Now I know why they are coming out with bs like 'Naruto only had weak feelings for Sakura'. Cause otherwise Kishimoto's words would be contradicting and make no sense.

 

Sakura changing feelings at the end would be bad but Naruto changing his feelings is okay because his feelings were not 'true love' like Sakura's or Hinata's. This man really has a scarily twisted view on love and romance. 

 

 

And the constant reminder that - '' I am not good at writing romance''

Just admit you screwed up. Just admit that, for whatever reason it is, you decided to abandon all the development of the story and the characters, all the values and morals, every good thing that the manga represented. With that ending, you pushed the self-destruct button and wrecked 15 years of hard work.

Exactly. If he truly wanted NH and SS from the start, then those relationships should have been developed. But he built a beautiful relationship between Naruto and Sakura with parallels and comparisons up until the very end. I don't understand how that can be swept away in two chapters. And his ability to convey a relationship between Sasuke and Sakura is perhaps MORE egregious than anything else.

Yeah l don't care about this "respect the author" nonsense anymore. The man is a piece of kitten. He's selling toxic "ideals" to his gullible fanbase and has an incredibly messed up views on human relationships. l'm never reading anything by him again and l'll try to forget l ever read that awful garbage story called Naruto.

Personally, the interview makes me smile. He's even worse than I, one of the loudest detractors, even thought possible.

If this is spin, they're dishonest. If not, then he never really knew what he was doing. It's getting so bad that I even wonder if head read what he wrote. It's hard to argue that he did.
