Regular seasons are wrapping up and the playoffs get under way soon for the leagues.

For the NHL, I think Washington might win the Cup this year, they've looked real good.

NBA, while the Warriors are the favorite, I don't think they're invincible. They'll have to watch out for other Western Conference teams.

I think the Cavs will beat them if Kyrie(Kairi  :chuckle: ) Irving and Kevin Love are healthy.

Do you think there's anybody in the East that can stop them? I could see maybe a team putting up a good fight but no one winning a full 7 game series.

The Cavs? Maybe the Raptors. I'm a Raptors fan because believe it or not I'm friends with their role player Patrick Patterson. Me and him switched phone numbers when he played at UK.

Washington will choke, as they are wont to do every time they have a good team. The hottest team in hockey are the Pens.

Ain't nobody beating Golden State. Nobody.

And now they have 73. Congrats to them. Anybody think Curry will come close to Kobe's & MJ's rings?

There was something so very Kobe about scoring 60 points on 50 shots last night at the same time that Curry was continuing his exercise in efficient shooting.

Not even half way through the 3rd period but it's already not looking good for Minnesota. Can't be down 2-0 and only have 14 SOG when the other team has 23, especially against the Stars. I have a bad feeling about this series.

One other thing I noticed was the Penguins, they looked red hot against New York in game 1, look out for Pittsburgh.

And now they have 73. Congrats to them. Anybody think Curry will come close to Kobe's & MJ's rings?

Maybe, but it might take a while for them to do it the way NBA "dynasties" have been the last 15 years. It took Kobe and the Lakers from 2000-2010 to win five championships and it took the Spurs from 1999-2014 to do the same thing.

It seems like in sports now it's harder than ever to do something like a three peat or win three in four years.

I figure the Warriors might win back-to-back championships this season, but they could have their pitfalls as the years go by. Meaning by 2020, they may win one or two more with their current core.

So here's where we stand in the playoffs right now

Stanley Cup, 2nd round:

  • Tampa Bay leads New York Islanders 2-1
  • Pittsburgh leads Washington 2-1
  • St. Louis leads Dallas 2-1
  • San Jose leads Nashville 2-1

NBA, 2nd round:

  • Cleveland leads Atlanta 1-0
  • Miami leads Toronto 1-0
  • Golden State leads Portland 2-0
  • OKC and San Antonio tied at 1-1

Washington will choke, as they are wont to do every time they have a good team. The hottest team in hockey are the Pens.

You were totally right. So far the Penguins have been the better team in their series, they can win the whole thing. The other series match ups are a bit more even I think. I might actually be rooting for the Blues to knock out Dallas after what happened to Minnesota.

As for the NBA, Golden State is scary good. Even with Curry out they've been owning teams. I do think that either OKC or SA can manage to pull off a victory if they play the perfect series, though.

Nice overtime win for my team last night. One more game and the Pens put away Ovie and the Caps yet again.

Pens win and the Caps are out of the playoffs again. I'm starting to think Alex Ovechkin might become one of those great players to never get a ring.

My boy Karl Anthony Towns just won NBA Rookie of the year. First UK player to do that.

It's a super exciting time to be a Minnesota Timberwolves fan. Wiggins and Towns back-to-back ROY and bringing on Coach Thibodeau. This is the most potential we've had since the early 2000s with KG I'd say. Of course I (and most Minnesotans) are cautiously optimistic since Twin Cities has had some sports struggles. Still, it's great to see.

How about the playoffs recently. OKC takes down GS and Cavs wreck Toronto. I'm actually kind of rooting for OKC to win it all right now, be cool to see KD and Westbrook get rings.

You are lucky to have a guy like Towns. He is the nicest basketball I ever seen.

That's awesome man.

Anybody watch the OKC vs Golden State game tonight? OKC isn't just winning, they're winning decisively. Golden State needs to get into gear otherwise they're gone Thursday.

Also the Penguins won tonight so there will be a game 7, they're still my pick to win the cup this year.
