For those of you who were interested, I finally sent my first book off to a publishing company that works with Penguin Publishing a couple of weeks ago. The publishers say the book could be out BEFORE Christmas and should be out by the end of January at the very latest. It will be sold on pretty much every major book selling site, as well as E-books and copies will be sold world wide.

The Title of my book is "Chris Lynheart The Rise of Experiment 2025"

Here's a sample of the first and second books.

Book one
Several years ago the U.S invaded the Middle East in defense of Kuwait, driving out the Iraqi military. The U.S and allied forces had superior might, and easily pushed Iraq out of Kuwait in less than a year. The U.S alone faced light casualties, less than four hundred deaths. While the Iraqi military lost over one hundred thousand. The loss to American forces made Saddam furious at the U.S and her allies. He secretly met with the leaders of the terror group “Al Qaeda” and requested they help start a war and make a weapon that could cripple America for an invasion. Al Qaeda accepted the request and started the construction of an ultimate weapon.

Eventually, the U.S found out and in secret started building their own weapon, one capable of controlling all of Earth’s elements. This experiment became known as “Experiment 2025.” U.S scientists believed if this new weapon were to see battle it would wipe out any resistance force within a matter of months, or would ultimately destroy an entire continent within six years. However, the U.S needed test subjects and the experiment would only work on a child under the age of four. In secret, U.S Special Forces took kids from their families and wiped their memory clean of any friends or relative, and doing the same to the people who knew of the target’s existence.

CHAPTER ONE
A MASSACRE IN DC
Twelve years have passed since the U.S found their target and began the construction of Experiment 2025

A boy named Chris ran down the streets of Washington DC laughing as he carried a paint bucket in his right arm.
“CHRIS GET BACK HERE!!” A police man yelled as he chased with another cop at his side.
“NO WAY! YOU’LL HAVE TO CATCH ME FIRST!!” Chris yelled as he ran across the street, cutting through traffic.
“CHRIS WE’RE NOT JOKING!! GET BACK HERE NOW!!” the other police officer yelled.
Chris smirked and ran into a crowd of pedestrians. “EXCUSE ME; PARDON ME, COMIN’ THROUGH KIND’A RUNNING FOR MY LIFE HERE.” Chris shouted as he cut through the crowd. He turned around to see the policemen had gone a completely different direction. He chuckled as he said “man that was almost too easy ha-ha”
“OH YEAH CHRIS!?” A voice shouted in Chris’s ear, causing him to rocket sky high.
Chris turned to see the Sherriff of the Washington P.D. and yelled “WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO YA JERK?! SEND ME TO THE MOON?!!?”
“AS MUCH AS I’D LOVE TO DO THAT CHRIS!” The sheriff yelled.” I have orders from the president to bring you back to the Monument to clean up the mess you made.”
“What?” Chris asked with a laugh in his voice “all I did was give the Washington monument a new look.”
“YEAH, YOU DREW A CLOWN FACE ON IT AND GAVE IT A RAINBOW DESIGN!!” the Sherriff yelled.
Chris rubbed the back of his head as he said “y-you noticed that huh?”
The Sherriff grabbed Chris’s shirt and dragged him along the sidewalk saying “difficult not to, it was on all the nationwide news channels.”
Chris waved his hand in front of him as he said “breaking news, turns out the president has a soft spot for rainbows. You got to love a girly boy president don’t ya?”
The Sherriff pulled Chris to his eyes and said “you idiot! You turned our nation’s monument into a rainbow and drew a clown’s face on it!! It’s going to take weeks to get that cleaned up! Don’t you know what the monument symbolizes?!
“No, but I know why they call the White house the white house.” Chris replied.
“Oh really?” The sheriff asked in a surprised voice. “Why is it called the White House?”
“Because the builders couldn’t come up with a better name and went with the obvious.” Chris replied with his arms crossed.
The sheriff face palmed and said in annoyance “no the White house is called that because…because…hmm, I forget that part. But never mind that! You are in some serious trouble Chris.”
Chris smirked as he whispered to himself “when have I not been?”
The sheriff hung his head down as a news helicopter flew overhead. “I suppose they’re going to want an interview, damn it Chris.” He thought to himself.

In the courtyard of the Washington Monument, one of the security guards was ordered to keep an eye on Chris, but the sheriff volunteered instead. Chris was given a bucket of water and a small brush, and then was told to clean the paint off the monument. As Chris cleaned off the paint of the monument he looked up at the sheriff and said “don’t you have officer class or something? You know, teaching the newbie’s?”
The sheriff laughed silently to himself, then replied “nope. Thanks to you, I’m off work as of thirty minutes ago.”
Chris’s face suddenly fell in disappointment. “Oh, I see. WELL THAT SUCKS!! NOW I HAVE TO STAY HERE!!” Chris yelled in anger.
The sheriff nodded and looked down at Chris with a serious face and said “and you’re not leaving until this building is. Got it?!”
The anger in the sheriff’s voice sent chills down Chris’s back. Chris buffed his chest out and saluted “YES SIR!! AYE!!”
The sheriff hung his head for a moment and said “Get back to work!”
“AYE SIR!” Chris replied.
“UGGGHHHH” The sheriff moaned as he facepalmed. The Sherriff looked at Chris and said “you’re not getting anywhere with that attitude buddy.”
“YES SIR! SORRY SIR!” Chris replied.
The sheriff put his head between his knees, trying to hide the small grin appearing on his face. He then looked at Chris and said “When you’re done messing around, and actually get some of this paint off. What say we go to the new McDonald restaurant that just opened a few days ago? I’ve heard they’ve gotten a pretty good sized menu selection in the past few years.”
A ding echoed through Chris’s mind. Chris started scrubbing harder and faster while yelling excitedly “YOU’RE KIDDING ME! THE NEW MCDONNALD RESTAURANT THAT JUST OPENED A WEEK AGO?! YOU STAY RIGHT THERE AND DON’T MOVE! THIS WON’T TAKE LONG!”

