I haven't written about them in a very long time (I don't read much NS either) but I laid in my bed yesterday and inspiration came to me in the form of a NS story. I have put all of my writing on hold for now because of my job but I can still do some planning. I just want to post some stuff I want to accomplish for this story (which can change eventually.)

 

 

Title: Maiden of Water

 

Summary: Tsunade turned Sakura down when she asked for apprenticeship, and with nothing left to lose, she accepted a mysterious invitation to become a priestess at a Water Temple. She just never thought she would be fighting for her life against demons and cursed spirits. Her descent into madness had just begun and she didn't have her teammates to protect her this time. 

 

 

What I am looking to accomplish with this story:

• First part of the story will mostly about Sakura’s time with the temple which spans the entire three year time-skip.

• Explore a different side of the Naruto universe (demons, spirits, exorcisms.)

• Explore Uzumaki Clan’s role with demons and spirits (mostly being the perfect containers for demons or spirits to inhabit)

• Explore psychological themes and dark themes.

• Expand more on the connection between the demons, spirits, and tailed beasts.

• It will be canon divergent in a way but Sakura story and the main story will converge at some point changing the entire story line.

• Explore the Haruno Clans unique ancestry.

 

 

What I plan to accomplish with Sakura:

• She will not be the same Sakura we love but will still have aspects of her core personality. She will definitely develop into a kind of anti-hero of the story. (She won’t be like Sasuke)

• Develop Naruto and Sakura relationship and that is something that would happen later after the three year time skip. Their relationship will be complex, angst, and deep but very satisfying. (Yes, my first NS story in 2-3 years)

• Sakura will fully explore her water element (as with the title) but it will be expanded exponentially.

• Sakura's unique ancestry will play a part in the story.

 

For this story, you guys can expect the usual Naruto but more mature and a bit smarter and his relationship with Sakura will be a slow burn.

I guess I can give a spoiler. Anyway, we know Sakura's clan symbol is a white circle which means "the beginning of a new cycle and opportunities for spiritual growth. It represents purity, perfection, and new life." "Purity" plays a big part in her becoming a priestess. Her blood and her virginity.

 

For this story, I want Haruno Clan and Uzumaki Clan to be related in some way (not by blood) and the story will eventually show all of that.

Look at us thinking about same things AND going on about in the same way, but differently.

 

I have them kinda related as well hehe, but not totally by blood either. It's a more complex thing, which I hope to get to properly explain.

 

And interesting how you play on the symbolism. I played it on the sun/illumination/circle which are all interconnected in some way.

 

Whoaa, gotta give it to you, Luna. I'm excited!
