny living quarters in the dungeon since birth and up to the day they were released, and the other three were raised by Josef and his wife in the house upstairs without knowing that their mother was a prisoner in their basement. If their oldest daughter didn't get multi organ failure in 2008 (she's two years younger than me, which makes her 20 now), they would probably still be held captive. This particular case was ten thousand times more disturbing than an article posted in the Sun, and shocked the entire world with how horrible a story it was.

Actually, it is very much possible for older women to give birth. While I have never seen a women as old as 72 give birth I have seen a women in her 60s give births. She was 65. So it is not all that absurd.

Medical science has come a long way and we have extended human life by a good 40 years in the average life span, maybe even more since the Renaissance.

Yep. That was really the grossest. I watched that on I.D, it was really gross and I think the girl's daughter had kidney failure - or problems.