“I’ll take a number two!” Chris shouted with cheer in his voice.
“And I’ll take a number three, hold the onions.” The sheriff said as he pulled out his wallet.
“That’ll be $14.79” the clerk replied.
While the sheriff paid for their food, Chris went to the back of the restaurant to claim their seats. However, when Chris took his seat, he noticed almost everyone in the building was giving him looks of disgust.
“Oh no, not now!” Chris whispered to himself. Out of the corner of his eye, Chris could see someone reaching their hand out to him. “HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME!!” Chris shouted with fear in his voice.
Suddenly a loud whistle echoed through the building. Every one turned to face the sheriff who had a serious look on his face.
“Either go back to your seats…or park it in the back seat of my cruiser!” The Sherriff said with anger in his voice.
The man holding Chris growled angrily and shoved Chris into the wall as hard as he could before letting go of his shirt.
The sheriff walked over to the man and said “You have fifteen seconds to walk out that door and get out of my sight. Fail to do this, and I will place you under arrest! Is that clear?!”
The man growled, and then walked out the door, sending one more evil glance to Chris. Chris let out a sigh of relief, and then took his seat across from the sheriff.

After finishing his meal, Chris looked at the sheriff and asked “Why am I treated like this? What did I ever do to these people? All my life I’ve been treated like this. No respect, no friends…and no family. Why am I so separated from everyone else? I don’t even remember half of my life.”
The sheriff gave Chris a sad look, and then said “There’s a law that keeps people from talking about it.”
Chris’s eyes widened as he asked “Wait! A law?! Why is my past such a secret from me? I’m human am I not?”
The sheriff looked down at the floor as he said “I want to tell you Chris, but I can’t. There are some things that are better off not being discovered…even your own past. You’ll know one day, but that might be a long time from now.”
“Oh…I see.” Chris replied. Chris turned his head to watch traffic pass by on the avenue just outside his window.
He was knocked out of his thoughts as the sheriff asked “So, Chris how’s the studying going?”
Chris’s face turned white as he turned to the sheriff and said “G-g-g-great! Why do you ask?”
The sheriff laughed as he said “OH COME ON CHRIS! Don’t tell me you forgot about that test next week. You know…the one that allows you to move on from middle school.”
“Crap!” Chris whispered to himself.
The sheriff’s face turned serious as he asked “Chris…honestly, how do you plan on having a good life when you don’t study?”
Chris looked at the sheriff and said “Hey! It’s not that easy to study when you’re constantly running for your life! Don’t believe me? Then we should try switching bodies or something. I’d give anything to have one whole day with a family, and see what it’s like to actually have someone care about you.”
The sheriff nodded, then stood up and took their tray to the trash can. He turned to Chris and said “You better come with me. That man from earlier may still be out there. And I have a feeling he really wants to hurt you…or worse.”
Chris nodded, and walked out of the building with the sheriff.

“You live at the orphanage right?” The sheriff asked. “I’ll drop you off and head home.”
Chris looked at the sheriff and nodded.
The sheriff nodded and started his car. Suddenly the radio came on
“Attention all units we’ve got an armed robbery on Fifth-Avenue. S.W.A.T teams have been called in and are taking heavy fire. They need backup as soon as possible.”
Chris looked to his right to see six police vehicles and a S.W.A.T truck blaze down the road. He then looked at the sheriff and said “Well, what are you waiting for? Let’s go!”
“Let’s?” The sheriff asked. The sheriff chuckled as he said “the only place you’re going is home.”
“CHEEPSKATE!” Chris yelled in disbelief, making the sheriff bust out in laughter. Chris looked out the window to see several more police vehicles and two fire trucks storm down the road. He looked up to see a police helicopter fly overhead. “Yeesh! That must be some battle over there.” Chris whispered. Suddenly the car started backing up and red and blue lights reflected off the concrete. Chris looked at the sheriff to see a serious face. “Ok, you know what?” Chris asked. “I think I’m ready to go home. Screw going to that fight.”
The sheriff nodded and said “I’m going to drop you off at Washington Park. You can walk the rest of the way to the orphanage from there. “
“But that’s a ten block walk from the orphanage.” Chris thought to himself. Chris looked at the sheriff and asked “Can’t you get me any closer? I mean, it’s a ten block hike from Washington Park to the orphanage. Surly you can get me a little closer.”
The sheriff shook his head as he said “No, that is as close as I can take you. I have to get to the robbery as soon as possible.”
Chris nodded and then looked out the window to see a news helicopter fly overhead. “Alright…step on the gas, let’s get out of here.”
The sheriff nodded and stomped on the gas pedal, sending Chris flying to the back seat. The sheriff then stomped on the brake and yelled “CHRIS, FASTEN YOUR SEAT BELT!”
“Well sorry.” Chris said as he climbed into the front seat again.

