Since I feel like Ch.11 was rather... confusing in the end, I tried to look around on tumblr and in other forums. I think I get it now:

Ch.11 of :re

The end of Ch.11 ties closely to Ch.3. When Shirazu and Urie wanted to get information about Torso out of Chie Horie, that small female photographer, she wanted something in exchange:

As you can see, Chie Horie wants to have a "personal belonging from Haise with a strong scent" for Kanae. The latter is the mysterious guy we see on the second page. Chie refers to him as a female model to hide Kanae's identity. See Kanae calling out "Shu", so Tsukiyama? I'm pretty sure that Kanae is worried about his depressed master Tsukiyama and, therefore, asked Chie Horie to get something from Kaneki. I don't know why, but apparently Chie somehow knows that Sasaki is Kaneki b/c otherwise she wouldn't have asked Urie and Shirazu to give her a personal item from Sasaki. If we go to Ch.11:

 

 

 

 

Turns out what the two idiots were trading Chie with is... Sasaki's underwear (the one that has the word the energy on it). Kanae gave it to Tsukiyama who is seen in the left lower panel. He says:" What is this?" No idea what his reaction is, but he looks depressed as hell. The Tsukiyama panel must be a flashback b/c Kanae is meeting Chie to return the underwear (again, I still find it gross, lol). When Chie asks how Tsukiyama reacted he says:" Scheisse (Sh*tty), there's no point in answering that". Looks like Kanae was not pleased with the reaction Tsukiyama was giving.

Here's what I'd like to ask: If Sasaki is really Kaneki, why is Kanae giving such a negative reply to Chie's question? Did Tsukiyama not recognize Kaneki's smell in Sasaki's underwear? He should b/c we all know how obsessed Tsukiyama is with Kaneki's smell. I miss Tsukiyama's "Tres Bien" moments T_T

Btw about what I think is the better between SAO and SAO II (I apologize for avoiding the question) I have got to say I prefer SAO II over SAO because I've read the light novels and it was actually a great adaption to it. A-1 pictures did an amazing job in SAO II because In SAO A-1 pictures really missed out on important plot points that happened in the light novels.

Oh, I see, that's what those specials are. Uhm, the last major arc I left of in the One Piece manga was the Skypia Arc... When I used to watch the anime back then, I had just finished the Water 7 arc (it's been so long though). Reading everything from the start is a lot better in my opinion if I want to catch up

I just finished the Jack spinoff. Lol, nothing was said about Arima's hair color XD It's nothing necessarily important, just a simply ghoul story with Arima who was already a Ghoul investigator with 16-17. The art in there is very... simplistic. The spinoff if only seven chapters long, so it's easy to catch up. It's interesting though to learn more about Arima's personality and badass moves.

Who knows what is going on with Arima's hair color. Maybe he really is connected to Kaneki... Stress? You think that guy is in stress XD? He seems so perfectly calm most of the time (he hasn't changed a lot since he was 17).

SAOII looks definitely better.

It gets better around episode 8 or so, when the romance between him and Asuna kicks in. The second half of season one wasn't so great imo, but season two was pretty good.

Jack is only seven chapters. It's a very short spinoff that you can finish in less than one and a half hours. Like I said, you can read simply out of curiosty, but there is nothing relevant to the actual story.

True, we don't know what context in Kanae said "Scheisse". Ishida the smartass is cutting off right before Tsukiyama's reaction.

I'm trying to think who can possibly know Sasaki's true identity: CCG members; Nishiki; Touka and Yomo- maybe one of the latter three told Tsukiyama about Sasaki being Kaneki in reality, who knows.

As we can see, Yoshimura used to be or still is affiliated with this organization. "V" is after Eto/ Tatsuki b/c she's been causing disruption b/w the humans and ghouls . I suppose her existence alone is a violation in the orgainzation's eyes. Lol, they refer to Eto as "brag" not knowing that Yoshimura's child is actually a girl.

 

Most likely, "V" was the organization Yoshimura used to work for as the "cleaner" and which forced him to kill Ukina.

Ch.119

Kuzen's tasks makes sense if he belongs to "V" as he kills individuals from both sides.

 

Someone on tumblr made an interesting theory that said that Kanou was maybe trying to destroy this organization which he refers to as the "cage" that hinders humanity from evolving into stronger beings.

EDIT: Actually, it might make sense since Kaiko says "bird in a birdcage"...

 

My opinion: This organization gives of the impression of trying to establish "harmony" b/w the human and ghoul world. As expected, they do not tolerate Aogiri's existence as it catches to much attention from the human world; however, if they do not tolerate Eto b/c of her actions and her unpure Ghoul blood, it could mean that they might also later on be after Sasaki and every other one-eyed ghoul who is not fitting into their ideals. Thus, this organization is maybe also a threat for our Kaneki/ Sasaki.

