there really isn't a problem. The users who have their profiles logged in that torrent gave consent for that info to be viewed by the internet, no matter who it is, by making the info public. Public profiles, addresses, phone numbers/etc - if it was submitted, permission was given and thus there is no justification for outrage.

I for one can't fathom why someone would put up addresses and phone numbers (I even heard of a case where someone complained that their SSN was shared too lolol) of all things. jfccccccccc. If you don't want your livelihood on the net, don't put it up. and facebook can diaf; where's the next best thing

Why would you trust somebody on the internet anyways? Even if they do have a website with millions of users. Pffffffffff

trust is a powerful thing, and it can help in the long run. That's why you should pick your battles when you put it on the line. From the stories I've heard, facebook has a huge amount of ignorant web users, most of which use it's services horribly. For instance, I know of people who add people they barely know. Examples like, "oh I remember him from my first week in Art II sculpting before I dropped it!" and "I remember her! We ladled from the same punch bowl from that party 2 years ago!" and an instant fav, "Oh I saw him in the hallway once."

this is where the complaints come from. If you put your risqué info there for these "friends" of yours, don't blame the seeders here (teehee) for sharing the info you trusted with strangers on your f-list.

anyway I'd like to think I trust the right people online. Mik3 is a very trustworthy fellow, stand up chap that one. emoticon_monocle.gif