As the sheriff sped down the avenue the police HQ came on the radio again saying. “We’ve got four S.W.A.T teams in the building taking heavy fire. Each squad has wounded. All officers have permission to engage and use any means necessary to bring these bandits down.”
The sheriff turned the S.W.A.T radio on and listened to S.W.A.T team three. “They’ve got prisoners on the third floor! Watch your aim!”

The sheriff changed the radio to S.W.A.T team four. Chris stared at the radio as gun shots echoed through the speakers. Chris opened his mouth to say something, but was cut off by yelling from the radio.
“THEY’VE GOT AK47’s! ARMED AND DANGEROUS! O…Fire……TAK…DOWN!!”

The sheriff turned the radio to S.W.A.T team one and listened as yelling came through the speakers. “WE’RE TAKING HEAVY FIRE ON LEVEL THREE! THEY’VE KILLED TWO CIVILIANS AND HAVE MOVED THEIR PRISONERS UP TO LEVEL FOUR!”
Chris looked in his mirror to see another S.W.A.T semi and several more police units to the sides of it. He listened as he heard a helicopter fly over the vehicle. He listened as the sheriff changed the radio to S.W.A.T team one.
“C’MON, C’MON MOVE, MOVE! SET UP THE TURRET RIGHT HERE LET’S GO!! DON’T LET THEM GET TO THE ROOF!”
Gun shots started going off causing Chris to jump.
“What in the world is going on?”
Chris looked at the sheriff and asked “What do you mean? Robberies are fairly common in DC.”
“Yeah, but not like this.” The sheriff replied. “We’re used to little things like drug dealers, simple murder cases and gang wars. Not Iraqi battlefronts. Something’s not right, these aren’t everyday robbers.”
Chris nodded as he replied “Well, yeah…but aren’t your S.W.A.T teams trained for this kind of stuff? I thought they were special weapons or something like that. I don’t really know what S.W.A.T stands for…and I’m not talking about the swat you give a misbehaving child either.”
“S.W.A.T stands for special weapons and tactics.” The sheriff answered. “Yes they’re trained to storm buildings and rescue civilian prisoners that may have been taken hostage. But…I just can’t shake this bad feeling inside my chest right now. I don’t think these are robbers at all.”
Chris had a confused face as he asked “What do you mean they’re not robbers? What do you think they are?”
“Terrorists” the sheriff answered simply.
Chris looked out his window to see a different kind of helicopter fly overhead. “WHOA!” He shouted as he pointed at the helicopter. “Look at the size of that thing! It’s huge!”
“It’s a Black Hawk” the sheriff said with fear in his voice.
“A Black Hawk?” Chris thought to himself “I thought those were military air vehicles, like troop transports or attack support helicopters.”
Suddenly the radio came on again with a S.W.A.T officer yelling
“WE’VE GOT MILITARY POLICE ON THE ROOF! WATCH YOUR RIGHT S.W.A.T SEVEN!”
“It’s got to be getting intense over there.” Chris said as he watched another police cruiser pass by.

As the sheriff pulled to a stop and unlocked the doors to his cruiser. Chris looked at him and said “Thanks for the ride…now for the really long walk. Right in the middle of the night too.”
While the sheriff started backing up from his parking area the sheriff rolled down a window and said “get home fast. It looks like a storm’s coming in.”
Chris watched as the sheriff sped down the street and took a sharp left turn at the next intersection. While Chris stood in his place, a shiver went down his spine. Chris then looked at the sky to see dark clouds were moving in and lightning was flashing in the distance. “Oh great! Just my luck!” Chris said as he started walking through the park towards the orphanage.

Rain suddenly started pouring from the sky, forcing Chris to seek shelter under a building’s entrance way. Chris folded his arms together and huddled his knees against his body, trying to stay as warm as possible. While Chris leaned against the wall, his eyelids suddenly got heavy. He started to fall asleep, but heard voices coming from the alleyway next to the building. He stood up and walked over to the corner of the building to listen to the voices. He peeked around the corner to identify the men, but he couldn’t tell who it was talking. All he could make out was six or seven black figures in the darkness of the alleyway. Chris stood by the corner and tried to listen to the conversation.

“So the police are distracted for now?” One of the figures asked.
“Yes boss, but you really want to go through with this? You realize the U.S military and FBI will be on our asses if we do this. You’re practically trying to start another war here.”
“I don’t care about the price!” The supposed leader of the group replied. “We were sent here to get their government distracted again. The resurrection depends on this, as well as the modern war. But if needed, we’ll start another war just to buy more time for our testing.”
“Testing?” Chris thought to himself.
“Alright boss” one of the other men started. “Let’s go through the plan again. Once we have our target in hand we take him back to Afghanistan. Then wait for the next attack?”
“Yes” The leader said with a taste of evil in his voice. “While our brother’s deal with him, our plans for the next attack will go into play. The U.S government won’t know what hit them. Soon, very soon, we will launch the next assault on the world. Starting with Baghdad. The Iraqi’s betrayal must be dealt with.”
“What about the other one?” One of the other figures asked. “You know…the Experiment?”
“He has already been dealt with.” The leader replied. “The U.S Air Force was kind enough to do that part for us.”
The men started laughing as the leader pulled out a piece of paper from his jacket and said “So it is in the capitol of the so called “Land of the free and home of the brave” the plans of world annihilation are taking place!”
Chris gasped, and covered his mouth as soon as the breath left.
One of the men in the alley turned around and yelled “WHO’S THERE?!”
Chris heard footsteps coming toward him; he looked up to see the men running at him through the darkness of the alley. He immediately pushed himself off the wall and started running across the street. He looked back to see eight figures chasing him through the darkness. He looked around trying to come up with a plan to try and lose them. He looked in the direction of the park and thought for a minute. He was brought out of his thoughts as he heard one of the figures yell
“HE’S OVER THERE!”
Chris nodded to himself as he thought “It’ll have to do.” He looked back to see the men were splitting up and going different directions.