If you look at the top three panels, the one in the middle looks like Rize was looking up towards the building. I think her saying "why you" confirms that she might have seen the clown masked person and known who it was, or at the very least saw the clown asked person.

Ishida is awesome- teasing us something from the very beginning towards the end. Unlike Trollmoto, Ishida seems to know from the start what he's doing, similar to Isayame for AoT. These two mangakas have control over their own work and the mysteries they are setting up themselves. But Kishi just left them... unanswered, ugh.

Stress is one thing, but calling the fans kittens is another thing. I feel like that's going a little too far. If it were me translating the chapters I'd be like "look I understand you guys are impatient for the next chapter and we'll update it as soon as we get our hands on the raw. By causing the incident, they mush have known that he'd get sent to Kanoe, thus they must have known that he would experiment with Kaneki. The clown who killed Rize was most likely killed by Souta who was present during the whole Ghoul restaurant scene. He was the one who lured the overweight woman into the restaurant, lol. Totally forgot about him. Rize might have recognized him from the restaurant- assuming she has ever gone there before b/c of her relation with Tsukiyama.

Pierrot might be related to Aogiri although Aogiri seems to have no clue about Aogiri's existence. I like your theory. But Kanou didn't expect Kaneki to get that strong, right? He simply wanted to use him as a test subject to implant the Kakohou into the two twin sisters. If a doctor was surprised about the outcome with Kaneki, how could Pierrot have known it? That's what's bugging me: Kaneki becoming so strong was an incident. For some reason, they are also interested in the CCG's movements, but show no concern whatsoever.

Oh, I'm a 100% sure now that Amon got turned into a ghoul b/c of these two pages:

Kanou already expresses an interest in Amon and calls him "subject matter". Amon is conflicted internally with what is right and wrong and couldn't go completely against Kaneki despite the hatred he harbors against Ghouls. I guess Kanou thought that Amon is more easily manipulated due to this weakness just like the twins were when they decided to give up being humans (ironically, Amon was their mentor).

 

 

 

 

 

Maybe Amon is already in one of those containers? Notice how Kanou says he likes to have Ghoul investigators as test subject b/c of their atheletic and healthy body- Amon's body would be perfect for experiments (I still remember the sixpacks, lol).

 

 

I'm excited to finish One Piece and join the fandom soon on tumblr It means something if it is still so famous after 17 yrs. Oda really touched me when I heard how he told a child who has cancer the ending of One Piece T_T

The way I took it was that Kaneki was the prototype, or the first real test subject. I thought that the twin sisters were the next generation in a way, they came after Kaneki. I don't think that either party knew how strong he would become, rather they were just interested to watch him. His strength was a convenient side-effect, something that would help Kanoe's research at a later time.

That makes sense. Considering how Kaneki was immediately given Rize's organs (or is it just the Kakuhou? I'm confused about that), he has to be the prototype- at least from the one-eyed ghouls created through Rize. Somehow then Kanou realized that Rize has the perfect body for his plans and created hundreds of other hybrid ghouls. Most likely, nobody paid attention to Kaneki b/c his body was so fragile and weak. The twin sisters were students at some kind of CCG school for orphans after all. Why do you think, Kaneki was so lucky? His body did not reject whatever Kanou transplanted in him? I really am getting suspicious of Kaneki's father... Looks like, in the last chapter, Pierrot really thought that Kaneki died (maybe they found out by now in :re).

Oh, that's a very good find with Uta's mask!! It's not the one he is using, but still. Btw, that reminds me of that Tokyo Ghoul one shot, Ishida did before the manga was even serialized in Weekly Young Jump:

The mask Kaneki is wearing is exactly the same, lol. It's probably nothing special though, but I just noticed it b/c I just finished the one shot.

For now, I think Eto is still a lot stronger than Kaneki- she's a natural one-eyed ghoul after all.  According to the wikisite, Eto can completely control her Kakuja. Kaneki is still better. It's funny how his Kakuja is a centipede; it's such an allusion to the torture scene with Yamori in which he put a centipede in Kaneki's ear.

I'm looking at my bookmark, and it says Ch.306... so yeah, I have plenty to catch up. I read those 300+ sporadically last summer. Sometimes 50 a day, then none for the next two weeks.... By the time, the next summer starts, I will finish the manga ;)

Edit: I just saw the discussion about Oda being fake in the Last theory forum. I personally think it's true... Or maybe I'm just saying this b/c I want to believe in it so badly after the sh*tty things I've been hearing from lately.

