Speaking of that...now that Sasuke's married is Karin a horrible person unless she either becomes a home wrecker or an old maid sitting around wondering what it?

I hope that someday in the future, when everyone has worn of the Shipping Googles, people understand how horrible this war arc has been. At least I've come to fully realize it, but I wish would have done it sooner. Pulling of the narrative with Obito enraged literally every fan; Madara was pushed to the side in the most ridiculous way; and Kaguya was the biggest asspulled villain I've ever witnessed in the history of manga. The end couples just fit perfectly into this ludicrous and inconsistent writing. 

Agreeed. This story headed down hill the moment Naruto, when faced with a Sauske that tried to murder him, Sakura and Kakashi ignored all common sense and human behavior and cried "don't worry, I'll save you EVEN at the cost of myself <333" and Sakura went "GREAT IDEA!"

Part of me has always lynch-pinned Itachi's reveal as being the downfall of the story. Its around that time where the trend of every villain being "Not that bad" starts to come into play.

But even back in part one I thought that there was more to him going off on the Clan like that...but I just thought it was because they were all kittens and his dad pushed him too far 

Yeah, there were signs that there was more to Itachi than meets the eye. Which means he had the "Itachi is a good guy" twist planned when he wrote him mentally torturing Sasuke and telling him to become a traitor to Konoha by killing his best friend. Which makes NO SENSE.

I think I understand what he means. I know all of you won't agree on that, but I think counting love as an aim for Naruto that was part of his nindo of never giving up was wrong. Love was never a big deal for Naruto. The Promise of a Life Time and Sai confessing Naruto's love was just for drama purpose and also leading to NS death with the fake confession that put an end to NS. 

Also this interview shows that every shippers were somehow right in their interpretation: NH/SS were right for their interpretation from at least Pain Arc while NS were right for their interpretation of the beginning of Part 2 until Pain Arc. I think Kishi wasn't sure on which couple he wanted in Part 1 thus leading him to give hints and moments to every ship. He wasn't very invested in romance in Part 1. 

 

Let's assume this is right.

 

Let's assume NS died around 470.

 

If NS died way back then, then what was the point in

- paralleling Naruto saving Sakura like Minato saved Kushina?

- Kushina telling Naruto in 504 that she wanted him to fight a woman like her, which was confirmed to be Sakura in 631?

- in the majority of Sakura's panels being dedicated to Naruto?

615 onwards

- Road to Ninja, which clearly paralleled the kitten out of MinaKushi?

 

Kishimoto is full of kitten.

 

He's backtracking from the pairing he developed to validate pairings that were set up to fail but didn't because they were popular and therefore lucrative.

As for the rest,it's either pairing tease, or either us looking too deep, or either Kishi was still not decided on the pairing until 615 which is highly unlikey since it was almost the end. The thing is that we'll never know when he made up his mind since there was always pairing tease to every ship, when it was not NS? it was NH or SS when it was neither NH or SS it was NS.

I love Karin and I'm glad she escaped this mess. I was a SasuKarin shipper, but I'd like to think she's wandering around the world with Taka while Sasuke is trying to escape his boring ass life with a daughter who reminds him everyday that he made the wrong choice lol period.

 

Also glad Neji doesn't get to see that Hinata is as useless as always and doesn't give a damn about her clan. The second branch, bird seals.. Who cares? She has Nardo's D and his ugly ass kids

Obviously, I'm the opposite. But to follow your metaphor, I'd rather he forget he got himself one in the first place while it's still relatively clean. So at this point, I'd rather he find her irrelevant enough to not bother to give her a resolution  Those of who who do like her will no doubt treat her better in our post-series head-canons, than he could ever hope to.

They weren't all romantic, but if NaruSaku wasn't the intended endgame, then why were they there in the first place? Why weren't they dedicated to Sasuke? Why was it Sakura that was depicted thinking about Naruto the most if he were intended to end with Hinata after the war? It makes no sense.

 

Road to Ninja validated nearly every parallel theory associated with NaruSaku. It was obvious before, but Kishimoto couldn't have made it more clear it was all by design in that movie.

 

Now he's trying to spin past events in something they're not.

 

Now we're supposed to forget what Yamato was about to say to Sakura. We're supposed to forget about Sai playing intermediary for NaruSaku. We're supposed to forget Naruto loved Sakura so much he was willing to suffer his entire life for her sake. We're supposed to forget she had feelings for him, that she didn't know what she thought of him because of those feelings, and so on and so forth.

 

It's clear he's sweeping NaruSaku under the rug to validate NaruHina and SasuSaku.

This is the guy who had no idea how to defeat his own villain, who created "kaguya" on the spot just so he could kill said villain

Kaguya being one of the worst villains in shonen history

So its not unlikely he was still in doubt by 615 at least.
This chapter was around the same time they started producing the last wasn't it? See? Everything fits