As Chris entered the park he started running through the grass trying to find a good hiding place. Suddenly, he couldn’t feel any ground underneath his left foot, causing him to lose balance and roll down a hill.
“All the speed in the world’s not going to help me if I can’t watch where I’m going.” Chris mumbled as he stood up.
He started looking around, and found a good place to hide. He lay down in a small hole in the ground and waited for the other men to appear.

Nearly five minutes later, eight figures appeared into view.
Chris squinted his eyes trying to get an ID on at least one of them. However, the darkness of the night and the rain made it difficult to get a good look at their faces.
Chris sighed as the men started walking off in a random direction after searching the area for ten minutes. While he crawled out from his hole he thought to himself, “I wonder what they were planning. I should go back to the alley and see what I can find.”
He skimmed the area one final time to be sure the coast was clear. Then cautiously ran through the darkness back to the alleyway, hiding behind every tree or obstacle he came across.

After running through the park, Chris found the alleyway where the discussion of “world annihilation” had taken place. He slowly peeked around the corner to see an empty van with its back doors open.
Chris crept into the alleyway, taking care not to make any kind of noise. A flash of lightning lit the alleyway, revealing several papers and envelopes in the back of the van.
Chris jumped at the sound of a bang behind him. He quickly turned to see a trashcan lid rolling towards him; he looked up to see a cat digging through the trashcan at the end of the alley. He let out a sigh of relief, and turned to face the van again. Another lightning flash lit the alleyway to reveal a map in the van. Chris reached into the van and pulled the map out and tried to read it.
“What the?!! This is!” Chris was snapped out of his thoughts as he heard voices and footsteps approaching.
“I don’t know who it was, but he’s one lucky guy. If I had caught him his life would be over right now.”
Chris grabbed the other papers and hid under the van. He watched as eight figures turned into the alleyway. He could make out the shapes of guns and knives, but he couldn’t see their faces. Suddenly the van started and the other men climbed in.
Chris ducked his head down as the van started moving. Smoke came out of the exhaust pipe, into his face, making him cough.
As the van pulled out of the alley way and onto the street, Chris ran the other way and headed for the orphanage.

As Chris slowly approached the building he called “home” he saw the minister of the building standing in the doorway.
“You’re late Chris!” The minister said with a mean sounding laugh behind his words.
Chris gulped as he walked up to the old man and said “sorry, I guess I lost track of time.”
The minister gave him a mean look as he spat out “You’ll lose more than that if you disobey the rules one more time! Consider this your last warning!”
Chris nodded and walked into the building.
The minister took a final look outside before slamming the doors shut. “Chris!” The minister said in a menacing tone of voice.
Chris turned to face the minister and replied “yes?”
The minister chuckled meanly as he said “for making me wait for nearly thirty minutes. You can look forward to extra chores tomorrow. You can start with the dishes after you get back from school.”
Chris sighed and started walking up the stairs towards his room.

Chris slammed his door shut as he yelled “GREAT! JUST FREAKING GREAT!! MORE CHORES! JUST WHAT I FREAKING NEED!!” Chris kicked a pot against the wall and made it shatter. He locked his door and flung himself on his bed. He rolled on his back and stared at the ceiling of his room.
Thoughts of the day were suddenly rushing through his head.
“What a day” he thought to himself. “First I paint the monument in rainbow colors and draw a clown face on it. Then I’m chased down the streets of DC. Then the sheriff takes me to the new McDonalds where that man comes out of nowhere and grabs me. Then the attacks on Fifth Avenue. Definitely not my usual day. Though, compared to the others in the past like yesterday…it was pretty good. I didn’t get beaten for once in my life.”

After thinking for nearly ten minutes, the memories of the alleyway came into his head. Chris immediately jumped from his bed and put his bag on his desk.
As he pulled the papers from his bag, thoughts ran through his head. “World domination? Next attack? Baghdad? What were they planning? And who were they wanting to kidnap?”
Chris skimmed through the pages he stumbled upon a document labeled “Top Secret”. Chris tore the pages from their envelope and read
“The Americans are blinder than we thought. We’ve practically spelled out their doom under their eyes and yet they still continue to help us. There is a boy named “Mathew Villmont” in the United States capitol of Washington DC. Our leader thinks he would prove useful in our experiments. If we have a breakthrough on him, this war is ours. Mathew is the star athlete of Washington High School which is why our leader thinks he stands a high chance of being a success in our research. Russia is growing impatient and has given us a total of seven years to complete Allah’s spirit. You don’t have a lot of time to bring Mathew back here so we can begin our testing. The leader doesn’t want the U.S government to interfere with our plans again. Once you have collected Mathew, bring him back to the European country of Germany. The rest of our group is awaiting your return there. And about the other kid known only as “the experiment” kill him if he gets in the way. We can’t take any chances in our next attacks. 911 was successful enough, we got the Americans into the war and they are blinded by it. But it’s time we woke them up to our world. Your next orders will come within the next four weeks. Allah shall smile upon us shortly.”

