Keanu Reeves as Spike = FAIL. A blank-faced Spike going "Whoa"?

But Steven Seagal would also be bad. He only has one expression.

He always has the same damn expression in every scene of every film I've ever seen him in!

I don't agree with Samuel L Jackson as Jet. That's just fanservice. I really like Sam, but he's not the right guy for that role.

Hollywood never knows when to leave things alone...

The movie is being rewritten says Reeves

Half a billion dollar budget?! Jesus Christ what are they trying to make it a space epic like Star Trek or something? CGI is a lot cheaper nowadays.

You know...Keanu actually kinda LOOKS like Spike, if you look at it really closely. Like, joking aside, he's a pretty good actor. They could have gotten Zac Efron, people.

I sincerely hope there is sarcasm in your voice when you said "Keanu Reeves is a good actor." Besides blank look #1 and dismal blank look #2, not to mention a few carefully thrown in there "Whoa"s, he has no range as an actor.

So we have a live action Dragonball which was a flop.

Live action Cowboy Bebop is tempting, but I know they would kitten it up.

Keanu Reeves as Spike is not a bad choice, but I am sure there are better choices. There are definitely worse choices.

If they actually wanna adapt this, they should actually learn from the Ben 10: Alien Swarm creators. (Good plot, No OOCness, great chara development, took it to a new level with a rather dark storyline. Nothing too special but it's definitely decent for a live-action adaptation.) I give it 7.8/10.
