I did not really mind the length and harem concept because the degree of chemistry and fun I have had with everyone of them. It felt more like City Hunter and it worked. Every facets and sides of our characters are explored and makes the milking work.

 

I get what you are thinking about Kosaki about the typical ideal Japanese girl. However, the author actually succeeds in making her character likable which is where Kishi failed. I recall that she really wanted Chitoge to be happy and did not want to see her all alone. She wants her friends to be happy and went to the US to help the female lead. Hinata sacrificed her friends to get Naruto. Unlike Hinata, she actually spends a lot of time with Raku and feels like a more believable relationship. The author doesn't mock the losers and help them find closure.

 

Edit: I had no doubts that he would chose Chitoge. Especially, the moment with the disastrous where they kept running running into each other. The moment where they were just started laughing sealed the deal.

 

Oh the ride wasn't itself wasn't so bad, it was only that Raku x Chitoge was already a forgone conclusion if you ask me. From the very first chapter and definitely if you've read the one-shot prior to the proper serialization. but the problem with that is that BECAUSE it's so obvious the journey to get there doesn't really excite me. My Main problems with with Love triangles, and harems actually is that it is pretty obvious from most who the mc would pick in the end. It's not balanced, and the favoritism is already towards the the love interest that the writer WANTS together with the MC, so the other characters are not there for anything besides pointless drama because again the writing already gives away the winner not matter how subtly it is done.

I wouldn't say it's a ship i was all too crazy for cause that wasn't the purpose of the show, but I always kinda wondered what would happen if they did become a couple, and wow did they become a couple:

Oh coincidence!!!   There are also several favourites that don't work out in canon too  like Guy X Pricilla for instance

 

Ninian is one of my favourite characters from 7, But I am just kind of annoyed how heavily the story is pushed in her favor on who Eliwood's wife A.K.A. Roy's mother is, EVEN THOUGH the developers and support system says it is supposed to be open ended and let you decide who the non confirmed parents of the kids from 6 are

Oh, they do that all the time.   Like in Awakening, they push Chrom x Sumia (My NOTP of FE: A) down your throat so much before the time skip, but they made it to be a 'your choice'. Yuck. That's a huge pet peeve of mine. Don't push towards a certain couple in a game where the pairs are 'your choice'.

 

I need to replay 7 again since it's been years. But what I do remember is that Eliwood was literally the only pairing Ninian could be in because she falls in love with him no matter what. And she either stays or leaves. 

But yeah, I hated how much they pushed the pair in that game too.

Yeah Awakening too, although I'm a bit more forgiving of that one because I find the story is not shoving it in you face that much truth be told. other than the opening cinematic and the chapter 3 cutscene , nothing really indicates Sumia anymore than Chrom's other potential wives, whereas in 6 and 7 it was heavlily laced with Ninian on it, where Marcus even told Lilina in their supports Eliwood once got a flower from Illia for Roy's mother. So I guess what irks me particularly about the "pushing towards a certain couple, even though it supposed to be your choice" situation in Fire Emblem Elibe is that there is a sequel and kind of gives further hints in addition to the actual game

 

Anyway, Does anyone here read Hatsukoi Zombie/ First Love Zombie? I SO LOOK forward to Tarou X Ririsu A.K.A. Eve  and can't wait for the day they become a couple. Although I have no images for the 2 of them together for now, because the story doesn't have any yet. Why? Well see for yourself if you haven't read it yet It's a pretty hilarious rom-com

Eh, I'm personally the opposite.    I don't mind if a game that supposedly advertises an "open-ended romantic choice" for you but secretly harbors an agenda to push you towards a certain pairing as long as I like the couple and it makes sense(like Robin x Lucinda).  The Ar Tonelico and  Megami Tensei/Persona series for instance, offers the same multiple choices for the male protagonist, but the story and sub events makes it so blatantly obvious who the developers are biased towards and usually (in my case) I actually like the characters that they are manipulating me to put together.

I'll be honest everything I wanted NaruSaku is exactly what Percabeth was and that's a pairing that went through alot throughout the course of the series, and damn it's just beautiful. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jason Grace x Piper Mclean-  Heros of Olympus 

 

 

-  I think this pairing genuinely was so pure and it really has such an impact when you start the series from The Lost Hero all the way up to Blood of Olympus and you're really rooting for them in terms of the chemistry of their relationship.

Luffy x Nami!

I have noticed that whenever Oda directs a One Piece movie, he always includes subtle hints of this variety towards Luffy x Nami.  I think he's trying to tell us something.  

 

Also going to include Sonic x Amy Rose.  It's been made clear that Amy's love for Sonic is genuine and not just a fangirlish obsession and while it is somewhat ambiguous, Sonic definitely has feelings for Amy.

Now usually there are series were I do get invested in shipping examples like NaruSaku  from Naruto,  IchiRuki Bleach,  Izuku x Ochako from Boku No Hero Academia,  Asta x Noelle from Black Clover, Kirito x Asuna from SAO etc.    Attack on Titan while I do see potential in a pairing there's not alot of investment for me in that department for that particular series atleast the mainline series.   That's the key word spin offs on the otherhand are a different case, and this is from Before The Fall you all know where I'm going with this.  So Volume 9 left me at a point where I was like You did not just pull that card on me at the end I won't say what, but then I saw the last chapter of Volume 12 ( latest one), and it made feel relieved after 12 chapters.  Keep in mind it's a monthly series just like the main story so you can imagine the torture I felt when it came to waiting for this.

 

 

Plus you can say they are canon in a way at this point:

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kuklo x Sharle - Attack on Titan Before The Fall 

 

 

 

I've said this before too, but to me they are pretty much on par with TouKen from Tokyo Ghoul. I'm just glad it finally happened, although that kind leaves me worried in a sense for the rest of the story similar with Tokyo Ghoul at the moment.