“Who’s this experiment kid?” Chris asked himself. He looked at another paper that had coordinates on it. Chris rotated the globe around on his desk as he whispered the coordinates.
“Latitude: N 38° 51' 24.5525" Longitude: W 77° 2' 10.0781" Chris widened his eyes as he thought to himself “THAT’S WASHINGTON DC!!”

Latitude: N 34° 3' 9.5739"Longitude: W 118° 15' 24.6094" Chris’s eyes went even wider as he thought “Los Angeles, California”

Latitude: N 40° 42' 50.241"Longitude: W 74° 0' 14.0625" “New York City, New York!” Chris screamed inside his mind.

Latitude: N 29° 43' 34.4003"Longitude: W 95° 21' 40.7813" “Houston Texas!”

Latitude: N 41° 52' 10.419"Longitude: W 87° 40' 15.2344" “Chicago Illinois!”

Latitude: N 25° 45' 37.1511"\Longitude 80° 12' 0.7031" “Miami Florida!”

A knock at the door caused Chris to jump from his chair and land on the floor.
“Who’s there?” Chris asked.
“Who do you think it is you idiot?! Unlock this door at once!”
Chris let out a groan as he thought “Great, just what I need to see before I go to bed! Mr. Freak show.”
Chris unlocked the door and stared face to face with the minister. “Chris!” He spat out. “It’s way past your bedtime. What are you still doing up?!”
“Uh…studying” Chris answered.
The minister chuckled and said “Indeed, but you’re doomed anyway so why bother? Nobody likes you; even your own teachers at school don’t like you. I don’t even like you but I get paid a thousand dollars a day for giving you a place to stay.”
“W-what? Who’s paying you?” Chris asked in a confused voice.
The minister laughed evilly as he replied “That’s none of your business! You have a long day ahead of you tomorrow so I do wish you a good night’s rest. Happy Nightmares HAHAHAHHAH!!” The minister pushed Chris back into his room and slammed his door shut.
Chris let out a sigh and turned off his lights, but kept his lamp on. He returned his attention to the paper that had the coordinates on it and read through the text at the bottom.

“These are the coordinates of our next attack. Once the American military has left our continent we will unleash Allah’s spirit and eliminate those who destroyed our brothers all those years ago. No longer will the United States think they can police the world. We will taste vengeance within a few short years.”

“Who are these people?” Chris thought to himself. “They’re definitely terrorists, but which group? Al Qaeda was wiped out and the Taliban followed shortly after them. Are these guys related to the Muslim Brotherhood? Or are they something completely new? It’s obvious they were related to the attack of 911, but Osama’s dead…along with his terror group.”
Chris started flipping through the pages of the envelope in front of him trying to find out who these people are. However, he couldn’t find anything and their identity remained a mystery. Chris looked at his alarm clock to read 11:34pm.
“That late already?” Chris thought to himself. “You’re kidding me.
He let out a yawn and looked around for a place to hide the papers.
He lifted his bed mattress and shoved the papers underneath it. He then locked his door and jumped onto his bed and fell asleep.

The next morning, Chris woke to the sound of his alarm clock going off. As soon as he got dressed, somebody knocked on his door.
“Who’s there?” Chris asked. He got no response and shrugged it off.
He put his books in his backpack and prepared to leave.
As he reached for the door handle, another knock pounded on his door.
Chris unlocked his door and opened it. When he walked out into the hall, he was nailed in the face by a tomato and took a watermelon from the ceiling.
“HA-HA!” one kid laughed as he ran down the stairs and into the main room.
Chris’s eyes turned to fire as he lifted the watermelon off of his head and wiped the tomato off his face. “DANG IT JUSTIN HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU TO STOP THAT?!” Chris yelled angrily as he ran down the stairs.
He stopped at the foot of the stairs to see the minister waiting for him.
“Ah, Chris” the minister said with a menacing tone. “Just the one I’ve been waiting on. There is something I want to show you, follow me.”
Chris gulped and started walking behind the minister into another room.
The minister picked up a letter and handed it to Chris while saying “looks like you’re letting yourself go Chris. I wonder how long it will take for them to kick you out.”
Chris couldn’t believe his eyes. He was staring at his report card of nearly straight F’s

Pre-Algebra 32
Social studies 21
Computers 13
Science 11
Plant Science 44
World History 9
Athletics 10