Edit: Never mind. I'm just being selfish. Just like MetalHead87 said, if the rumor is wrong, there is one less child dying b/c of cancer.

Before Tokyo Ghoul was released, Ishida released simply a one shot of Tokyo Ghoul. Maybe it was b/c of the good reception this one shot had that Ishida was asked to draw the manga for Weekly Young Jump. The art in this chapter is meh, but it doesn't hurt to check it out:

So far, I have one illustration book from CCS (got it for my birthday from my best friend <3). I love illustration books, but usually they are so expensive that I have never thought about ever getting one for myself before. "Tokyo Ghoul Zakki" however looks affordable in my eyes (well, of course I'm taking into account the shipping price). I would get it for my next birthday or Christmas present tbh- if it weren't for the fact that it's in Japanese T_T and that a quarter of the book is made up of the manga volume covers. I wish there was also some sort of databook for Tokyo Ghoul- I'm sick resorting to Wikipedia everytime  :(

The pics in there are amazing! I love Ishida's drawing style! Oh, and btw: He often seems to portray Kaneki and Touka together Like in these ones:

Because this is obviously what I should be spending my time thinking about.

I know Arima’s hair turning from black to white like Kaneki’s has been a source of interest, and I was curious as to whether there’s any importance to it too. While looking through Zakki scans (courtesy of an /a/non who scanned the book), I actually read the text next to the image of Arima used as the cover for volume 13 for the first time, and it shed a little light on that question. As far as I know nobody’s posted a translation of this yet so I’ll just throw this out there.

I drew Arima with dark blue hair throughout Tokyo Ghoul JACK and imagined that his hair would gradually get grayer and grayer from there, but when I saw the anime PV, I noticed they’d drawn him with dark blue hair again and thought, “Uh oh!”

I painted this with the goal of making his hair color as clear as possible.

I still don’t know if there’s any significance to his hair color change, but this comment seems to say that it didn’t change color suddenly from a traumatic event like Kaneki’s.  Maybe poor Arima just has bad genes.

That makes sense. Considering how Kaneki was immediately given Rize's organs (or is it just the Kakuhou? I'm confused about that), he has to be the prototype- at least from the one-eyed ghouls created through Rize. Somehow then Kanou realized that Rize has the perfect body for his plans and created hundreds of other hybrid ghouls. Most likely, nobody paid attention to Kaneki b/c his body was so fragile and weak. The twin sisters were students at some kind of CCG school for orphans after all. Why do you think, Kaneki was so lucky? His body did not reject whatever Kanou transplanted in him? I really am getting suspicious of Kaneki's father... Looks like, in the last chapter, Pierrot really thought that Kaneki died (maybe they found out by now in :re).

Oh, that's a very good find with Uta's mask!! It's not the one he is using, but still. Btw, that reminds me of that Tokyo Ghoul one shot, Ishida did before the manga was even serialized in Weekly Young Jump:

The mask Kaneki is wearing is exactly the same, lol. It's probably nothing special though, but I just noticed it b/c I just finished the one shot.

For now, I think Eto is still a lot stronger than Kaneki- she's a natural one-eyed ghoul after all.  According to the wikisite, Eto can completely control her Kakuja. Kaneki is still better. It's funny how his Kakuja is a centipede; it's such an allusion to the torture scene with Yamori in which he put a centipede in Kaneki's ear.

I'm looking at my bookmark, and it says Ch.306... so yeah, I have plenty to catch up. I read those 300+ sporadically last summer. Sometimes 50 a day, then none for the next two weeks.... By the time, the next summer starts, I will finish the manga ;)

Edit: I just saw the discussion about Oda being fake in the Last theory forum. I personally think it's true... Or maybe I'm just saying this b/c I want to believe in it so badly after the sh*tty things I've been hearing from lately.

Edit: Never mind. I'm just being selfish. Just like MetalHead87 said, if the rumor is wrong, there is one less child dying b/c of cancer.

Im pretty sure that he was given actual organs as opposed to just the Kakuhou. That's why he has to eat human/ghouls, because he needs to maintain the health of his ghoul organs. The Q's were given only the Kakuhou, so they dont need to eat flesh. I'm not sure exactly why Kanecki may be special though. Maybe family history or something? 

 

I think Eto is still way stronger as well. Kaneki doesn't even have full control of his Kakuja, unlike her. And did you see her in that last chapter? She was toying with Arima XD

 

Eh, I'm not sure whether its true or not. I never saw anything that said it was false except that one forum moderator. But he didn't even give any sources or anything.

 

Oooh! I hope someone uploads scans of the illustration book! I want!!! Especially if there a lot of TouKen