“You’ve got to be kidding me!” Chris screamed in his mind.
The minister chuckled meanly and said “another year of one-thousand dollars a day next year. You’re going to make me rich Chris.”
Chris let out a sigh and laid the paper down on the desk. “What’s the point of even going to school with grades like this?” Chris asked himself. Suddenly his head slammed on the table from the force of something hitting him in the back of the head.
He rubbed his forehead as he stood up and turned to face the two little kids in front of him.
“WHY YOU LITTLE!” Chris yelled as he started running towards them.
However, the minister grabbed the back collar of his shirt and held him in place. “If you lay a single finger on them…I’ll kill you!” The minister spat out, then walked into the other room to see the other kids off.
“Why am I treated like this?” Chris asked as he sat down in the chair next to him. Tears started to swell in his eye. “No one will tell me anything about my past. They won’t even tell me who my mother was, I’m so lost.” He suddenly felt a hand grab his arm, taking him out of his thoughts. He turned to see the hideous face of the minister once more.
“Chris!” the minister spat out with disgust and anger in his voice. “You know the rules! No one is allowed to sit at this table, especially YOU! You’ve just earned yourself more chores when you get back!” The minister then turned around and went into the other room. Chris let out a groan, and slammed his fist on the table.
He was lost in his train of thought when he felt something hard hit the back of his head, and forced his face to slam on the table into a bowl of cereal. Chris shot his head up and spit the cereal out of his mouth, then turned to face the two boys he hated most in the entire orphanage…Justin, and Mitchell.
Chris got an evil look in his eyes as he started to move towards the two young boys in front of him.
He was about to reach out and grab Justin, but stopped as he saw the minister walk by. “Damn!” Chris thought in his head. “Just when I was about to ring his scrawny little neck!” Chris let out a sigh and walked the other way towards the window and looked outside. As he looked out the window he saw the school bus stop in front of the orphanage. “THE BUS IS HERE!” Chris shouted.
“YEAH, WE CAN SEE THAT! SO JUST SHUT YOUR MOUTH!” One of the older kids replied.
“WELL YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE A JERK ABOUT IT!! I WAS JUST SAYING!” Chris screamed in his mind. Chris grabbed his bag and walked for the door.

Once Chris got to the doors of the bus, the bus driver closed them in front of him and started driving off.
“HEY!!” Chris yelled as he ran after it. As he ran along the side of the bus, Chris banged on the sides and windows yelling “HEY! STOP THE BUS!! COME ON! THIS ISN’T FUNNY!!”
He glared at one of the kids who gave him a perfect view of his middle finger. The kid started laughing along with everyone else in the bus…including the bus driver.

After running nearly five blocks straight, Chris came to a stop and gasped for air. He watched as the school bus continued down the road in the distance. He could hear the kids cheering and saw them giving each other high fives and fist pounds. “Why do I even bother?” He thought to himself as he started walking down the street.

Chris had not seen DC or U.S soil in over nine years. He had spent hour after hour, year after year, minute after minute training with Night Hawk and five other pre-rankings of the Seventeen Assassins to learn how to harness the elements and focus the Reaper’s power. He had completed his training a little less than three years ago, and was nearly prepared to return to the United States and start building a stronger military to halt the darkness that had been haunting the Middle East for nearly a decade. He had learned the Agroneese had raised an army of over sixty-four-million strong and would be ready to mobilize in less than two years at the most.
Although a decade had passed, Chris was still angry with the U.S government for what they did to his parents, and he knew the U.S government still wasn’t preparing for a war that would cloud the earth in clouds of darkness for years. The Red Sea would live up to its name in the near future. Even though the last time he had seen U.S. soil was a little less than a decade ago, he still had connections with a group of men who believed it was time to act instead of relying on faith and politics. In secret they were building a new faction of the military right under the government’s nose. They had been in contact with Chris for half of the past year.
Although Chris hated the government more than anything, he knew a country couldn’t function without one. However, he had developed a plan to replace the government officials with people that knew how to reverse the debt and get America back on its feet. World War Three was coming and the clouds of darkness were approaching on the horizon of time.

CHAPTER ONE
THE RETURN

Jessica awoke to the sound of her alarm clock going off and slowly opened her eyes, only to slam them shut again as the bright morning light came through her window. She rolled over and turned off her alarm clock and stretched her arms and legs out before she rubbed the sleepiness out of her eyes. She got out of bed and walked to her bathroom to take her morning shower. As she looked at herself in the mirror, she saw a much different girl than she used to. She now stood at a height of 5’11 and her physical appearance had changed much over the years. Her body had become very curvaceous and her eyes had a lighter color of brown, and her hair had darkened. She also kept her hair the length of her shoulders now.
After her parents returned four years after Chris had left, they retired from the military and moved back to Orland California to live closer to their family. However, due to Jessica’s rising fame in the city as a well-known singer, she stayed in DC so she could make a bigger name for herself. Her parents understood and bought her a small apartment deeper in the city, not far from where she worked. She had gotten a job at a nearby flower shop and made a few new girlfriends in just a matter of days. The girls she worked with never gave her a problem and would always put a smile on her face if she was having a down day. Every now and then one would come and stay the night with her at her apartment when they had days off. Jessica enjoyed her job. It wasn’t much pay, but it got the bills paid, and she could keep some food in her stomach. Every now and then she would get a chance to sing for a special event and get paid a modest amount of money. Although her job didn’t pay well, she enjoyed what she did, and her friends meant more to her than anything in the world. And to her, what fun would life be if everything was perfect? It would be dull and boring compared to the one she had now. And she wasn’t about to ask for a different job with better pay.
As Jessica left her apartment for work, she was greeted by one of the girls she worked with at her door. They both said good morning to each other and started walking to the flower shop.
“So have you heard any word from Chris yet, Jessica?” The girl asked.
“No, nothing yet. But I have this feeling that’s telling me it won’t be much longer till he’s back.” Jessica answered. “But I really do miss him. It’s been almost ten years to the day, and I haven’t seen him at all! I can’t wait to see how much he’s changed!”
“Wow! A decade?!” The other girl asked. “Girl, you must feel something special for him if you’ve been waiting ten years!”
Jessica laughed and said “You wouldn’t understand, Ashton. We had something more than just falling in love. I saved him from committing suicide and living on the streets. I convinced my parents to let him live with us and give him an actual home. I helped him learn about things he didn’t understand, and we grew on each other as time went on. I was in love with him long before I wanted to admit it… or even showed it. I hold more for him than what most girls do for their boyfriends. And Chris and I were just good friends before he left.”
“But didn’t you kiss him before he left?” Ashton asked.
Jessica only nodded and said “Yes, but ten years is a long time, and Chris was a busy guy. Maybe he doesn’t have time for a girlfriend. It’s not like being in a relationship is the most important thing to everyone.” She then hung her head and thought quietly to herself “But you don’t know half of what he can do, or the pain he’s suffered over the years. I’ve reminded myself constantly that you and the others can’t know my secrets, no matter how much I want to tell you. The last time Chris sent me a letter, our enemy in the Middle East had raised an army of fifty-million strong. You have no clue how dangerous the hands of time are right now.” She then looked at Ashton again and said “Chris has a busy schedule most of the time, so he probably won’t focus too much on women.”
Ashton nodded and said “Well, anyway, have you heard any reports on your singing at last night’s game?”
“Uh…no actually I haven’t.” Jessica replied. “But I’m not too worried about it. Singing the Star Spangled Banner for an NFL game was always a dream for me. I’m happy that I got to sing without being paid. Money isn’t everything for me, especially under something like that.”
“Hmm, well, we’re almost late, we better hurry.” Ashton said as she started walking a little faster.
“Hey, wait up!” Jessica yelled as she ran alongside Ashton the rest of the way to the flower shop.

Later that evening after closing hours, Jessica and the other girls went out to a pizza shop just next door to Jessica’s apartment. They bought two large Pizzas and went over to Jessica’s place to watch a movie and celebrate their day off tomorrow.
After the movie was over, the girls each found a place on the floor, couch, or recliner to sleep in. However, Jessica suffered through a number of nightmares through the night, and woke up sweating and breathing heavily. She looked around her room, only to see her friends sleeping soundly and the lights of the city shining through her curtains. She let out a sigh of relief and walked to her kitchen area to fill a glass of water. After finishing her glass, she sat it on the counter and wiped the remaining sweat off her face and walked around the room for a few minutes. After what seemed forever to her, she finally decided to go back to bed and sleep through what remained of the night.

The next morning, Jessica woke to find folded blankets where her friends slept and that she was home alone. She looked at her alarm clock to see it was 11:45. “Jeez! I really over did it today!” She said as she scrambled to get out of her bed and take her morning shower. After she got out of the shower she headed outside and met up with the girls at the park.
After she arrived at the park, Jessica found her friends near the Washington Monument.
“Hey, Jessica, what took so long?” One of the girls asked as she approached them.
“I over slept from having a night of nightmares.” Jessica said as she panted out of breath. “I guess I just tuned out my alarm clock while it was going off. I guess I was really out of it.”
“Nightmares? Come to think of it. I did hear you tossing and turning in the night a lot. What were they like?” Ashton asked.
“Well…I was running through an alley way with shadows following me. I got cornered and one of the figures pulled out a knife, but then another figure stopped him started fighting the others off…and then I woke up.”
“Well that’s not creepy at all.” One of the other girls said in sarcasm.
“Yeah, it’s a wonder how you even fell asleep.” Another girl said. “Getting chased through an alley has to be one of my biggest fears.”
“I wonder if it means anything. You’ve had dreams that came true the next day.” Ashton said as she returned her focus to Jessica.
Jessica sighed and said “I don’t know, but I would rather put this behind me. We’ve got some things to do today anyway. Shall we head to the mall now?”
All the other girls nodded and took a bus to the mall.

“You know what, Jessica?! From now on, I’ll be the one who chooses where we go!” Ashton said as she fell in a chair. “We’ve been walking up and down this place for the past five hours non-stop! My feet are killing me!”
Jessica laughed and sat down across from Ashton. “Oh, come on now, it can’t be that bad!”
“Well it sure feels like it!” Ashton replied.
“Well, maybe you should start running a little and try and get in good shape like me.” Jessica said with a laugh.
“Well I think that’s enough shopping for one day, and I’m really not feeling that good.” One of the girls said as she stood up.
“Really, are you sick?” Another girl asked.
“No, I think I just ate something that wasn’t very good for me.” The girl answered. “I’m just gonna head home.”
“Wait a sec, I’ll come with you, just let me grab my stuff.” Another girl said. She and two other girls grabbed their bags and started walking through the food court.
Ashton looked at Jessica and stood up. “It’s probably a good idea to leave anyway. I’ve got some studying to do, and you look like you’ve had it for the day as well.”
“Yeah, I suppose your right.” Jessica said as she stood from her chair. “Well I guess I’ll see you tomorrow at work.”
Ashton nodded and walked a little before she turned to face Jessica again. “You sure you’ll be ok by yourself tonight, Jess?”
“Yeah, I’ll lock my door the way I usually do. Don’t worry about me.”
“Well if you’re sure…”
“Yeah, you just head home and study. There’s some work I need to do anyway.” Jessica replied.
Ashton nodded and started walking again.

When Jessica arrived at her apartment she walked to her bathroom and took her evening shower. She was looking forward to the day at work tomorrow and couldn’t wait to see the girls again. Whiles humming to herself, she heard something fall in the other room. She started to feel a bit uneasy because she remembered she forgot to lock the door behind her. She turned off the water and quickly put her clothes on and then grabbed a knife she kept on top of her mirror. She slowly opened the door and peeked through, only to see an empty room lit by her TV. She let out a sigh to comfort herself and walked along the wall to her kitchen area and braced herself. She peeked around the corner to see no one was there. She let out a sigh of relief and looked around to see a picture had fallen off the wall. When she picked it up, she noticed it was the picture of her and Chris playing with each other back at her old house. She smiled softly at Chris in the picture and hung it back on the wall. “Come home soon, Chris.” She said as she rubbed her hand over his face. She smiled again and locked her door and then returned to her bathroom to finish her shower.
Later that night, Jessica woke up thirsty and a dry mouthed. She yawned and sat up in her bed and walked to her kitchen to get a glass of water. After she filled her glass, she walked back to her window to look down at the street below her. As she moved the curtains, she saw a black figure staring at her on her balcony. Her entire body froze as she stared into its eyes. They were completely red with black slits and they were filled with hatred. She dropped her glass and it shattered in pieces on her floor. She wanted to scream, but she didn’t have the courage to even blink. She felt as if the figure’s eyes were staring at her very soul. Suddenly the figure vanished into a dark cloud and there was no sign of it anywhere. Jessica tried to move, but the amount of fear she was feeling almost kept her from breathing. She wanted to tell herself it was just a nightmare, but every time she opened her eyes, she was still staring out her window, and standing in the same spot. Eventually she built enough strength and took one step towards her balcony door and made sure it was locked as well. She then walked into her kitchen, grabbed a knife, and hid it under her pillow for the rest of the night.
The next day after work, Jessica slowly headed back to her apartment, but wasn’t in any hurry. She told the other girls about what had happened and asked if she could stay the night at one of their places, but they all had some excuse and told her she would have to make it through another night at her apartment. Jessica dreaded going back. She could still picture the figure’s eyes in her head, and it scared her. She started thinking of a few ways to stay as far away from her apartment for as long as possible. After a few minutes of thinking, she decided she’d go out and watch a movie at the mall and eat at the pizza place next to her apartment. If watching a bad movie meant keeping her away from her apartment, she’d watch it again and again until her eyes were burned out from staring at the screen for so long. She sighed and called a taxi to take her to the mall.

After she had finished eating her pizza, Jessica looked at her cell phone to see it was only a little past seven and the sun was still fairly high in the sky. She looked at the building her apartment was in and shook her head. She still didn’t feel comfortable being there alone, and she didn’t want to tell any of her neighbors because they’d probably think she was crazy. She stood from her chair and started walking down the sidewalk of the street.
After walking around aimlessly for hours. Jessica finally decided to call it a day and face her fears and started walking back to her apartment. However, as she passed by an alley, several men came charging at her and one of them stuck a needle in the side of her neck, numbing her whole body and another covered her mouth with duct tape. They picked her up off her feet and carried her back into the alley way behind a building and locked her arms and legs to the wall. Then one of the men pulled out his pocket knife and cut down the center of her shirt, and opened it, revealing her stomach and bra. The man smiled sickly and grabbed the middle part of her bra. Jessica tried to move around and break free, but the iron locks were too strong for her to break out of their grip. Her eyes widened as she felt the man’s hand slip down between her breasts behind her bra. But before he could undo the knot that held her bra together, the man was sent flying through the air and slammed hard into the dumpster at the far end of the alley.
Jessica blinked at what had just happened and turned her attention to the other six men who were looking around the alley with fear in their eyes. She could see a figure approaching in the shadows behind one of them and watched as he fell to the ground before he was dragged into the shadows screaming for his life. His screams were ended by a sick slashing sound and a red liquid poured out from the shadow of the building.
The other men tried to run away, but before they got to the corner of a building, the same black figure Jessica saw the previous night appeared in front of them, making them stop and back away slowly. The figure’s eyes turned red with black slits and he pulled out a giant sword from his back and sent the men flying into the far wall with a strong sudden burst of wind. The figure then looked at Jessica and approached her.
Jessica could feel her heart bumping against her chest, and it felt like it was going to pop out if it kept going as fast as it was. She didn’t know what to expect from this guy. His face was covered in the shadows of the alley and his hood. All she could see was the lower half of the man’s face. The man waved his hand in front of her face and the iron cuffs released her, causing her to fall to the ground. She looked up at the man with eyes of wonder, but she did feel more comfortable about him than she did at first. She widened her eyes as the man gave her a smile that was very familiar to her. A smile she’d never forget no matter how hard she tried. As she stood up, the man backed away slowly and disappeared into shadow, leaving a note where he stood. Jessica picked up the note and ran back to her apartment as fast as she could.
When she arrived at her apartment, Jessica locked the door behind her and turned on her desk lamp to read the note the man had dropped.

“Meet me at the Washington Monument at sundown tomorrow.
From a friend.”

Jessica’s face beamed in happiness. She knew exactly who it was and she started to jump around her room in joy. Finally, after nearly a decade, he had returned.Tears started to fill her eyes and she held the note as close to her as she could. “You’re finally back!” She thought happily to herself.

Yes, yes, yes, I used something simmaler to what Kishi did to start of Naruto, but I got it to be original pretty fast. The only thing Chris has in common with naruto is the way he's treated. So no, I wasn't trying to steal Kishimoto's work. Besides, it's pretty hard just to come up with your own opening. Fanfictions are one thing, but your own book series is a little bit different.
